Players in the "wrong" uniforms
raysox replied to larrypep's topic in Sports Logo General Discussion
I came to the realization about a year ago that Bo and Michael Jordan were one year away from being on the same spring training team. Bo left to the Angels for 94, the year Jordan began playing baseball again -
That was one of the last ones, but the most recent and overall last one was Padres at Blue Jays last year

That bottom left one is nice. I love that actual designers are coming out to make flag change proposals. I saw one for Tampa, which would be an instant upgrade.

Upgrade, but boy that's rough

Michael Raisch of Raisch Studios got into a twitter thread with me when i mentioned I thought the Rays logo looked like a stingray(which he said it's not supposed to) but he shared these concepts of the final burst logo https://twitter.com/RaischStudios

Players in the "wrong" uniforms

Came across this from 2007 when the Rays played in Orlando. When I think Richard Petty, I normally picture him in the current Rays uniform -

I remember on MLB 2K8, which came out spring of 2008, had Tropicana Field still having the leaves pattern on the outfield wall, and the current logos on green instead of navy on the ESPN scorebugs and stuff.

Minor/Independent/Collegiate League Baseball Logo/Uniform Changes

Plus, these are the tickets -
A few months back, I took on the huge task of realiging college football conferences because I hate when teams play in multiple conferences across several sports. I merged FBS and FCS just to make it easier. Most of them stayed the same, but there were 4 that I really liked. So there are several basketball conferences where a handfull of teams play football elsewhere. So what I did was combine some conferences in a joint conference based on geography. All my conference couldn't fill an 8 team league by themselves, but could with the addition of another conference Big East/Atlantic 10 Richmond, Rhode Island, Fordham, Duquesne, Dayton, Davidson, Butler, Georgetown Colonial Athletic Association/America East Delaware, Elon, James Madison, Towson, William & Mary, New Hampshire, Maine, Stony Brook, Albany North East Conference/Metro Atlantic Sacred Heart, Wagner, Bryant, Saint Francis, Central Connecticut, Robert Morris, Marist, Monmouth Atlantic Sun/Big South Jacksonville, Stetson, Kennesaw, Charleston, Gardner Webb, Liberty, Presbyterian, Campbell The joint conferences wouldn't affect much. It would help conference solidify their line ups, and make alliances with other conferences.

Dunno if I'll ever get around to doing this, but an alternate timeline where these NFL teams from 1929 still exist Dayton Triangles Frankford Yellow Jackets Boston Bulldogs (Pottsville Maroons from 1920-28 would be better) Staten Island Stapletons Orange Tornadoes Providence Steam Roller Buffalo Bisons Minneapolis Red Jackets

I've been on a lot lately, so I can finally say that I like the upgrade. My only issue is there's no "Remove Formattinng" button above posts. I typically post post concepts to my blogspot, then copy the plain text and host images there. But the times new roman sticks out and "paste as plain text" option when you right click doesn't work. -

Weird they didn't go, you know, Roman with that one -
My roommate and I play a lot of NCAA 10 and I noticed when he was playing as Tulane at The Big House, the Tulane section was like the most basic blue. It wasn't the light blue Tulane uses, but the RGB would be 0,0,255.

So in this thread, someone mentioned that there was never a World Series featuring two franchises not from the 1903 season. This year just changed that. Mets-Royals is your first expansion team Fall Classic.

Oldschoolviking's college football concepts - Golden Gophers added

Pretty good so far! Couple things I'd change is the Ohio State shoulder numbers and yellow pants on michigan -
Lacrosse World Cup. The Lacrosse World Championship seems like a mess with tiers, but a 16 team tournament would be cool. Put it in 4 stadiums instead one one central location. Only one catch, the Iroquois Nation is the host

In 5th or 6th grade, my dad got me an electric football table. I spent more time painting NFL teams onto blank players than I did actually playing. Still have the table and players somewhere

Southern Hemisphere hockey nations, so Chile, Argentina, Australia, and New Zealand are about the only countries that line up with the same latitudes as the USA

Nah, I almost used a collared version of my soccer template to do a quick golf series. Basically, 16 countries made of teams of 2 compete. 2 days of rounds, then the top 4 move on to a match play elimination tournament on Saturday and Sunday.

Dylan was supposed to finish and post his 5 super10 teams and never did

Yeah your Tim Horton's league was great, I'd love to see a deeper concept from that
