  1. Actually, it's nothing like that. Nothing at all. To me, it's a lot like that. It's bothering someone because they bought a cheaper product that still gets the job done. As in, "I overpaid, so everyone else should too. And if anyone finds a way to get a similar product for less money, then I'm going to be jealous." Wouldn't it be more like the Lexus owner being peeved at the Toyota owner who threw Lexus emblems on his car?
  2. Even if I had no idea what the jerseys are supposed to look like, these sites would just not get through my BS detector. Feel like a professional Rams team player by wearing Sam Bradford Jersey Outstanding quality make you comfortable when wearing Sam Bradford Rams Jersey; V-neck and colorful lines on the sleeve keep up with the sports trend; Competitive prices on our website will save you much. More items you buy, more discount you'll get; Yep those sentences scream legit.
  3. Uh didn't the Canucks just decide to not re-sign him? He didn't go run to anywhere.
  4. Why is an American League pitcher holding a bat? It appears to be a fungo. Looks like a long barrel, and it's taped - pretty high in fact. Still weird.
  5. The Oilers replaced all their old banners with new ones 5 years ago (don't worry, they didn't change them, they're just made of a material that doesn't break down and lose its colour over time), and they auctioned off all the old ones for charity.
  6. Who cares? It's a thread on an internet message board. It really doesn't need guidelines that will restrict it to naming 5 more players and then hitting the graveyard.
  7. Well since that's a pre-edge jersey, technically, it's wrong regardless of legend status or time.
  8. I'll probably feel dumb after this, but who's the 2nd one?
  9. Where do you find some of these gems? Only place I know to find jerseys other than new ones is eBay, and anything I deem cool is out of my price range.
  10. They should put up a banner, but recognizing it any kind of ceremony wouldn't be right.
  11. The Seattle and Vancouver photos reminded me I have theirs as well... The Vancouver one is from September 2007, I was at game 8 of the Super Series, so this is not how the banners look now, as they were updated to match the photo posted earlier. I kind of wish the Canucks would have stuck with the logo or style of the team at the time they achieved their banners, instead of updating them all to match the current look. Just like I wish the Oilers 05-06 Western Conference Champion banner would have been copper instead of orange, or if they managed to win the Presidents trophy it would be midnight blue/navy instead of royal blue/blue. Also, an unnecessary fact, but in 2005 the Oilers had all of their banners remade as exact duplicates of the originals, as many were faded (blue was becoming purple) and even a bit tattered. They used the originals in charity auctions - and got a pretty penny for them. The new ones are coated in special... whatever stuff that prevents any fade in color.
  12. Best photos for the Oilers and Rexall Place that I could find online. The first two are from before the end of the 2006-07 season. Since then, additions have been a banner for Mark Messier, the WHLs Edmonton Oil Kings' 1963 and 1966 Memorial Cup banners, and for some stupid reason which really bugs me, a banner celebrating 100 straight sellouts. The 3rd one is from opening night this past year. The last one is just a cool 80-hour time lapse photo I found going from the rodeo to an Oil Kings game. During the playoffs, they bust out 5 more banners, each one of them being a photo from a Stanley Cup win celebration. Oh so close to being 6
  13. Edmonton Oilers... raised here, inherited from my father. Oakland Athletics... the first time I played on a competitive baseball team around 9, we were the A's so I started to follow the MLB team, and they stuck with me. Also at the time, their AAA team was located here. Edmonton Eskimos... raised here, inherited, but I don't live or die with them. Cleveland Browns... as someone without a home team but who often watched the NFL anyways and had a handful of teams I rooted for, I finally decided to play elimination and choose one. If I have to pick an NBA team, the Raptors, but I don't really care beyond turning on Sportscentre and saying "oh good, the Raptors won"
