This matchup only occurred in 1988; only time the red-helmet Falcons met the 1988-2006 Chargers look.
IIRC, the Chargers only wore that uniform in 1988.

The white helmet Bills and striped helmet Bengals only met 3 times in the 3 seasons these uniforms coincided.
But 2 of them- 1981 regular season, 1983 regular season were blue Bills jersey vs. white Bengals jersey- according to http://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/)
Thus, the Bills-Bengals 1981 AFC Divisional Playoffs were the only time ever these specific jersey/helmet combinations met up
That's gotta be one of the first ever visors worn.

These uniforms suck. The jerseys are too generic and the striping looks like orange duct tape with tiger stripes. It's an overall outdated set that should stay in the past.
If I knew what your face looked like, and saw you in public, I would punch you in the throat.( kidding of course)
Those were my favorite uniforms of all time.

Block font should be the only eligible font out there.

Gregg was their head coach in the mid '70s.
Ahhh, you're right. Forgot about that.

Reason why they looked so good because of the AWESOME FORREST :censored:ING GREGG! Forrest Gregg did the uniforms like that because he was in tune with Green Bay and the Packers uniform design. Same with how Vince Lombardi did the Washington Redskins 1970-1971 design.
Only difference with the Redskins and Browns was the Redskins ditch the helmets by 1972 while the Browns kept the Green Bay Packers like design from 1975-1983 which they look AWESOME! Thanks for bringing this back in here. The Browns best years ever!Wasn't he nothing more than an assistant coach with the Browns?
Doubt he would have the power to have any say on uniforms.

Lots of double posts lately.

Perhaps he didn't catch it (he appears to be surrounded by Vikings) but this looks like a preseason game to me. I don't think either team had blank end zones as late as the '90s.
Riverfront was a blank, boring field. Not even a midfield logo.

Here's another sneaky rare one:
These unis only coincided for two years- the final two when the Rams and Falcons were NFC West rivals.
Didn't play in 2002, and the Falcons changed their unis by the time they met up in 2003 on a MNF and the 2004 NFC Divisional Playoffs.
Those Falcon road unis were my favorite uniform combo, and still remain to this day.

I love this logo.
Most blue collar sports logo ever!
Looks like the Drill Sergeant from Full Metal Jacket dressed as a pirate.

5peat?
That seems a little dopey. I understand 3peat, simply because it rhymes with repeat, but it should stop at 3.

Only time the white-pants 49ers met the Bengals (1996); by 1999, both teams made a few changes to their looks. While we're on the subject of the Bengals....
The only time these two uniform sets met in 2003.
What I wouldn't give to get either of those Bengals looks back...

I don't like the Packers uniforms.

Another one about the NFL:
I like the old Chargers jerseys better than the new ones. Something about how that lightning bolt looks on a darker background. I just think it's cool.
I also like that the lightning bolt is primarily white instead of yellow.

secondI actually LOVE these logos and look forward to rockin' them on apparel and merchandise!
There...now you can say I'm the first guy to say I like these logos here in the Unpopular Opinions post.
1- I love the new identity
2- The beloved irish rainbow uniforms would be as out of place as these guys in 2015
What ever happened to our love? I wish I understood. It used to be so nice, it used to be so good.

Oh wow. Yeah, that's ugly.

Didn't the steelers do something similar for one of their super bowl rings with the stars? I always found that strange for them.
The "stars" on the Steelers ring are astroids, which mimic their logo.
Hypocycloids
A hypocycloid with four cusps is called an astroid.

That's why this is the unpopular opinion thread.. your comments aside, I agree that the last 49ers look was light years better than the new fauxbacks.. older doesn't necessarily equal better.. I thought the dolphins last set used the drop shadow pretty well, although I like their new look as well.. one of the best uses I've seen was on North Greenville University's grey football jerseys.. they had white numbers with scarlet outline and scarlet drop shadow, which REALLY popped... this is coming from a guy who was in the pressbox, which is the worst place to try to see numbers.. either way, I'm a huge fan of the drop shadow, even when not executed perfectly
I love the Laker drop shadow
Did the arena lose electricity that night?

I believe you would be thinking of ketchup bottles...
They looked like ketchup packets in the red helmet/red jersey/red pants look. Unpopular opinion indeed! But as far as an unpopular opinion goes....
Am I the only one who loves the Chiefs in all red??
Most ketchup packets I've seen are white.
But yes on topic I like the Chiefs in all red
Nope. Most ketchup bottles I see are red. Most ketchup packets I see are white.

From 2006, the last year of the 1988 set for the Chargers, and year two for the current set for the Cardinals.
The 1988 set had pant stripes, no bolts.

Kinda weird seeing a Bengals helmet in the background.
