  1. I, for one, disagree. I think a 32-team NHL would be a good idea if done right. With that said... That was from the 'if the Coyotes stay in Phoenix' scenario. And now for the 'Phoenix Coyotes move to Quebec City' scenario.
  2. Assuming the Phoenix Coyotes stay put... Pacific: Anaheim, Colorado, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Jose Northwest: Calgary, Edmonton, Minnesota, Vancouver, Winnipeg Central: Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, St. Louis Northeast: Buffalo, Boston, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto Atlantic: New Jersey, New York Islanders, New York Rangers, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh Southeast: Carolina, Florida, Nashville, Tampa Bay, Washington
  3. Here's my version: LAK - San Diego, CA ANA - Bakersfield, CA PHX - Las Vegas, NV SJS - Sacramento, CA DAL - Cedar Park, TX VAN - Abbotsford, BC EDM - Oklahoma City, OK CGY - Lethbridge, AB COL - Colorado Springs, CO MIN - Fargo, ND DET - Grand Rapids, MI STL - Kansas City, MO NSH - Memphis, TN CBJ - Cleveland, OH CHI - Rockford/Rosemont, IL TOR - Toronto, ON OTT - Binghamton, NY MTL - Hamilton, ON BOS - Providence, RI BUF - Rochester, NY PHI - Trenton/Atlantic City, NJ PIT - Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA NJD - Albany, NY NYR - Hartford, CT NYI - Bridgeport, CT WSH - Norfolk, VA TBL - Jacksonville, FL MIA - Orlando, FL CAR - Charlotte, NC WPG - St. John's, NL
  4. Seperating the Cardinals and Cubs is kind of a no-no. And Memphis a little further down on the expansion list. Oh I know, with the Cards being smack dab in the middle of the country, they were honestly the last team I placed into a division. It was all just for kicks anyway. It was either Memphis or Carolina for expansion, like I said, all in fun I'd put the Reds in the NL South and have Charlotte and Portland as expansion teams.
  5. My version of CJWorks' UFL realignment: WESTERN CONFERENCE Northern Dakota Rhinos Minnesota Bruins Montana Grizzlies Portland Huskies Mountain Arizona (Tucson) Cobras Denver Avengers Las Vegas Crows Phoenix Skyhawks Pacific Los Angeles Aztecs San Diego Wildcats San Francisco Bobcats San Jose Outlaws Southwest Austin Lonestars Dallas Talons Houston Longhorns San Antonio Desperados EASTERN CONFERENCE Mideast Cincinnati Vultures Cleveland Bandits Motor City Mustangs Washington-Baltimore Knights Atlantic Asheville Mountaineers Charlotte Prowlers New York Emperors New York Lightning Central Chicago Dragons Racine Rage St. Louis Rivermen Topeka Indians Southeast Florida (Tampa Bay) Sharks Miami Pirates New Orleans Claws Tennessee (Nashville) Hornets
  6. This would be my realignment idea for the 2012-13 NHL season EASTERN (PRINCE OF WALES) CONFERENCE Atlantic (Patrick) Division Carolina Hurricanes Florida Panthers New Jersey Devils New York Islanders New York Rangers Philadelphia Flyers Tampa Bay Lightning Washington Capitals Northeast (Adams) Division Boston Bruins Buffalo Sabres Columbus Blue Jackets OR Detroit Red Wings Montreal Canadiens Ottawa Senators Pittsburgh Penguins Toronto Maple Leafs WESTERN (CLARENCE CAMPBELL) CONFERENCE Central (Norris) Division Chicago Blackhawks Columbus Blue Jackets OR Detroit Red Wings Dallas Stars Minnesota Wild Nashville Predators St. Louis Blues Winnipeg Jets Pacific (Smythe) Division Anaheim Ducks Calgary Flames Colorado Avalanche Edmonton Oilers Los Angeles Kings Phoenix Coyotes San Jose Sharks Vancouver Canucks
  7. My 32 team MLB proposal would go like this: AMERICAN LEAGUE East Baltimore Orioles Boston Red Sox New York Yankees Toronto Blue Jays North Chicago White Sox Cleveland Indians Detroit Tigers Minnesota Twins South Charlotte expansion team Kansas City Royals Tampa Bay Rays Texas Rangers West Los Angeles Angels Oakland A's Portland Beavers (expansion team -- about time the Rose City gets a Major League ballclub) Seattle Mariners NATIONAL LEAGUE East New York Mets Philadelphia Phillies Pittsburgh Pirates Washington Nationals North Chicago Cubs Colorado Rockies Milwaukee Brewers St. Louis Cardinals South Atlanta Braves Cincinnati Reds Houston Astros Miami Marlins West Arizona Diamondbacks Los Angeles Dodgers San Diego Padres San Francisco Giants I also propose expanding the postseason to 12 teams (6 teams -- 4 division champions and 2 wild cards -- in each league).
