Since this thread is pinned I don't feel bad posting in it since the last post has been years.... ...is it time to put together another repository for the best threads? I would love to look through some of the best fictional universe type threads (PERRIN's NAFA and kb105's AUIA are two of my favourites), but just a general listing of the strongest work would be great to put together.

City of Frederick (MD) announces new flag
LaGrandeOrange replied to DCarp1231's topic in General Design
I like both of the other finalists better but there's no way to do worse than the original. -
Definitely riding the line between minimalist and boring- but I suppose they are trying to fit into the sort of faux high-end shoppy shop aesthetic? They kinda hit that.

FIFA AMERICAS Concepts - Template Release / Brazil 8/30

Thanks! It must be an input into Affinity problem, I must confess this is not something I know well. EDIT: Something I do know well is how to Google things, even though that now requires you to add "reddit" at the end, since Google is broken. https://www.reddit.com/r/Affinity/comments/va7ceo/open_ai_adobe_illustrator_files_in_affinity/ This link explains the process to make it work in Affinity, if anyone here is an Affinity user. -
FIFA AMERICAS Concepts - Template Release / Brazil 8/30

Are there supposed to be a bunch of hidden layers in things like the collar library and manufacturer logos? I am using Affinity and nothing is showing up besides the default- this isn't a problem I just was curious. -

I love it- I could tell the Argentina one, but I had to turn my brightness up all the way to make out the Canadian change shirt but I adore it, will look great in person (were it to be made). -

Don't worry, we're not a legit team now- we were the only team Nike did not give a new kit for in Qatar. I love the collar and the stripes on the red kit, is there a sublimated pattern on the black? It's hard to tell on my screen (but it may very well be just me). -

Is this a real adidas font? It's very cool- I haven't seen it yet, a big upgrade on their World Cup font. -

The overtness of the English symbolism would be...tricky to maintain past the 60's. I like C, which looks more modern than the original logo while still maintaining the legacy.

Seattle Totems/Thunderbirds Concept (Alternate and RR added)
LaGrandeOrange replied to B-mer's topic in Concepts
I adore this, I love what you ended up with for the number font, it really pops on both sweaters. Seattle has to be one of the best muses of the North American cities, so many beautiful Seattle concepts. -
What is this typeface? It looks so familiar.

BMO operates under the name BMO Harris in the States and appears to be in California. I know when I was in Chicago they were everywhere. -

Real missed opportunity to take the number 69! It's hilarious! -
MLS/CPL by Nike MLS(8/29) CPL(0/8) D.C. United

Pretty slick, I'd never really considered diagonal stripes, I don't hate it. I'm wary of ever wearing Toronto's red though. -
North American Pro Soccer 2023

For sure- in the hands of a different group I'd be content that the money would be used to build (and obviously it's not like Koné was a huge contributor to 2022) but Saputo's general oscillating between rashness and disinterest makes me feel like this year was as good as we'll be getting for a while. -
Apologies for going off topic here but...what kind of hats relate to Esperanto?

Impact CFM had a pretty rocky few days- Koné to Watford official, Johnston to Celtic official, Nancy to Crew official. Safe to say this club will be very different next year. -

jackkmart's Concept Emporium - It's just a bunch of random concepts
LaGrandeOrange replied to jackkmart's topic in Concepts
Patriotes logo is beautiful in a vacuum, and fitting on this St-Jean, but I'd be wary of 1.) using a Maple Leaf along with Patriote iconography and 2.) using that iconography in the first place, as in 2022 it's now loaded with...certain political meaning.- 22 replies

Great work! Fits in with the "roundelisation" of the various top flights. What is the typeface- is it Gill Sans?

NAFA Project | MIA, CHI, SA, DET updates added 1/19
LaGrandeOrange replied to PERRIN's topic in Concepts
Have you designed a graphic with all the club logos in one place? Or broken down by division? Visiting your Behance and seeing them together you get a good sense of your overall aesthetic, I think it'd be cool to see a league logo breakdown (or something like the league logo compilations you see here on Sportslogos.net !) -
Canada is in first place in CONCACAF, has the best player in CONCACAF....never would expect this in Men's. I don't expect it to last long, but I'm thrilled.
