  1. Starter didn't start making NBA unis until the late 90's - I think it was 1998. That Hornets jersey is a definate fake - it looks like it was made based on a vague description of an actual jersey...
  2. Same here. I have 93-94 home & road Richmond jerseys, but I want the powder blues... @Redsox44 - there were also Heat & Bucks soul swingmen. The 81-82 Bucks jerseys are damn near impossible to find - I've seen maybe 3 or 4 on ebay in the last 5 years.
  3. Swingman Soul jerseys were identical to regular swingmans (swingmen?), but of retired players. I have a few, typical Adidas "quality". The Theus looks like a fake though - I'm not sure if Adidas released his jersey. Shame, 'cause I've been trying to get a couple of mid-80s Kings jerseys for a while.
  4. Yeah, but at least this guy has the decency to state that they're bootleg jerseys: "Jerseys are replicas and not authentic licensed NBA merchandise." As if it wasn't obvious enough...
  5. Howabout possibly the only time Allan Houston wore the Pistons' horsehead unis (he signed with the Knicks just a short while late):
  6. One that I'm 99.9% sure hasn't been posted yet - Sidney Moncrief, during his one-year stint with the Hawks:
  7. So much wrong with this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Larry-Johnson-1992-93-CHARLOTTE-HORNETS-Jersey-/260726230292?pt=US_Basketball_Fan_Shop&hash=item3cb47e8d14
  8. Nevermind...I should have checked the site first. I am not an NBA fan, but I had never seen that before. Yeah, they wore that for a couple of seasons back around 1979-81. Isiah never wore that uni though, the Pistons switched to the classic Bad Boy look for his rookie season.
  9. You pretty much hit the nail on the head with that one. Is there a reason for that? I don't understand. PArticularly on a website for people obsessed with logos, uniforms, and sports in general. Not to mention some "grown men" who wear jerseys earn more in one year than you will probably see in your life time. It's just my opinion. I just think jerseys are a little goofy for men to be wearing around, particularly football jerseys. And that goes for going to game or going to the store. IMO, there is no proper situation for the man jersey. And just because you make some money doesn't mean you can't look like a jackass. But they are ok on women, right? Tell me there is something sexier than a girl wearing an NFL Jersey.... Yeah, a girl wearing a hockey jersey.
  10. I recently bought a fake Milwaukee Bucks M&N jersey ('84 Bob Lanier), which cost the equivalent of $25. Compared to the authentic version I have, it's actually better quality (everything sewn on, which is technically inaccurate, better quality material & stitching). It almost seems a shame to cut it up - I only bought it so I could use the side panels on a custom jersey I'm making.
  11. I hate the Yankees' unis. Too dull. The Warriors' "The City" unis, just bad design. Love the Clippers' unis - simple & classy. Any uniform using the tequila sunrise/rainbow guts/ultrastripe template. 80's Nuggets & Bucks unis (my favourites of all-time). The original Hornets logo & unis (which got me into b-ball in the first place). The 76ers' early 90's "starburst" unis, I love those too. Any team wearing powder blue. Subscript NOB. Any unusual or outlandish uni works for me.
  12. Lakers proto home jersey from c. 1967-68:
  13. I'd have thought they'd have retired Bob McAdoo or Randy Smith's numbers by now, but hey, that's the Clippers for you. Sterling's probably too cheap to spring for the hundred bucks' worth of fabric it would take to make any banners.
  14. I've got 'em on a CD somewhere. I'll see if I can dig it out.
  15. Don't the Clippers have at least some retired numbers? Mind you, other than McAdoo (and maybe DiGregorio and Randy Smith), I can't think of anyone that's really contributed that much to the Clippers franchise...
  16. People crap on the Blazers' selection of Bowie, but 1) they needed a big man, 2) they drafted Glide the year before and 3) who knew Jordan would turn out so good? By the same note, you could say that the Rockets screwed the pooch by drafting Olajuwon over Jordan...
  17. How about Robert Parish as a Bull ('96-'97)? I've got a few to post as soon as I can scan my pics...
