  1. Hi everyone! I have designed what I think is a pretty swell logo for the SFMTA! If you are a SF local, visit sometimes, or are just a fan of the logo and would love to see this vibrant, meaningful, and fun design as a representation of the city take a few seconds to go to this page, easily sign in using the facebook "connect" button in the upper right corner and then vote on my design! Then when you find yourself in San Francisco at a bus stop next to an attractive person you can say "Oh hey I know the guy that designed that logo." Boom. Instant conversation starter. Everyone wins. http://www.improvesf.com/become-part-of-san-francisco-history/connect.
  2. T-Macs logo...I wonder what the point is when you decide you are rich/famous/good enough to have your own logo?
  3. I think this has changed somewhat with sports apparel becoming so mainstream (hip-hop artists wearing throwback jerseys, etc.). I think it is more acceptable to wear another team's hat/jersey because of this trend over recent years. Personally, I usually just say "Oh no I just really like the way the hat looks." People don't seem to mind. It might kill the whole "Oh you are a ______ fan!?" conversation though..haha.
  4. haha yeah we directly stole that one. It was only used by the football team, and not any other athletic teams.
  5. It is the work of Jim Ward, who does quite a bit of collegiate branding. http://www.idologos.com/ I agree that the swoosh looks tacked on. I guess they just wanted some way to tie together the L&C and the dog. As far as the back-story is concerned, the Newfoundland was on the Lewis & Clark expedition. Why they couldn't use a frontiersmen, or pioneer (seeing as we are the Pioneers) still beats me, but as far as the design goes I think it is a step in the right direction for an athletic program whose football team hasn't won a game in four years!
  6. Thought I would share my school's new logos with you: http://www.lclark.edu/%7esports/MISC/altlogos.htm It's better than no real graphic identity, which is what we had before, but I'm not the biggest fan. I do like the paw secondary logo though. The L&C logo was already in place, and now they added the Newfounland.
  7. I don't see why companies even buy the rights to the names of stadiums. How does it benefit them? It's not like people are going to change their phone service or the bank they go to or the type of juice they drink just because the name of their favorite team's stadium.

    Blue Jays Logo

I'm not sure whether you are just trying to incorporate the T in the scheme of the blue jay or if you meant for it to stand out separately. But if you have to tell us to notice the T then it is probably too hard to recognize.
  9. I'm sorry, but I don't think black and blue ever look good together. I'm not much of a basketball person, but if you look at the worst uniforms in baseball this stands true. The Mets are just one team that tries to use black and blue together with ugly results. I just don't think black and blue ever mix well.
  10. Whenever I copy and paste an image into MS Paint and then make it smaller it always messes up the image. Am I doing something wrong?
  11. Exactly. However, is the point of the project to make all BP jerseys have a generic underarm/arm color insert, or is that just an oversight? What do you mean? Leave the arm color inserts the same color as the rest of the jersey on some? Hes saying your just taking the exact same template and recoluring it for every team. Mind you I see youre mixing it up with the wordmarks, logos, hats etc, etc, but it needs more variation, its all the exact same! Well yeah..of course I used the same template for every team..why would I do any different? Every team uses the same type of jersey for their BP.

  13. The concept overall is okay but I don't know about the "M" as the logo on the chest. When I think Mets I don't think of the "M." It's like making a Cardinals alt with a "C" in their script as the logo on the jersey. The "M" just isn't a part of their identity. They don't use it anywhere else so I don't think they would use it on a jersey.
  14. pipe what? that is all the piping BP jerseys have
