  1. The A's should be unveiling theirs today (I think people here are going to be happy). Off the top of my head I think there's one more alternate uniform we haven't seen. And two hats. There's also some special event stuff in the works but I'm not sure how that's going to be handled.
  2. The good thing about the Tigers change is that the D logo will finally be the right size on the caps. I've always hated how small it was.
  3. I love the visual theme established in the Dodgers anniversary logos. There are things I'd do differently but ultimately they convey the theme perfectly.
  4. Cavs vs Warriors in the Kia Hovercar NBA Finals presented by Mtn Dew for 125 years in a row is getting kind of boring.
  5. Oh there's also a special event uniform that'll be unveiled next month I believe.
  6. We'll see a few more new things before the season starts. It's been months since I've seen the retail guide but I believe there are at least two more alternate uniforms on the way and a few new hats (I seem to recall more patch hats than what we've seen so far). Some fun throwback stuff is on the way for Oakland. It's also worth noting that the new BP caps are intended to be used as alternate caps and worn during regular season games by a number of teams.
  7. This is a great point, and exactly the one I argued about years back on this site. People weren't able to differentiate between the two ideas. Nostalgia plays a significant role in our perception of good design, which creates for situations like the one we have here.
  8. I suppose my point was more about the concept of success relating to good design and how abstract that is to begin with.
  9. I don't disagree. I just think things are getting a little hypocritical. I used to argue that uniforms are either good or bad based on design alone. Many members of this board argued against me saying success while wearing a uniform was a huge factor in whether it was good or bad. It's a fascinating topic of conversation, actually.
  10. To be fair, the majority of this board is always saying teams should wear uniforms associated with success.
  11. Also utilized by the Buffalo Sabres:
  12. A unique uniform element that was sadly abandoned was the Maple Leafs socks:

Forgot the Oilers switched to navy this year, good call. My personal preference would be navy and metallic gold with a space theme.

Aeros is a fun name and a great fit for a Houston team. Unfortunately it would be difficult to establish their brand while avoiding jet imagery and double blue (Winnipeg) and star imagery and green (Dallas.) I think I want to see navy and orange but I'm not sure how everyone feels about being so similar to the Astros.

    NHL 2017-18

I think the new Oilers white jerseys are the best they've ever worn. I strongly prefer the navy.
  16. Word on the street is the Diamondbacks were planning to only wear the teal trimmed uniforms for the playoffs. So far that's true, we'll see if it remains true...
  17. The brand is called Fear of God. They're designed by the son of Jerry Manuel.
  18. Also the blue-brimmed caps being worn with the black jerseys, as you can see in the background. I believe this only happened for one season.
  19. I'm very bothered by the fact that the Lynx is not contained by the roundel like the other two logos. The little section of the ear sticking out looks bad.
  20. I spoke to my friend that does marketing for the team, he said they really wanted to do something bold and have a unique look. They felt it's the perfect time to make a big change and try something new. He also said to plan on seeing a lot of the green jerseys.
  21. Why is there a green dropshadow on the zero and not the five?
  22. Not that this has any chance of happening, but would a second team in Boston or Philadelphia ever survive?
