  1. Old: New: I really like this update. Doesn't change the original intent of the flag but also recognizes the Indigenous Population as well. Very smooth update IMO
  2. I have to argue against this one. While the DeLorean Motor Company itself went under and John DeLorean tarnished after he was acquitted from his drug charges, the cars the original company made are engrained in the popular psyche thanks to the popularity of Back to the Future.
  3. I've seen this flag multiple times among flag comparisons and I never see the bridges/aqueducts first. I always see blue mounds or hills on a white sky. Once I focus I can see it but it's such a weird trick with this flag for me
  4. I honestly thought the duck was strumming a guitar at first glance
  5. Montpelier has aspirations to join the EU now? (I know the EU has 12 stars but it's still waaaay too similar for my taste) I too like the abstract Vermont Shape. Strange that both to them could almost work for a VT State flag. The winning design having 14 stars signifying VT as the 14th State, the runner up with the shape of the state coupled with an enlarged version of the Union from the Green Mountain Boys flag. Just make it easier and change Vermont's flag to the Green Mountain Boys flag. It's almost an unofficial symbol of the state at this point anyways.
  6. I love the second one on the top row. Something about it just screams South Carolina. Too many of these are way too similar to existing designs or projects. The aforementioned Kentucky concept, the one on the bottom is identical to the old Trust Territory of the Pacific , the third one of the third row reminds me of the failed Iraqi flag , one of them reminds me of St. Louis
  7. that font is so bad, even though I know it says "Columbus" I read it as "Columaus"
  8. Bumping this because I noticed that the mothership got the Binghamton Devils script up on the site But their twitter https://twitter.com/bdevilsahl has been using a letter-modified Devils logo I saw that the text is a placeholder but hopefully soon they will official unveil their identity
  9. I had an edit to my post that I accidentally deleted but I want to expand upon it and I think it was briefly mentioned but can we discuss Liberia's County flags please. it's like MSPaint overload here:
  10. It's really interesting how certain symbols themselves become engrained to represent "evil" or "the bad guys". When you see a swastika, you instinctively think that they're "the bad guys" because it became the norm; and even for me growing up, seeing the crossed hammer and sickle has this odd stirring inside even today that makes me think "bad guys". of course it becomes odd when there are shirts and stuff being sold at Hot Topic or Kohl's that has the old Soviet emblems all over it. (As a Boston fan, I get this same feeling with the Yankees "NY" logo but that's not for this topic) Really interesting that such simple symbols can not only have so much meaning behind them, but also be associated with such evils One thing to note, as a kid it took me forever to understand that it was supposed to be a "Red Star" above the symbol, not just a hollow gold star. the use of the red star elsewhere makes so much more sense once it clicks
  11. They included the Billy Goat. I'm dying! That's an awesome touch
  12. I only ever heard of them when they started doing random national commercials. I remember going "what the heck is an hhgregg" and now they're closing all of their stores by the end of May. and I thought working for Sports Authority was bad. oh yeah... geez where to start. they went public with their stock and then proceeded to buy planes for their Executives to fly around the country. they partnered with Champion for an exclusive apparel deal specifically focusing on 'Athleisure' rather than with a known or associated brand and spent thousands if not more on a joint brand (Champion GEAR or something). and then trying to eke out Dick's, they got the naming rights for Mile High despite being in an era where brick and mortar is slowly succumbing to online. Oh yes, and a very lackluster online selection that was run by the same company that ran Dick's online shop.
  13. a little behind since after the merger with Continental they've dumped the U and use the globe, but still effective nonetheless
  14. One thing I've been meaning to ask for years now and either forget to or just lapse of activity, how come the mothership doesn't have the NE Revolution logo without the wordmark underneath? Is that still the official primary mark or have they shifted to a more Timbers-esque wordless primary?
  15. for the life of me I never realized the cat was wearing sunglasses in this logo. I always thought it was some random raccoon-like eye shading
  16. The Worcester FCBL expansion team has posted a teaser of their new uniforms by tweeting a graphic of the cap on Thanksgiving
  17. "5 years of uncertainty, and tonight we will bring that to an end" ...all based on assumptions that the Coyotes will suddenly boost revenue "Go Arizona....Coyotes" ..............wut?
  18. if the public gets 3 minutes a piece, these asshats should only get 3 minutes too
  19. this is going to pass, and Glendale will be the laughing stock of the Big-4 after this. OITGDAZ
  20. are they really about to delete the city's opt-out clause? are they f(($ serious?
  21. They couldn't make the Raven out of Amethyst or something? And that eye doesn't look menacing as the logo portrays. What were they thinking?
