Per the team's Twitter, the Hartford Yard Goats will unveil their logos on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
Odds on an anthropomorphic goat being a part of the package: 2:1.

Yes, but Springfield isn't owned by an NHL team. Unless the Yotes buy the Falcons, they're going nowhere.
And it's bad optics for the franchise in the same city as your league offices to up and move because its parent club says so.
-
Here's the update:
Columbus - from Springfield to Lake Erie (confirmed)
Arizona - from Portland to Springfield
Colorado - from Cleveland to San Antonio
Also in that (and I think we missed it), Florida has affiliated with Portland.
I should note that these are all described as "multi-year affiliations", which means we can forget about Springie moving west anytime soon.

If this is the mascot, all will be forgiven in my book:
-
This is Brandiose we're talking about here. That's a given.

At least with "Whirlybirds" you could connect the name to United Technologies, parent company of Sikorsky Aircraft (which makes whirlybirds, aka helicopters).

Me in 1995: "What the hell is a Rock Cat?!"
Me in 2015: "What the hell is a Yard Goat?!"

Edit: And what's this with two different number fonts?
That's a real head scratcher. Or could it be that they are just representing it wrong on the pic of the grey road uni?
It's a mock-up. I'd expect everything to match once these actually hit the field.

Huckleberry Finn. Written by Hartford resident Mark Twain.
And I gather you're right about the contest - I have a feeling we're going to be welcoming the Hartford Yard Goats before too long.
-
I saw the name "Rhode Island Red Sox" thrown around in a Boston Globe article (I think that's what it was).
But I think fans will just call them the Pro-Sox.
-
I know. Look at the shape. It's a C.
-
I like it overall, but what's with the shield's open end?
It's a C.
-
If you took the sleeves off the gray Celtics they'd look pretty good. It would also help if it wasn't the Celtics wearing gray, but I still like the look.
I'd rather the C's add gold instead of gray or black.

Then what the hell happens to the Scotiabank Tire Palladium? It's not like its old or out of date. And Ottawa doesn't exactly seem like a two arena town.
Ottawa already is a two-arena town. You forget the 67s still play at the Civic Centre (or whatever corporate name it now has).

I prefer Schooners, but watch the team end up being the Mullets.

That woman's smile couldn't be more fake than if she ordered it directly from China.

I don't care what Brandiose says, that blotch on the sleeve is not a rose.
Marks aren't bad otherwise, though.

Massachusetts is definitely going to the AAC. Gives a replacement for Louisville and a travel partner for Connecticut.
Provided Connecticut is still in the American by then. Given the recent basketball successes, it's not necessarily a given.
Still holding on to that slim prayer of the B1G and ACC I take it.
UConn alumnus, Class of '98. I'm entitled.

I'd love to see this one updated:

"Polyvoltac" is Helvetica Bold.
The number 5 is some form of Microgramma.
