  1. Yeah, because being one of the top-10 all-time players is still a failure if you don't end up in prison, or at least the psych ward with Antonio Brown.
  2. None of them have the Swoosh, so I don't know what to make of them.
  3. I don't know why they've never done an arched KANSAS CITY mark that matches the KC in the logo. Like this (only with a custom font that better matches the logo). It alleviates any issues with the skinny script, while not being a simple, basic block font.
  4. I like the thicker striping here because it's just a single stripe and not 3 (blue/white/blue) like from the 70s/80s, Basically, like the striping from the Padres brown SAN DIEGO jerseys, spring training jerseys and the pants to go with both, just of the edge of the sleeve instead of on it. The home uniform looks great. The powder blue alt is kinda lateral. Don't mind the white lettering (and I actually prefer no powder blue pants), but maybe the stripe should've been royal blue instead of white. The roads are tricky. I don't mind the block, but preferred the script. Although, I agree, it was skinnier so didn't quite work as well as the LOS ANGELES script for the Dodgers. I do like the removal of the white outlines, but I can see it making them closer to looking like the Dodgers again. That's where the block font differentiates the two. But I love how the numbers are now consistent throughout. Used to be the home whites and royal KC alts had the thicker numbers while the powder blue and roads had the thinner numbers that also looked a little different from the others. This looks much better. Overall, still a great set.
  5. Rangers need to rethink their 2020 changes.
  6. Rays will be playing anywhere other than the Trop by 2028. My money's still on Nashville with Montreal being a decoy, but that's just my personal prediction. Regardless, they'll have something planned somewhere, whether in or out of the area, in time to get the hell out the first chance they get.
  7. It worked in Las Vegas with T-Mobile Arena. And although it hasn't landed a major league-level team yet, the T-Mobile Center in KC has done very well without a major tennant.
  8. 22 games spread out into 3 different trips throughout the season, is not the same as 81 split in half. San Juan was almost more like 3 different vacation trips to Puerto Rico. This would basically be moving to a different location during the season. Yeah the Blue Jays did 3 different ones this year, but it was a one-time instance due to unforeseen circumstances and they're not talking about making that a permanent situation going forward.
  9. LA Clippers. Same as the LA Rams and LA Chargers who also play in Inglewood. Or the LA Lakers who used to play in Inglewood.
  10. You do realize the Clippers are preparing to build a new arena in Inglewood and therefore would not be relocating to San Diego, right?
  11. If they were to move to the NL East, who would switch to the AL East? Miami? Still the same travel for the rest of the division, maybe even farther.
  12. No. That’s the moneymaker sport and their primary sport, as well. Wouldn’t make any sense for them to replace football schools with non-football schools. Might as well throw in the towel at that point.
  13. I think you're highly overvaluing Colorado State's appeal. They are never really considered for any Power 5 conference. Not only is BYU (and the other 3 new Big XII schools) ahead of them, but plenty of other schools are as well. Memphis, Boise State & San Diego State, just to name a few.
  14. It's not pushing down Rice, is accepting the fact that the Power 5 schools consistently have better programs. The top talent is going to Texa... bad example... to schools other than Rice. It's just the facts. The Power 5 conferences are considered a higher level, basically, and the statistics show it. Yes, you get programs occasionally outside the power 5 or power 5-esque schools (i.e. Boise State) that have a great season or seasons, but consistently, it's gonna be the Power 5 schools dominating. And the disparity is rather glaring. Creating a third level that not only gives the group of 5 schools a chance at a championship, but it also forces the power 5 schools to compete more against each other. I don't know why you're taking it so personally, but it really doesn't matter. I stated an opinion. I based my opinion and proposition on reality.
  15. What they need to do is elevate the Power 5 conferences to a new level, leave the Group of 5 schools in FBS to create three Division I levels. Some FCS schools (North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Montana, etc.) can probably move up to FBS and compete with the likes of the Group of 5 schools. Schools like Boise State, Memphis (since Houston, UCF, Cincinnati and BYU are already moving to the Big XII) and a few others could probably go to the Power 5 level. So Division I would look like this: - "Power 5" (working title): SEC, Big Ten, Big XII, ACC, Pac-12 (+Notre Dame & some other schools moving up) - FBS: Mountain West, American, Sun Belt, MAC, C-USA - FCS: As is
  16. 3 schools bring you 1 market... OR... 2 schools bring you that market AND K-State brings you the KC market. 2 additional markets>1 additional market
  17. But at this point, it also seems to become about number of members. If it means getting to 16, there's not many other options outside of, perhaps, pillaging the ACC, which is a possibility. Bringing in Iowa State and Kansas may be an easier way to reach 16. Kansas (for reasons known only to the NCAA) counts as a quality education school, so that appeals to the "appearance" of the member institutions being good academic schools.
  18. K-State brings the Kansas City market for TV.
