No need to gate keep the use of OSU, they're all in different parts of the country so it doesn't really matter. In the PNW, if you say OSU it's Oregon State not Oklahoma State or Ohio State.

Was gonna say this. You ask anyone out west who OSU is and it's Oregon State. It's a regional term like soda/pop/coke

yeah def not one of my favorite combos. Specially with this current uniform template.

I know it’s hard to follow the beautiful uniform that was last week… but this isn’t it..

Yellow/White/Yellow would have been a great follow up, but what do I know lol

We’re halfway through Year 6 of the current Titans set and it doesn’t seem like there’s any intention of them getting new uniforms.

I wouldn't expect them to try to fix or improve anything with Amy Adams as the owner

And for anyone arguing about other sports, NBA uses all numbers. While college still uses the 0-5, 10-15, 20-25, 30-35, 40-45, and 50-55 designation so refs can hand signal which players were called for a foul (or has that changed?)

I believe the NCAA just changed that designation this season. All numbers are now open in college.

Update on this: it’s a go. I don’t have confirmation of what year they’re throwing back to, but I’m fully expecting it to be 1994 again. I also don’t know what game they’ll be worn, but looking at the schedule I’m guessing it’ll either be Oct. 21st vs. Wazzu or Nov. 4th vs. Cal.

I feel like 1994 is just too beautiful NOT to throwback to again, HOWEVER, I'd really love to see something even more classic.....

    Because they're not the Citronauts???

Yeah, it was an older identity but changing the tradition of a mascot the university has had for over 50 years to something quirky that was used for less than 10 years is a bit extreme.

Knights might be one of the most generic team names out there. The people just want something that makes them unique from the million other HS and colleges that share the knights moniker

Nah. Michigan did that with their uniforms for a while and it was annoying.

NC State still did that as recently as 2021 too.

The idea is nice but the execution is lacking. A small patch on the back above the NOB would be a tasteful way to do it, not a gaudy giant patch on the front

How long have teams been comparing their upcoming uniform nonsense to Oregon? Has it been forever? It may as well be.

Kind of funny too given the conservative direction Oregon has taken with uniforms and uni combos the past 3-4 seasons

Again I don’t have confirmation, but from what I’ve heard I’m not totally convinced it won’t just be the ‘94/95 throwbacks again.

If pleasing the fans is the main goal then this is really the only right jersey to throw it back to. Wouldn't mind seeing an away version too...

The Ducks will be sticking with their current uniforms for one more year, but there will still be new stuff as well. Always possible that there’ll be a couple helmet tweaks like there were this year, but more likely that there’ll be a one-off uniform. If what I’ve heard is accurate, it sounds like it’ll be of the throwback variety 🤞

I like the sounds of that, but how do they top the '95 throwbacks? Dan Fouts green helmet days?

Dolphins to wear throwback uniforms Sunday vs. Buffalo – Sun Sentinel

Yes but this still terminates at the seam which is what everyone has been arguing over. My point is that there is no way to create a hoop with modern day cuts. Today's stripes are the modern recreation of the old days where jerseys had full sleeves to do so. Modern problems require modern solutions

  12. All this arguing about stripes is pointless when you don't mention the cuts of modern jerseys. You can complain all you want but this is the modern way. We will never return to the days of yore with monster shoulder pads and 4XL jerseys with borderline long sleeves.

Where exactly are you supposed to put a full sleeve stripe on a jersey like this?

This cut just ain't coming back

Does anyone know or has anyone heard or read from the players themselves why they do that? I'm sure some do it because it's trendy, but whoever started it probably had a legit reason to... 🤷🏿‍♂️

Player's reasonings are not factored into discussions here, it's all about the aesthetics 😂

When is that one dude who insults players for wearing their undershirts loose going to weigh in?
