  1. What I like: - Darker orange - Wider colour on sleeve What I don't like: - The contrasting nameplates are still there. Never was a fan. - The black shoulder numbers on the sleeves. Doesn't work for me. Meh: - The black jersey. It's okay but I wish it was consistent with the other two.
  2. Ugh..... I was ready to like these, but the red set ruins it. Two pant sets with stripes, one without. Two jerseys with stripes, one without. One jersey with an ugly-ass wordmark, two without. The "ARIZONA" just immediately makes me think "ATL", The white and the black are good even though I am fervently anti-BFBS. It looks better than what I was expecting, but I was expecting something awful. Starting to feel like the default mindset I get in this era of Nike.
  3. I think the Flyers best look was during the 1980 run; it was the last version of the 70s set but it had the darker orange. The panels were wide enough for the numbers. Also, normal nameplates.
  4. I didn't think it was anything special until they got rid of it. Could probably say that about a lot of defunct uniforms, actually....... some of them you don't realize you will miss until they switch to something much, much worse.
  5. That was the first time they did it - I want to say it was around 1985 or 1986 because Randy Wright was the QB. If you look closely you can see them wearing the Forrest Gregg era unis with the yellow middle stripe and green number circle on the pants. I think they did it yearly for awhile and then it fizzled out in the 90s when GB stopped playing in Milwaukee, and both teams actually got good after being pretty terrible during the 70s and 80s.
  6. Someone had Bobby Clarke in the 80s Flyer uniforms; here's one of Bill Barber
  7. Also unusual because I don't remember him ever wearing batting gloves.
  8. I'm a Husker fan, too, but I live in NYC...

  9. A couple more AFL ones. Dermott Brereton as a Swan: Nathan Buckley, the Brisbane Bear:
  10. Well I'm not native... in fact, you'll probably be disappointed, but I'm about to move to Denver. But I did spend 7 years here :)

  11. Husker fan from Australia? That mis AWESOME!! I live in Omaha. NE. It's nice to see Husker Nation goes to other countries. GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!!
