  1. Back in about 1986, I was a JV basketball player at my high school. Our coach handed out jerseys and shorts based on age and first initial of last name. As a result, I was given a pair of knee-length XL shorts (I was probably all of 5 ft 7 in and 140 pounds at the time) and was ridiculed by opposing fans - and my own teammates - because of my Jalen Rose-like shorts. In hindsight, I was a damn pioneer!
  2. I wish that the Clippers would move back to Buffalo and become the Braves again.
  3. Love that color scheme.Worst...Sonics...logo...and...color-scheme...EVER.
  4. Sorry, I didn't read all that... I was was too busy staring at the best uniform in football. Fixed that for both of you. Seeing that picture really reminds me that Detroit's uniforms look like garbage now.
  5. Notre Dame's gold-flaked bright helmets look dumb with those pants. Their old-school helmet painting look was far better...and so were the pants.
  6. This is what I was seeing in my head when I likened the Chiefs to ketchup packets.
  7. They looked like ketchup packets in the red helmet/red jersey/red pants look. Unpopular opinion indeed!
  8. I like your idea of adding green but a second orange makes that way too busy...
  9. Came across a local shop in the TC area selling throwback baseball jerseys that are fakes. These things are 100X worse in person than they look in pics on the internet. Just horrible.
  10. Seattle's logo with the blue is far better than the 2012-current version with grey.
  11. I liked that jersey as well - pair it with some neon green shoes and that's a solid alternate.
  12. Not to mention the best nickname.I wish some USFL teams had actually been able to merge with the NFL. Some absolutely gorgeous logos and uniforms in the USFL.
  13. That's wasn't bad...but I think a matte teal helmet would look great. And I'm actually coming around on the jerseys...minus that stupid "JAGS" patch? I am not a fan of shortening up team names like 'Fins, 'Skins (which is terrible), or 'Boys.
  14. I think a teal helmet would look good for the Jaguars.
  15. I like that one as well - but it would look better with "MISSOURI" on front as opposed to "MIZZOU."
  16. Unpopular opinion: something not popular or accepted by a majority. See also: previous post. Right, and Mizzou's current sets are awful. I imagine the majority of posters would argue with the contention that any of their uniforms are among the best in college football. That particular set consisted of black numbers outlined in yellow on a dark grey jersey. A broadcaster's total nightmare. Where's the helmet logo?

  18. Hilarious coincidence...literally going thru stuff in my garage this weekend and came across a picture of my cousin and I with Gaylord Perry taken at The Kingdome in the 1980's...
  19. If the Red Sox and White Sox were named today as expansion teams, the spelling of "Socks" would be ridiculed and mocked beyond belief.
  20. Wasn't there an update to the North Dakota State University Bison logo somewhere in here? I can't seem to locate it.
  21. Another unpopular opinion is my love for the Vikings with a white face mask. Wasn't that a one-season deal? I wonder why... The Vikings white masks were around for at least a few years. 1980-1984 apparently...http://www.snotbubblefootball.com/2013/04/team-logo-history-vikings.html?m=1 Check out the bit on the 1964 home game with the Lions when the Vikings wore white jerseys at home...
  22. I kind of liked Seattle's white jerseys paired with grey pants in last night's game... Another unpopular opinion is my love for the Vikings with a white face mask. Wasn't that a one-season deal? I wonder why...
  23. Unpopular opinion: the G by itself is silly since the town is Green Bay. You don't just use N for New York or L for Los Angeles.
