  1. Per their Twitter account, the Hartford Yard Goats will unveil their uniforms next Tuesday.
  2. News from Yard Goats land, as they unveiled their two (yes, two!) mascots today. Say hello to Chompers and Chew Chew:
  3. Per today's Uni Watch, the LA Angels of Anaheim will be simply the "LA Angels" next season.
  4. If Hooters ever offered that with their boneless wings I'd never leave.
  5. http://deadspin.com/proposed-rams-stadium-would-cost-taxpayers-a-hell-of-a-1735164980 New St. Louis stadium to cost $215M more than reported?
  6. HURR DURR WHERE'S THE ASTERISK HURR DURR (Figured I'd get that in now before any of you got any ideas. )
  7. You forget two things: instant cross-state rivalry with the Chiefs. Plus fewer trips to the Pacific time zone (in a hypothetical new AFC West, you'd have LA-DEN-STL-KC), which means better start times for your away games. I'd take that if I was Kroenke.
  8. Didn't want to pollute the Ohio State TV number thread with this, but it fits here: The large TV numbers tOSU had in the 90's look dumb.
  9. Alternate mark revealed this afternoon by Brandiose via Twitter. I'd assume this is a sleeve patch.
  10. @DaytonBlue - I don't think it is...I've seen a wordmark graphic out there the mothership doesn't have yet. I'd be shocked if there wasn't any bat-swinging goat. @sc49erfan - I thought at first glance the H was designed to evoke the Memorial Arch in Bushnell Park, but it could just be an H with goat horns. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, it's this:
  11. Whalers colors, BTW. Smart marketing. The fact the Hartford script is a perfect match for the railroad logo is inspired. It's not just old-timey for the sake of being old-timey. Brandiose hit a (ahem) home run here IMO.
  12. Per the team's Twitter, the Hartford Yard Goats will unveil their logos on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Odds on an anthropomorphic goat being a part of the package: 2:1.
  13. And now there's this: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/05/28/missouri-legislators-file-suit-against-potential-rams-stadium/
  14. Meanwhile, in London.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3052321/Tottenham-consider-sharing-new-400m-stadium-NFL-London-franchise.html
  15. Yes, but Springfield isn't owned by an NHL team. Unless the Yotes buy the Falcons, they're going nowhere. And it's bad optics for the franchise in the same city as your league offices to up and move because its parent club says so.
  16. Here's the update: Columbus - from Springfield to Lake Erie (confirmed) Arizona - from Portland to Springfield Colorado - from Cleveland to San Antonio Also in that (and I think we missed it), Florida has affiliated with Portland. I should note that these are all described as "multi-year affiliations", which means we can forget about Springie moving west anytime soon. sauce: http://theahl.com/falcons-monsters-rampage-swap-nhl-affiliates-p197468
  17. At least with "Whirlybirds" you could connect the name to United Technologies, parent company of Sikorsky Aircraft (which makes whirlybirds, aka helicopters).
  18. Me in 1995: "What the hell is a Rock Cat?!" Me in 2015: "What the hell is a Yard Goat?!"
  19. That's a real head scratcher. Or could it be that they are just representing it wrong on the pic of the grey road uni? It's a mock-up. I'd expect everything to match once these actually hit the field.
  20. I'm surprised the listing of Phillies affiliates earlier missed the early-90s Batavia Clippers (well, the cap, at least):
