In fairness they said throughout the process that the 4th uniform will be a little crazier and the 3 main uniforms will be more traditional with the alternative being "bull like"-presumably horns on the helmet. I'm gonna wait and see the whole set before forming a full opinion but I dont 100% love the new alt H mark. I was relieved when I saw the aways however, was honestly expecting way worse. Also side note, but if you look on the crown of the helmet in the video, near the top left of the decal, there appears to be some red metallic flake in the finish. Could be a cool little detail.

The home partially blurrily leaked earlier this week and was confirmed with a navy helmet. BUT, according to a story they put out yesterday they can indeed mix and match the core helmets with the core uniforms. But Color rush helmet can only be mixed with color rush (and possibly the alt, ill have to reread it).

That's my understanding. However this appears to be the same navy base shell, so I wonder if white (or light blue) is still in play. I know Buffalo switched out their facemasks a few years back.

LEAK:

Solid leak from the Lions. I don't mind the perforated numbers, my only issue is that they were "inspired" by the stadium exterior for the Cardinals. I hope there isn't a story for the Lions and Texans using perforated numbers. I'd rather that element just go unspoken tbh.

Again, I'm not arguing that the Rockets logo is great, just that the thunder logo is worse. I'm not even saying most of your points aren't valid. The Rockets logo uses the Rockets font that is on all of their core uniforms. The Thunder uses two different typefaces, one of which was lifted straight from the Steve Nash era Suns uniforms and didn't appear on any uniform until this season's City. The Thunder logo just has way too much going on for a logo that literally means nothing. Good craftsmanship or not.

No, I read that, but I can't find an actual visual example of that. Is there a document or something with type that resembles this new Phillies word mark?

Can somebody who's more well versed with Philly/US History explain the typeface? Is it supposed to look like ripped paper?

The Rockets logo isn't perfect by any means, but you can at least read the full team name which should be one base line for global marks, and you can see some semblance of an abstract planet/ring/space tie in. I couldn't describe the Thunder OKC logo if I had to. When it initially leaked I thought it was an abstract fish. But it's also not generic enough to work like a Brooklyn Nets type logo.

This might become a chicken or egg question...but the no white bottoms were a direct result from the color rush initiative. Was color rush a Nike or an NFL idea?

First official look at the new "H-Town Blue".

I've heard the same about the H-Town Blue. I know their VP mentioned that the light blue color has a history in Houston outside of football/oilers, so I'm curious which route they decide to go with the story. He specifically mentioned the old police cars and the street tiles.

But it's a rebrand (or refresh if we're being more accurate) so they could switch to purple and green in theory and there would be no rule against that, would there?

Chargers have 2 different blue alternate sets that aren't on the primary uniform or primary logo. Also I would guess like someone mentioned its a shade of light blue but not the same shade as the oilers.

Oxford blue! As a non Oregonian, that carpet is seemingly iconic, and I've definitely known about that carpet for years. I wanna say Dame had shoes that had some carpet elements too..?

Did we ever get a backstory to the maroon and orange? This one actually sounded like it had legitimate sources. Was it just an initial option that ended up not making the final cut? I'm still very curious about that whole debacle.

Honestly I mean almost generally speaking a colored facemask doesn't look good on a dark/black helmet. I think these would both look better with black facemasks.

Everyone here has valid thoughts re: TV numbers, but also sometimes you gotta know when it's time for them to go. No one's reading these numbers from row 53.

I feel like I'm going crazy, but I hate red facemasks on dark helmets. It gives generic high school vibes. It always looks worse than a solid dark colored helmet to me.

You can see in the reflection that the horn stops at the sleeve cap - thankfully. It looks to be a truncated stripe with the Texans logo in the gap.

I'd prefer some color on the socks, but I agree - if you're gonna do solid socks, this style of color blocking is the way to do it, with some thicc boi pants stripes no less. I hope they stick to it, last year they did a lotttt of all white from the waist down and all navy from the waist down with no white sock bottoms. (not holding my breath but a return to white bottoms for the texans would be awesome.)

From what's been gathered a red helmet is still strongly in the mix. Whether red will be the primary helmet/jersey choice is yet to be seen - but I think a lot of the fan base is hoping for that. As someone who thought the last set was near perfect, these arent bad so far. I was expecting a lot worse - and they still feel like an evolution of the old set instead of a complete overhaul. The absence of chrome so far is a good sign.

I'm pretty sure it's the interior of a building called Post HTX which has one of the best rooftop skyline views of the city.
