  1. Yeah, I don't think a D-League team would draw much of a crowd at this point. Ralston Arena is the best bet if they can share dates with the Omaha Lancers.
  2. There's quite a few new BP caps this year. Interestingly enough I just found out recently that a few teams have scrapped plans for new BP caps that I saw earlier. KC and Arizona seem to have changed their minds.
  3. They don't. I mentioned the Mariners bringing back the trident logo on their BP caps, and someone posted the Clubhouse cap as evidence of the logo and what it looks like in current colors. The Clubhouse caps have no correlation to the new BP caps.
  4. The Mariners BP cap looks great in my opinion. The trident in current colors turned out to be pretty cool, and they made the right choice with a teal bill. Other fun new BP caps include the Cubs and Braves...
  5. New BP caps are supposed to be getting to retailers this month. Be prepared for lots of retro inspired stuff! One hint: the Mariners are finally going to "tri" something I've wanted them to do for a long time...

If the Nationals can look like the Senators, then the Senators can look like the Senators!
  7. The Kansas City-Omaha Kings split time between the two cities at one point, meaning Nebraska had a professional team for a very short time.
  8. Green wanted to put a Brooklyn Nets affiliate in Ralston Arena last year. Obviously the Nets have since gotten a team, and Ralston Arena has basically fallen apart financially. Minnesota and Denver were his second choices, but obviously Minnesota is now out. Baxter Arena is probably a no-go because UN Omaha wants to have all their games uninterrupted and are only scheduling concerts outside of school events. The only chance of the D-League coming to Omaha is if Denver puts a team in Ralston Arena.
  9. This reminds me of this issue: Penguins, Blues, and Red Wings logos all have odd orientation. Pens and Blues are explained by the fact that they were recent expansion teams. Detroit, however...

I am a Jets fan, and I prefer the current jerseys. The throwback logo is garbage. That's right, I said it.
  11. His Twitter account and website are shut down so I'm guessing so. Not good.
  12. The navy triangle always made sense to me because the logo is primarily white, so it helps the crest stand out a little. That's not a good problem to have, but I always assumed that was the justification. As we know with the current set, the logo is fine on its own.
  13. At least 2001. *edit* Upon further research 2001 appears to be the first year they handed out those caps and jerseys. The New Era logo has been on the side every year. Ebbets Field Flannels produces the jerseys.
  14. They dropped the "toilet seat" collars. And added a stripe to the socks. Not enough to be considered an actual change, but it's the :censored:ing NFL...

The way that article is written seems more like the author doesn't want the jerseys to change, rather than having real information. But who knows...

I can't find the email, but I recall getting something about the Caps switching back to their retro set full time next year. Perhaps the desire to keep the retro alternate around facilitated that?
  18. I thought it would be wise to create a separate thread for next season. What we know: -Adidas is taking over the production of the on-ice jerseys. Fanatics will produce the retail jerseys. -Alternate jerseys will not be worn during the 2017/18 season. -Edmonton Oilers will promote their orange 3rd jersey to full-time home status. Rumors: -New Jersey Devils are reported to have a redesign in store. -Washington Capitals are rumored to be returning to the retro jerseys full time. *edit- also if a mod could move the posts from the 2016/17 thread to this one, that would be cool.
  19. I want to point out again that I can only confirm the new shade of purple for the caps at this point, not necessarily the rest of the uniform. It could just be something related to New Era. But it was shown in the retail guide as a change.
  20. This photo offers a good look at the new shade of purple.
  21. Love this thread. Some excellent concepts in here!
  22. Of course the NHL :censored:ed up their big anniversary. I'm so tired of this league being run so poorly.
