  1. I don't mind the Browns uniform over all. The thing that I'm hung up on is that when your logo is your helmet, it doesn't really make sense to wear a different helmet. I understand the historical accuracy of it but a graphic like the one below should match. Come up with an actual primary logo, or don't wear an alt helmet imo

That Sabres jersey was so bad that they were forced to bring back the original jersey as an alternate (with front numbers for some reason):

And they were even allowed to wear them in the 2007 playoffs for a select few (but not all) home games. Does anyone know why that is? The Canucks did the same thing that year.

Ugh, I forgot they kept the navy pants and helmet from the primaries for this look though. What a mess!

Having all three major elements (helmet, jersey, pants) a different color, without one of the being white, is a terrible idea in football.  There are very few "rules" of uniforms I would consider an absolute, but this might be one of them.

    Ghastly.

Have there been many other examples of this in the  NFL? I can only think of a few off the top of my head:

  4. During a trip to Italy in September 2019, I was wearing an Eagles shirt while hauling luggage from the train station to my Airbnb in Rome... I hear from an Italian guy walking towards me "How do you lose to Stafford?!" razzing me about the loss to the Lions that had just happened a few days prior. It was the last thing I would have expected to hear as I didn't expect my shirt to prompt any attention. We chatted football for a little bit and to my surprise, he rolled up his sleeve to show an Atlanta Falcons logo tattooed on his arm. The comment about my shirt was one thing but to meet a guy in Rome with a Falcons tattoo is something I never would have predicted.

That'd be me. What you described is why I rechristened them that going back to at least 2020 if not before. Why? Because for a good solid six or seven years that team has rewritten the book on playing up and down to competition...routinely and somehow repeatedly beating if not blowing out the top teams in the league only to then turn around and get beat if not blown out by the worst...just backwards as all get-out, hence the backwards [re]name.

    Oh and it's "Snatit". 😉

Haha wow, clearly I'm caught up in the Cardinals hysteria considering I even referenced that it's "Titans" backwards but couldn't even type it backwards properly 🤦‍♂️

Thanks for the explanation though! It's bang-on!

Yea, this is just a version of the TC logo that they’ve been using on their social media the past couple years. I don’t imagine we’ll see it integrated into the actual branding, but we’ll see. Here’s to hoping this social media branding package gets dropped along with the logos & uniforms.

My screenshot was from MLB.com though, not the Twins’  social media. I haven’t really seen any other instances where a team’s social media branding has bled into what MLB puts out. That’s what made me think it had more legs to it. I could be completely out to lunch though 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have to admit I have never noticed that word mark that they use in social media. It is probably a pretty good guess that they will go with that. It looks pretty decent.

I was just checking the Twins schedule and this is the logo they’re using on the banner at the top of the page, along with brighter  blue and red as mentioned above. I’m not sure how long they’ve been using it here but it caught my eye and may add to the hunch that this could be the logo to come.

  8. Based on my ebay experiences with mini helmets, I wouldn't be surprised if that Ravens one was a custom that someone was trying to pass off as legit. I can't tell that by the photos so it could very well be real though. It would be interesting to see the bottom of the box as the team/year/description is usually embossed onto the box or written on the barcode portion. The fact that it's not pictured adds to my suspicion.

I had a saved search for the Eagles 1933 throwback yellow and blue mini helmet for quite some time and the majority that came up were customs. I could tell because on the legit Riddell one, there were two overlapping blue decals... one for the "wing" portion and one for the stripe that extends to the back of the helmet. All the customs just had it as one decal. I recognize that this likely has nothing to do with the Ravens one but I know there are a lot of customs being passed off as legit on there.

I really wish I hadn’t noticed the swooshes on the jersey and pants not matching for no discernible reason. That’s going to drive me nuts.

The Colts have the same issue... though the black/blue difference is less noticeable than the Giants' red/blue. Either way, I feel ya! It's dumb.

  11. Are the home white pants different now too? It's very hard to tell because I can only see a tiny portion of the stripes but it looks like the grey in the striping might be white now... Unless I'm just seeing things.

Yellow from 1952 would be great. Btw there is any specific reason of why Packers don't have yellow alternate?

Yellow pants and helmet... that's enough of a reason to not have a yellow jersey for me.

Wow that's really weird seeing a two-colored Adidas logo. Of all the strange elements on that uniform, something about that just seems really bizarre to me. Has to be the one of the only times that has ever been done.

Definitely not commonplace. I recall that Washington had similar treatment as well:pixel.gif

Good morning. So that thing I said a few weeks ago? Yeah the team Bezos is buying will become public knowledge in the next ten days. No I won’t tell you how I know this so don’t even bother asking. But when it starts circulating I look forward to speculating with you all what the new uniforms will look like.

    Won’t be long now...
