Doesn't seem like it, does it?
And what's up with Draisaitl? He just looks... tired.

RIP the Tropicana
Crazy. I just stayed there last week. Would be a little sad to see it go; one of the longest standing strip hotels, but that property is in rough shape. A shame none of the proposed renovations for it came to light. One heck of a location for the ball park though.

This is a much smaller broadcast than a Stanley Cup Playoff game, but it will give you the basic idea. They're setting up the graphics package that goes with the replay. You see the final result on the picture-in-picture at the bottom right of the screen. Their high five afterwards is not normal truck behavior, but it does give you an idea of how tricky they thought the move was going to be.
There's an orchestral feel to it. The high-five is understandable. Very cool, thanks for sharing.

Things can get really hectic in the production truck. There's nothing to see here.
This is really interesting.. I would love to see what goes all into making those work. I was getting irrationally angry at the SOG count during game 4 because it wasn't updating fast enough for my standards lol. Now I kind of feel bad because someone was probably struggling with something out of their control.
There were a few times in Game 7 that the clock was acting funky - especially below 1 minute remaining. It was jumping down in time in weird increments like .4 or .7 seconds at a time, would then go back to 'normal' counting down by .1 second, only to 'skip' again. It was odd.

Hypothesis:
- Toronno wins tonight -> Boston wins tomorrow 100%.
- Leafs lose tonight & Boston wins tomorrow -> Leafs win game 7.
- Leafs lose tonight & Boston loses tomorrow -> Leafs lose game 7.
There's just no way the Leafs end the drought and avoid Boston in the same postseason. Hockey law won't allow it.
This is why I don't bet on sports.
Anyway, crazy game. Bruins fans don't fret; after Tampa's spectacular meltdown in 2019 they turned around and won back to back cups. So the rest of us have that to look forward too....

This is a joke, right?

I honestly expected the entire thing to fall apart at the last minute and for this to drag out in a miserable way.
Same. Even his exit from GB was better than Favre's.
I echo the sentiments of the other Packer fans above. It was an incredible ride, no doubt, but all parties were ready to move on. Bring on the Summer of Love in Titletown

Yup. MLB revenue has skyrocketed with TV deals even as stadium attendance continues to decline. If there are sizable untapped TV markets
to exploit, MLB is going to be interested. -
Rough game 4 for the Wild. They played well enough to win 5x5 but gave up two PP goals on two phantom penalties. Just a backbreaker of a game. It's 2-2 in the series but feels like 1-3 heading into game 5.

Oh dang, I hadn't seen that it was broken. I still think Carolina are a better team but yeah, that definitely makes things more interesting.

Few takeaways thus far:
- It's only been 4 periods but impressed with Winnipeg's play; not your regular season Jets thus far.
- Not your regular season Bruins thus fair either...
- Toronno opened the release valve, but not all the way - let's see if they carry that pent up energy with them to Tampa.
- Rangers are playing like cup winners
- Oilers' power play is crazy good. 5x5 is keeping the Kings alive with bad penalties.
- Wild are playing better than the scoreline suggests. Majority of Dallas' goals are coming on special teams. I expect the Wild to take both games in St Paul
- Carolina has only eked out their two wins; they've got another level left in them. They'll take a step back in game 3 but they'll take game 4 and 5
- Stanley Cup Playoffs, have you met the Seattle Kraken?! Love the statement game 1 win in their debut.

Now that the Cards are changing, i would think the race for worst NFL uniforms goes something like this:
- Commanders. Yeah, sure, the Titans, Falcons, Rams, and Broncos have a case, but all those designs at leat have consitence. Washington looks like all three uniforms were designed by different people, and only 1/3 looks decent. then we get to all the issues like the no-stripe pants, odd designs inside the numbers, BFBS, and so on. It should be unanimous that this is the worst.
- Titans. What we got from the Titans is a massive dissapointment, given what we could have had with the color scheme. Most of this thread has already beat the Snatit to death, so I won't go in depth here.
- Broncos. Just let it go already. You have the color rush, just make an all-white version and mix-and-match the two (with navy socks, of course). Stop holding on to the side panels. Everyone else has dumped them.
- Rams. I think we all know why they're on this list.
- Falcons/Eagles. Hear me out. I think the Falcons get way to much hate for their set, and I think Philly doesn't get enough hate for their set. Philadelphia looks extremely dated, and the shade of green isn't really the biggets problem I see. the number font has worn out it's welcome, and I think green/silver/black is a great combo, but they've made all three so dark and drab to the point where you can hardly tell when charcoal is being used. And don't ask me what's going on with thier pants stripe. I think Philly nailed the original versions of the Midnight Green, (1997-2002) then proceeded to tinker with it a little too much.
*Makes new thread specifically for Cardinals; immediately discuss 7 non-Cardinal franchises

Is there data about visiting team fandom for the Golden Knights?
Not that I know of, I'd be very curious to know. Especially considering their early success and how that impacted local sales from what was 'expected'. It's a unique set of circumstances for that franchise. At some point, the Knights will have a bad season and it will be interesting to see the impact that has on attendance.
On the Raiders side of things, it's been voiced about the number of opposing fans in Vegas. But like BBTV said, people plan trips well in advance for football games. Not really a fair comparison.

I don't think a significant amount of people are going to plan a trip to LV to sit and watch some run-of-the-mill Tuesday game between the Rolling Bones and Cleveland Guardians.
Not stadium-filling numbers, no. But I'd argue more away fans are drawn to Vegas than say Milwaukee or Cleveland on a Tuesday game. Just saying, their ticket sales to away fans will be higher than most. Revenue is revenue.

it's equally as odd to have sparkles in the helmet, silver face mask and a plain uniform.
This is true.
I'm just sayin, best not underestimate Nike's ability to make something horrific and gaudy using the colors they already have

The thing about Vegas is the draw of away-game fans. Is that a sustainable business model? No. But it's definitely a bigger factor there than most other markets.

The closer we get, the more it feels like the color-change rumors are a decoy. It would just be so odd to only minimally change the bird logo and helmet, and then have a completely different color scheme for the rest of the set.

ESPN (so take it with a large grain of salt) is throwing around Salt Lake City as a potential option for relocation, only going as far to say "Jazz owner Ryan Smith has met with Bettman within the past year."
Now that's an interesting location. Anyone know if hockey has any type of following in the Beehive State?
