  1. Noooooo! I love the wordmark, probably because of stupid lizard brain nostalgia. But I still love it. It’s unique for sports. I don’t see what’s wrong with an upper Midwest state aligning themselves with the department store lifestyle lol.
  2. I’ll third that. I LOVE powder blue and red as a color scheme, it bugs me how many teams shy away from it (my high school even dropped red in favor of dark blue as a secondary color). It also provides the added bonus of distancing themselves even further from being the “Confederacy” school. Along those lines, I wish either they would drop the Rebels nickname, or get Disney to license them use of the Star Wars rebel logo as a secondary. The whole land shark secondary thing is kind of lame IMO. At the end of the day it isn’t a “PC” thing. The “Rebels” referenced by their nickname fought for slavery and committed treason against the US. It should go along with the other bad nicknames in sports.
  3. Cover up one logo, I might believe it. Cover up TWO logos? Yeah, you are protesting. They should really be protesting the CFP committee though.
  4. Doesn’t ND spray their helmets with actual gold flecks? I feel like actual gold is more yellow than the old gold or Vegas gold most teams use. The real problem with Norte Dame is not getting pants to match. It’s like a Cowboys situation up there. Bonus Edit: Also the Fiesta Bowl may be the worst NY6 matchup of all time. Poor Indiana. The only team that “deserves” to be in the game is the Oregon team that only made the PAC-12 championship game because of Covid. Iowa State’s selection was an absolute joke. End zones look good though
  5. There are much bigger problems with Liberty as an institution than a bird logo. Too bad we didn’t go with Ben Franklin’s turkey... we’d have much more interesting logos.
  6. Are we sure we can’t squeeze a few more patches on the ISU jersey?
  7. This is why it’s so incredibly stupid we got rid of any gray on the white tops. In an incredibly misguided effort to generate many mix-and-match combos they destroyed any flow the uni has from top to bottom. And as a bonus we now have incredibly boring unis that you couldn’t tell apart from Stanford if you were just flipping through the channels quickly. I JUST WANT OUR SHOULDER STRIPES BACK
  8. LOL Why look good when you can reach out to males ages 16-22, the single dumbest subsection of consumers alive.
  9. i wonder if the Sean Miller/FBI/Fraud thing had anything to do with that... or Nike just wanted to metaphorically spike the football on their rivals for both screwing up the UCLA account in different ways.
  10. Nike, you know what to do. It’s Clarendon time. It’s wild that Adidas’ once-flagship school is now under a Nike brand.
  11. Um... I think you’re thinking of the wrong kind of Vandals
  12. Same. Of course it doesn’t “look” like Florida to many... the orange helmets are key to Florida’s usual look. But these are great IMO as a one-off or once-a-year kind of thing.
  13. I think they’re decent but Army and Nike win the uni battle yet again. I swear sometimes UA thinks all you have to do is throw together a mishmash of random elements... you don’t necessarily make it need to all look good together. Army/Navy should be a color vs. color game too.
  14. Red face masks on red helmets look bad, but I agree gray mainly says “USC”. Iowa State should use white or yellow. Also shout out to the Beavers, taking home the platypus trophy in those orange unis.
  15. That nameplate messes up what is otherwise a nice look for Oregon. Credit where credit is due... they look good with that green.
  16. I like this... but now they come even closer to matching the other black and gold “I” school in Iowa. I think the major shift away from metallic gold is a little misguided, although the wordmark is excellent and yellow-gold is still overall underused in sports. I like the gray accents as well because they are another “silver and gold” school similar to Colorado. It’s also still sad to see them in the Big Sky. It makes no sense... the athletic dept. lost a ton of funding and they aren’t anywhere close to being an FCS juggernaut like NDSU.
  17. More teams should consider a secondary logo on the sleeve instead of TV numbers. Looks awesome.
  18. Sorry, helmet stripes are a bad example. I mean more like the sleeve issues on Purdue, etc.
  19. Nike only cares about details up until the point they interfere with their ALMIGHTY TEMPLATES. Because as you know, elite teams would play like NAIA squads if a few stitches and panels were moved.
  20. The Apple Cup has been “presented by Boeing”... but since it’s the state’s largest employer it doesn’t really grind anyone’s gears. Maybe it should, though, Boeing has been fleecing taxpayers through threats to move jobs away for decades now.
  21. Truth. I think the turn of the century was the golden age for football and probably basketball uniforms too. I’d say things peaked between 2000 and 2005, before Nike/Oregon fully opened up the Pandora’s box of crap, and invented the lie that uniform fads somehow matter in recruiting (the multimillion dollar facilities do, with a side of free apparel, which they’ll like no matter what... because it’s free).
  22. If this is an intentional shot at UA for trying to cancel their contract it’s pretty hilarious
  23. Is it me, or did my Cougs turn the letter “P” upside down to get the lowercase “d” on our new QB’s nameplate?
