  1. Texas has everything it wants in the Big12. It is their conference. I would think it would take defectors for them to move. They had their chance to go not long ago. They wont leave Texas and Oklahoma schools for the Ohio Valley. Some schools would have to go with them. Kansas means nothing to Texas.
  2. I also think they will land in the Big12. I do think the SEC is more possible than people think. It wasn't that long ago they got invited.
  3. Yes, and they may go to the SEC. I understand your concerns about football competition wise, but what can the ACC do about it? Each conference has its share of low competition. Because FSU and Iowa State would definitely fill the stands at Doak. Problem is, the ACC is just about nothing but Iowa States. Want to know the problem? Look at your stadium on a Saturday. No one pumps money in football. Don't forget, no 3rd tier rights, way less tv money, Orange bowl winner taking millions less than the other big name bowls in this NWO. They don't act like the big boys when it comes to $$$.
  4. Possibly. People need to keep an open mind about this. I do think Texas and Oklahoma would rather play in the Eastern time zone than the Pacific time zone.I would think they would push for FSU/Clemson rather than play in Seattle and LA.
  5. Hope it happens. Well, he erased his tweet so who knows. Wouldn't that mean that it was right? And if true, thank the lord Wake will have a spot at the big boy table. Maybe. I don't think this stops more deflections, though. If anything, they are preparing for more. True, but wasn't 16 the "safe" number for a super conference? More will come once the BE dissolves. I still think FSU voted no for a reason. Just like Maryland did. We also know the Big10 and SEC aren't done. Did the ACC plan to go to 16? I'm sure they did. I don't think they expected to do so this quickly. Feels like an emergency.

  8. This is from Brian Miller of the Tallahassee Democrat. @ bricmiller Just heard from someone tied to Big East, Louisville to the ACC w/ Cincy, UConn to likely follow. Which may confirm the other rumor I heard today. The Big East will dissolve next week.
  9. What is the rumor du jour? UConn and UVA to the B1G.
  10. I said since the logo came out that I thought they made it more for 16 than 10.
  11. yahtzee That sums up so much. Jeff Lageman said when he played for the Jags, Coughlin would make the D write an essay on the offense they were about to face. He said there was a guy he had to write for because he couldn't read. Played for a University for four years and still couldn't read.
  12. They will get some cheers in Tallahassee. Some. Aren't there people down there who don't want FSU to jump ship? The vast majority wants out the ACC. I don't know why. Is it a athletic issue, or a financial issue? Money and lack of wanting to be a football conference.

  14. Notre Dame loves them some BC. It might sweeten the deal.
  15. ND pres: "We're really happy in the ACC. But I am concerned about continual instability of this conference situation." Notre Dame and BC to the Big10?
  16. Hehe, someone said something they weren't suppose to.
  17. Kinda ironic seeing how the ACC started the whole conference realignment mess back in 2003.SN: I miss the old Big East. Those last few years games involving any combination of Miami, Virginia Tech, & West Virginia were fun to watch. The SEC was the one to start it. 12 to a CCG was their brainchild.
  18. Eventually it will be Miami and FSU, and the rest of it will be the All Cupcake Conference. FSU, Clemson, and a few other ACC football schools will be Big12 bound.
  19. VT's AD came out and said they are talking to the SEC. The ACC is dying.
  20. They weren't stuck. Don't you see what the Big10 is after? TV Markets and footprint.
  21. "But what about that $50 million exit fee? The ACC recently voted to increase the exit penalty to $50 million for any school abandoning the conference, seemingly an impossible obstacle for anyone looking to bolt. But Maryland, which was one of two schools to vote against the hike, will likely seek to mitigate that fee legally. Multiple sources with knowledge of the situation said university officials believe they’ll likely be able to escape with a payment close to the original $20 million figure." This is why FSU voted no. http://maryland.247s...e-Big-10-102131 BTW, this same guy thinks UVA and UNC will also be gone to the B1G. NC State & VT to the SEC? Clemson and FSU to the BIG12? NWO. Playoffs tend to do that.
  22. I know Maryland takes away from the brand and strength of the ACC, but I don't think they are a terrible loss for the ACC. I repeat, I don't think FSU or GT will leave becuase the ACC is still strong. (They lose Maryland and get Notre Dame?!) The last time Maryland won an ACC football championship was 2001, Notre Dame is probably the most popular team in America and they are ranked #1. I think you miss the point why Maryland and FSU wants to leave to begin with. The ACC isn't making money. This is all about money. Answer me this. We know why Maryland voted against the buyout. Why did FSU? The fact they make half of what UF does doesn't sit well. Just wait till 4 or 5 of these teams jump ship. Virginia, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Duke, North Carolina State, and Florida State. Big 10 is obviously going to 16 teams. Virginia fits the new Big 10. An AAU Mid-Atlantic state. Nailed it. MD is the first domino. No one is done at 14.