  8. If the Thrashers DO INDEED move to Winnipeg and get rebranded as the Winnipeg "insert-new-team-nickname here" (most likely the Falcons in honor of the amateur hockey team that won gold in the 1920 Winter Olympics), it will most likely be the Nashville Predators that'll move to the Eastern Conference and fill the spot of the Thrashers in the Southeast Division. That could mean the AHL team currently occupying Winnipeg (the Manitoba Moose) could move to St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. So with that said... EASTERN CONFERENCE Atlantic New Jersey Devils New York Islanders (if they last long in Long Island) New York Rangers Philadelphia Flyers Pittsburgh Penguins Northeast Boston Bruins Buffalo Sabres Montreal Canadiens Ottawa Senators Toronto Maple Leafs Southeast Carolina Hurricanes Florida Panthers Nashville Predators (moved from Western Conference Central Division) Tampa Bay Lightning Washington Capitals WESTERN CONFERENCE Central Chicago Blackhawks Columbus Blue Jackets Dallas Stars (moved from Pacific Division) Detroit Red Wings St. Louis Blues Northwest Calgary Flames Edmonton Oilers Minnesota Wild Vancouver Canucks Winnipeg Falcons (moved from Eastern Conference Southeast Division due to move from Atlanta) Pacific Anaheim Ducks Colorado Avalanche (moved from Northwest Division) Los Angeles Kings Phoenix Coyotes San Jose Sharks
  9. So how's your UFL project so far?

  10. Cincinnati Reds in the American League with Cleveland Indians (their in-state rival) and the Boston Red Sox? An absolute "no-no".
  11. Nice... except I would keep Arizona in the NL West, move Colorado to the NL North, and Cincinnati to the NL South, while expanding to Charlotte (AL South) and Portland (AL West). It's pretty similar to my main plan I usually do, except there's no way Ndw Orleans or Nashville get a team. NOLA is in danger of losing their basket all team as it is and Nashville won't build a stadium for their triple-a team or any other level. I usually do Portland and either San Antonio or Cbarlotte, but usually move Colorado to the AL something with KC, Texas and usually the San Antonio franchise. You gotta keep the Cards, Cubs, Reds and Brewers together. Oddly, I put the Reds in the NL South since the city of Cincinnati, Ohio, although technically a "Midwestern" U.S. city, is part of the "Upland South" subregion, which is in contrast to the "Deep South" subregion. Just my opinion anyway.
  12. Nice... except I would keep Arizona in the NL West, move Colorado to the NL North, and Cincinnati to the NL South, while expanding to Charlotte (AL South) and Portland (AL West).

  14. Besides, the NBA has their own D-League, so if and when the NBADL (NBA Development League) expands to 30 teams, this is what it would look like: EASTERN CONFERENCE Atlantic Bridgeport, Conn. 15. Fixed for ya. But I'd still go with my original idea. Just saying.

  17. Without commenting on the uniforms, which I'm just going to assume have no bearing and are just there to illustrate the team itself, why so many conference switches? Why are the Jets and Giants in the same division now? The only way these amount of switches would occur is if they went to an Eastern/Western geographical conferences... but that's not what you did. It's like you just switched teams for the hell of it. This realignment idea... just plain TRBL (Turrible)!
