Why did Modell have to leave the team name and colors behind but Bud Adams didn't?

No surprise. This was inevitable once they surrendered to the New Era logo and then the Nike logo.

From August:
The Giants will don their primary blue jerseys with white pants for all other home games and when they travel to Dallas for a Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Cowboys on November 24.

Thanksgiving helmet. I consider it a small miracle that they finally got the throwback color right.

Cowboys might once again be in navy jerseys next week on the road against the Chargers and they probably just wanted to keep the same uniforms for both games to keep it simple. I think having more color vs color games is a great idea as long as it's teams in their traditional uniforms and not something gimmicky like color rush.
Believe it or not, the most valuable team in the world was worried about grass stains. Guess they didn't have enough $ for two pairs of pants if one got dirty.

Socks needed to be blue. It's like they're wearing ballet tights.

No matter the new name, they seem intent on keeping the burgundy and gold color scheme.

Has anyone noticed that the Cowboys have low-key retired the road gray pants? They last wore them almost a year ago, when they suffered a hideous loss to the Commanders. Since then, nothing but white pants with the blue jerseys. It'll be interesting to see if the grays reappear this Sunday.
