  1. I understand the love for the original Sonics look and why the rebrand before the move to OKC was also well liked, but I really like(d) this logo and uniform set and prefer it over any other Sonics look.

    Love that color scheme.
    Worst...Sonics...logo...and...color-scheme...EVER.

  2. Okay, this is probably a highly unpopular opinion, but whatever. This?

    Wordswordswordswordswordswordswords. Blahblahblahblahblahblahblah. Yadayadayadayadayada, etc.

Sorry, I didn't read all that... I was was too busy staring at the best uniform in football.

Fixed that for both of you. B)
Seeing that picture really reminds me that Detroit's uniforms look like garbage now.
  3. I love the Marlins' logo itself, I just would have fine-tuned the color scheme to include some green and a second shade of orange (red-orange, creamsicle).

A logo based on Miami looks wrong without any green. There's so much greenery! You have to have green.

I like your idea of adding green but a second orange makes that way too busy...
  4. Hmm... I had no idea that so many hated the Jaguars teal flakes, but if so, chalk me up as someone with an unpopular opinion.

    Beyoootiful!

    That's wasn't bad...but I think a matte teal helmet would look great.

And I'm actually coming around on the jerseys...minus that stupid "JAGS" patch? I am not a fan of shortening up team names like 'Fins, 'Skins (which is terrible), or 'Boys.

  5. One of the BETTER uniforms in college football.

Unpopular opinion: something not popular or accepted by a majority. See also: previous post.

Right, and Mizzou's current sets are awful. I imagine the majority of posters would argue with the contention that any of their uniforms are among the best in college football.

That particular set consisted of black numbers outlined in yellow on a dark grey jersey. A broadcaster's total nightmare. Where's the helmet logo?
  6. I kind of liked Seattle's white jerseys paired with grey pants in last night's game...

Sort-of related, but I also loved the way they stretched Phillip Epps' last name out on the back of his jersey.

Another unpopular opinion is my love for the Vikings with a white face mask.

    Wasn't that a one-season deal? I wonder why...

The Vikings white masks were around for at least a few years.

    1980-1984 apparently...

Check out the bit on the 1964 home game with the Lions when the Vikings wore white jerseys at home...

This is my favorite post-Lombardi Packers uniform.... only ever used in 1988.

  8. 40 years ago? I don't think you meant to tack on that extra zero. :D

Titletown: home of 13 NFL championships...2 of which have come since 1968.

Still 2 more than your Dolphins have won since 1973. And until another team three-peats... which only the Packers have ever done, and they've done it twice... those "40 year old titles" are still relevant.

Which was why I jokingly said the Dolphins shouldn't be included on a list of "professional" football teams...

1929...12 team league...no playoffs. Regular season 1st place team is named champion.

1965...14 team league...1 playoff win gets you to the championship game.

I'm not going to disparage what the Packers accomplished from 1929-1931 and 1965-1967, but you're absolutely fooling yourself if you think a three-peat has a chance of happening again in today's NFL.

Sounds like you are a big Packer fan...so were you on Brett Favre's side until Aaron Rodgers won the Super Bowl, at which time you denied ever wavering in your support of management during Favre's squabble with Ted Thompson?

Continuing on with my own unpopular opinions, being as I live in Wisconsin...saw a ball-in-glove sticker on a car yesterday. Royal blue and yellow looks so good compared to the Brewers' current bland logo.

  9. I've been a Dolphins fans since the days of David Woodley and Don Strock - but they've been lost in the woods since Dan Marino retired. I'm very familiar with the 1972 team...but, dude, save the 40+ year old "glory days" for Green Bay fans.