  18. NFL Minor League (NFL affiliate in parentheses) Liberty Conference (AFC) East Syracuse, N.Y. (Buffalo Bills) Palm Beach, Fla. (Miami Dolphins) Hartford, Conn. 19. Well then... if "the admiral" is throwing down a 32-team MLB expansion challenge, I might as well join in. MLB Expansion Teams: Charlotte, NC (American League) & Portland, OR (American League) AAA International League Expansion Teams: Ottawa, ON & Hartford, CT (additionally the Charlotte Knights would move to Orlando, FL) AA Texas League Expansion Teams: Rio Grande Valley, TX & Wichita, KS A-Advanced Carolina League Expansion Teams: Fayetteville, NC & Columbia, SC A South Alantic League Expansion Teams: Macon, GA & Anderson, SC Short Season A Nothwest League Expansion Teams: Bellingham, WA & Bend, OR Rookie-Advanced Pioneer League Expansion Teams: Lethbridge, AB, Canada & Pocatello, ID
  20. I figured that a East/West format wouldn't be a good idea in the NFL. Oh, well, anyway... I give you the NFL, had the Colts, Cardinals, Rams, and Oilers not moved to Indianapolis, Phoenix, St. Louis, and Nashville respectively. (More like a "what if" than a realignment, but then again... just a thought) AFC East Baltimore Colts Buffalo Bills New England Patriots New York Jets North Cincinnati Bengals Cleveland Browns Indianapolis Knights (expansion) Pittsburgh Steelers South Carolina Panthers (expansion) Houston Oilers Jacksonville Jaguars (expansion) Miami Dolphins West Denver Broncos Kansas City Chiefs Oakland Raiders San Diego Chargers NFC East New York Giants Philadelphia Eagles St. Louis Cardinals Washington Redskins North Chicago Bears Detroit Lions Green Bay Packers Minnesota Vikings South Atlanta Falcons Dallas Cowboys New Orleans Saints Tampa Bay Buccaneers West Arizona Scorpions (expansion) Los Angeles Rams San Francisco 49ers Seattle Seahawks
  21. What if the NFL did the whole East-West thing? EASTERN FOOTBALL CONFERENCE (EFC) Northeast New England Patriots New York Jets New York Giants Philadelphia Eagles Atlantic Baltimore Ravens Carolina Panthers Pittsburgh Steelers Washington Redskins Central Buffalo Bills Cleveland Browns Cincinnati Bengals Indianapolis Colts Southeast Atlanta Falcons Jacksonville Jaguars Miami Dolphins Tampa Bay Buccaneers WESTERN FOOTBALL CONFERENCE (WFC) North Chicago Bears Detroit Lions Green Bay Packers Minnesota Vikings Midwest Denver Broncos Kansas City Chiefs St. Louis Rams Tennessee Titans Southwest Arizona Cardinals Dallas Cowboys Houston Texans New Orleans Saints Pacific Oakland Raiders San Diego Chargers San Francisco 49ers Seattle Seahawks
  22. Had the USFL and/or the XFL merged with the NFL, this is what the NFL would look like: AMERICAN FOOTBALL CONFERENCE EAST Baltimore Ravens (formerly Philadelphia/Baltimore Stars) Buffalo Bills Miami Dolphins New England Patriots New York Jets NORTH Chicago Enforcers Cincinnati Bengals Cleveland Browns Indianapolis Colts Pittsburgh Steelers SOUTH Birmingham Stallions Houston Texans Jacksonville Bulls Oklahoma City Bandits (moved from Tampa Bay) Tennessee Titans WEST Denver Broncos Kansas City Chiefs Las Vegas Gamblers (merged with Houston Gamblers and later merged with XFL's Las Vegas Outlaws) Oakland Raiders San Diego Chargers NATIONAL FOOTBALL CONFERENCE EAST Dallas Cowboys New York Giants Orlando Renegades Philadelphia Eagles Washington Redskins NORTH Chicago Bears Columbus Generals (moved from New Jersey) Detroit Lions Green Bay Packers Minnesota Vikings SOUTH Atlanta Falcons Carolina Panthers Memphis Showboats New Orleans Saints Tampa Bay Buccaneers WEST Arizona Cardinals Los Angeles Express St. Louis Rams San Francisco 49ers Seattle Seahawks
  23. I hear what you're saying on the Brewers, Cubs, and Cardinals being in the same division, admiral. With that said... AMERICAN LEAGUE East Baltimore Orioles Boston Red Sox New York Yankees Toronto Blue Jays North Chicago White Sox Cleveland Indians Detroit Tigers Minnesota Twins South Charlotte MLB expansion team Kansas City Royals Tampa Bay Rays Texas Rangers West Los Angeles Angels Oakland A's Portland MLB expansion team Seattle Mariners NATIONAL LEAGUE East New York Mets Philadelphia Phillies Pittsburgh Pirates Washington Nationals North Chicago Cubs Colorado Rockies Milwaukee Brewers St. Louis Cardinals South Atlanta Braves Cincinnati Reds Florida Marlins Houston Astros West Arizona Diamondbacks Los Angeles Dodgers San Diego Padres San Francisco Giants (NOTE: might be strange to see the Kansas City Royals in the AL South, the Cincinnati Reds in the NL South, and the Colorado Rockies in the NL North, but this alignment might work)
