Unless the Cardinals feel like radically reinventing their brand, leaning on the flag imagery is probably the best way forward.

I sort of agree. But the issue is that the flag colors really clash with red.

A total rebrand is the way to go. Cardinals are just barely native to the state, anyway.

WR/KR Clarence Verdin wore #2 for the Falcons in 1994...all of the 80s were taken up, but strangely no one on the team wore a number in the teens.

WRs weren't allowed to wear 10-19 until 2004. It's possible Verdin got a waiver because all of the 80s were in use.

The Juneteenth Flag. The only thing I would change is to get rid of the date running down the end.

I've never seen a Juneteenth flag with the date before.

I understand tradition of FSU and how these were viewed as a disgrace from the traditional look, but tradition aside WOW are these just some of the sexiest uniforms around. That helmet is one of the best helmets in the nation (might be better with a garnet or black facemask). Really wish they'd bust these out in a big time night game.

It's funny, because the opposite of everything you said is my own opinion.

College football design is completely different from pro football, but that uniform just destroys the boundaries of any classiness or taste whatsoever. It's like they told the designers to go hog wild and throw every kitschy college football uniform element in that they could.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that those particular uniforms wouldn't look very out of place on Oregon.

  5. I'm from Southwestern Ohio, but I could never stand the Bengals. I was a casual Bears fan (my dad's from there), but the Dave Wannstedt era made me give up in disgust.

Shortly after, I moved to Boston and assimilated pretty much everything about the area, including a love of the Pete Carroll-led Patriots. I never could have guessed they'd quickly go on to become the most successful and widely-hated NFL team of the 21st century :D
