  1. Good lord, that home uniform 😍

I wish the road pants had stripes (or just pair that jersey with the silver ones. We don't need blue ones), and I'm not a fan of the big wordmarks on jerseys. But I can live with the road set.

The black jersey on its own is ehhhh ok, I guess. It's better than the old gray one, although that's not saying much.

  2. Not a fan of the black jersey, but the home and away look really solid. I wish they'd updated the wordmark (or honesty just didn't put it on the jersey at all), but that's a minor annoyance. Hopefully the pants have matching stripes, but it looks like I'll be buying a new jersey this year.

  3. I got really worried when I saw the Lions one on its own, and it had a black primary logo. I'm a little less worried now that I see every team has a graphite version.

    (I'm still terrified)

Edit: Dang it. The Lions have both a graphite AND a black hat, although the black hat at least has a blue logo. But I've got the feeling a black alt uniform is on the way 😭

Did anyone catch this in real time?  Didn't even cross my mind.  Bowles' justification is the equivalent of "I'm hearing this for the first time".

I thought the same thing watching the game. Someone on reddit (obviously not the most reliable source 😄) mentioned basically a "gentleman's agreement" that Bowles just kinda conceded that the game was over, but I find that hard to believe that he wouldn't use that timeout in a chance to go to the NFC Championship. It was really,  really strange. But I also really don't think the Lions would have taken that knee early by accident (despite our franchise's history of losing games in the most stupid ways possible). While Campbell can be aggressive and reckless, I don't think he's a dumb guy, and I think Goff is enough of a veteran to understand the clock. Either way, I was yelling at the TV because that's exactly how the Lions would lose.

A few months back there was a guy that escaped from prison around here and was armed and dangerous.  But he was a shorter individual.  Once apprehended, after a multi-week manhunt, he was returned to prison and there was a big press conference with a Lt. Colonel of the State Police, and governor.

One of the reporters* asked the police chief if, since he was shorter, they were ever afraid that he'd partner up with another short man and walk around in a trench coat "lil rascals style".  The Lt. simply said "no".

*turns out it was some guy who's dog got loose and he followed the dog into what turned out to be the press conference, so he stayed and posed as a reporter.  That may be the dumbest question ever asked (had it been legit.)

I laughed out loud when I was watching the presser for Cavalcante and heard that question. It was fantastic.

Side note: I've already forgotten about that, even though he was like 15 minutes from my house and literally in my brother's neighborhood at one point, and I was absolutely glued to the live streams when it seemed like they were about to get him.

Congrats to the Lions. I can't even imagine how Lions fans are feeling right now.

    Kinda like this

I'm ecstatic to finally have that win past us, but admittedly not feeling super confident moving forward. The "bend, don't break" defense is stressful to watch, and the offense seems to go completely flat at times, as demonstrated yesterday in the 2nd half. Missing tackles and giving up 3rd and longs can't continue to win football games, although I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

That said, from the beginning of the season, I felt like this should be a good "step forward" season, so winning the division and a home playoff game definitely feels like a success. Looking forward to the rest of the playoffs and the future for once.

Rams vs Lions with Stafford vs Goff. Wonder how many fans in the crowd will have Stafford jerseys in the stands

My most current Lions jerseys are both Stafford, partially because I'm [cautiously] awaiting the new uniforms next season to get a new one. I'm not going, but if I was going to the game this weekend I guess I'd just have to bust out the ol' Charlie Batch jersey (or more than likely just wear a Lions hoody) to avoid wearing Stafford gear.

Not too bad looking of a Winter Classic

I wish Vegas had some gray striping on the jersey and maybe even gloves to match. The socks having an abundance of gray and gray pants make the jersey look a little disjointed. But all in all, a pretty solid looking game. Seattle's jersey is gorgeous.

If we learned anything from the Zack Greinke signing, it's that the Dodgers signing a free agent away from the Angels will make Arte go panic mode and ridiculously overpay for a bust.

Who's the 2024 equivalent of washed up Vernon Wells?

Lions would have looked awesome with white jersey and blue pants. Shame.

This is the best option if they have to wear the blue helmet. The uniforms tonight are atrocious. There's a part of me that thinks the gray jersey is dark enough to work with white pants, but I'm not sure. Not saying it should be worn at all, but the mono-gray is terrible.
