  1. Who knows. Though the Lions are changing Uniforms next year. Perhaps having the throwbacks being the Barry Sanders Era Unis, and a Black alternate. John
  2. To what might have been. Well, there is always next year. And by adding better personnel by Free agency or the Draft Maybe? John A long-suffering Lions Fan!
  3. There is an interesting read on ESPN about the field, And if the NFL will get it right, as the Field tray is based off of State Farm Stadiums tray in Arizona (Also the site of the SB field debacle last year). John
  4. Here is hoping the NFL ground's crew learned from last year's debacle. And get the sod put in correctly! As Allegient Stadium uses a similar field tray, as the one at State Farm Stadium!
  5. I Agree. It would have looked better, if they painted the endzones just like teams actual endzones. With just the CFP logos in the center of the field. John
  6. That would explain the issues with the weak sod. And painting the entire field the night before, showed a lot of the defects in the sod.
  7. Man, I would love to see the Lions make the Super Bowl! The only "Original Team" not to play in the Super Bowl (Now some may argue the Cleveland Browns, but this was an expansion team to replace the team that became the Baltmore Ravens. Who ironicly have won a Super Bowl.) And there is a uniform change in the works for Detroit, and possibly a wordmark update as well.
  8. Gve it some time! Most of the Artists are quite busy with The Gridiron Sumulation League. Which is in Week 2 of the 16 game season!
  9. I was working the game (Though not inside State Fram Stadium, I was running the "Ingress" ticket scanning lines for the east gates). The actual turf performed well and held up as a surface.. The main problem was moisture. The field was completly repainted the night before, and being a "Domed Stadium" even with the roof open. misture built up with in the stadium . There was no way to get the field enough "outside " air flow to get the paint completley moisture free. And any surface natural grass or artificai turf. Moisture is a problem . Also painting the field twice is also a problem. I think normal paintng as done with Regular season games shou;d be done, 48 hours before the game, Let the grass completly take root before painting it they had 2 1/2 weeks, and really great weather here. The standard Cardnials game field looked far better and so did the Fiesta Bowl.
  10. Not as far as I can tell. I assume it has, but nothing on the Official State Farm Stadium twitter, or any of the local Phoenix area news feeds yet, either. John
  11. Sorry for not being araound. Been reall busy at the Home Depot Online Contact Center, I will be volunteering for SB LVII and possibly the stadium. I am suscribed to the State Farm Stadium accout, so I hope to have confirmation as the actulal field was installed early last week so it will have 3 weeks to firm up and be ready for the game
  12. Yep I am still around! Been super busy with the Gridiron Uniform Simulation League. Got a couple of projects updating the USFL Database, and Now the New CFL database!
  13. Updated Fields for Michigan and Boston. New Orleans (Working on Portland) Michigan Panthers 1983 Michigan Panthers 1984 Boston Breakers 1983 New Orleans Breakers 1984
  14. As per custom. The field will be painted one more time before Supekr Bowl Sunday. That will make the field look Bright.
  15. Welcome to the fun! And yes this has been fun. (though a lot of work).
  16. Yea, I noticed that too. not numch of a problem on most fields, except the fieldturf cut in ones. But If I remeber correclty those stadiumns added those in after the surfaces were done. I will have to look.
  17. Hey Austin. How are things going. I was working on the USFL fields, and getting the respective dates correct. When I found the GSL thread. I neved played in a Sim League, and not sure I could with my current schedule. But I came up with a concept. The Arizona Sol (Hey we have the Phoenix Suns, why not a "Play" on the word "Sun" LOL). I came up with a sort concept, wondered if it is OK to put it on the GSL Concept Thread.

  24. Yep, not sure if they are putting the team name in the end zones. But they had "Arizona" in both yesterday. nd no red striping on the 20's either.
  25. Austin. I saw some pics from the Cardinals. The next few weeks they are replacing the Cardinal logo for an NFL shield. Took the red striping off the 20 yard line. And Put"Arizona in both end zonees. Due to sharing State Farm Stadium with the Niner's
