  1. That's a pretty damn ingenious way to tie back to the old NLU logo.
  2. Nice catch.I didn't even notice that. The only thing I'd suggest on the Pats logo is adjusting the positioning of the ball. the angle just looks off if she's holding on to the ball to snap it.
  3. I really like the new PL number font. Looks good on TV.
  4. Those Miami unis would look so much better without the tire-tread pattern. I don't understand why that's even a thing. Has Adidas ever put out literature explaining the purpose of the pattern in the fabric?
  5. Man, it's so weird to see an Everton kit with a sponsor logo other than Chang. It's going to take some getting used to for me.
  6. It's not you. There's soooooo much white space now.
  7. Meanwhile, Pelicans fans are like...
  8. Add me to the list that like the drop shadow for the Sixers. It's got a nice, classic-retro vibe to it that works nicely with their current branding. No leaks on anything for the Pelicans yet, huh?
  9. Isn't this around the time when players started shortening sleeves on their own or rolling them up under the shoulder pads?
  10. Anyone else see a bit of irony that Idaho are using "#RaiseTheBar" the season prior to them dropping down a level in competition?
  11. Looks like LSU is going with 3-D neck bumper lettering:
  12. Agreed. The crocodile and ball on the new crest are absolutely terrible.
  13. That's true in some instances. But I don't believe calling Nike out for just recoloring their template and using the same design across multiple kits for multiple clubs shows any "ignorance of the design process." In my opinion, it shows that the design process was minimal and lazy. Nike has been called out in past seasons for just using recolored templates for many of its teams. This season is no different. Maybe that will change in the next few years with the Spurs Nike kits. However, based on their recent track-record, I don't believe that's going to happen. I'm sure their Nike speak will point to a history of bland, white tops with navy shorts which would be accurate....but there are ways to do that and still make the kit unique (other than the shielded crest) that sets it apart from other clubs' kits. So, yes, I'm going to call what they've done "lazy" as that's what it is in my eyes. The Chelsea, PSG and Barca tops appear to be using a modified collar, but other than that are the same shirt, just recolored and re-badged. And supposedly, Spurs' third kit will be a purple/white version of this.
  14. i don't call using the Paint tool on the kit to be designing them. Sorry. I just don't. If you want to, then let's just say they were incredibly lazy in their design. Either way, you know what I meant.
  15. I love that Atletico kit. Wish Nike would have actually spent some time designing kits for Spurs for this upcoming season.
  16. Definitley. The logo is very retro, but just not in a good way. I don't see it as being an instantly recognizable mark.
  17. I hate the shield and absolute blandness of the shirts. They look like they were just picked from a catalog and color-filled to match the team's colors. WHY couldn't Spurs have stayed with UA????! (I know...$$$)
  18. Awesome. I love to see that you're keeping this going. You've had some really fantastic designs. Can't wait to see more.
  19. I couldn't disagree with this more. It's another bland Nike kit stuck on a template with absolutely no added design elements. It's a straight kit template. I prefer all of these home shirts over the leaked Nike:
  20. Here's what we have in New Orleans:
  21. I'm guessing she never will.....SHE WAS THERE! Of course there's absolutely zero chance of her mis-remembering...right?
  22. Yep....my initial thought was a UNC logo pin from back in the day. Definitely not Gumbo. Per THIS ARTICLE from last August, the dog was given to the team on Sept 12, 1967...only 5 days before the team's first game vs the Rams. It's highly unlikely they would have had pins of mascot. My guess is that it was either a pin given out at the game because they played the Rams or it's a UNC pin. Here's the original "Gumbo" mascot:
  23. Absolutely, I was just pointing out that it makes more sense to say they resemble those peer schools with actual purple/gold color-schemes over a school like Pitt. Personally, I rarely like when teams/schools switch to darker shades of colors. I like the bright yellows, kelly greens and royal blues in sports.
  24. I'd argue that the colors are too close to James Madison and Western Carolina.
  25. I think it's a good look overall.....especially after seeing what Nike has done with other clubs. I'm not a fan of the mismatched sleeves and I would prefer a wider font for the numerals. Other than that. I think it's fine.
