  1. Should be interesting to see what everyone has. I tried to come up with something but I know close to nothing about soccer so I decided to sit this one out.
  2. You ought to use the updated Clippers logo Rich&Creamy posted.
  3. nooooooo ronnie brown Prepare for 4-12.
  4. Hey BraveBird... you may know this but I figured I'd post it. You said you were having crashing issues... I think it may have something to do with the jersey mesh pattern, as my inkscape crashes a lot when I fiddle around with it.
  5. I don't really want to like it, but... Damn, Miami's are nice.
  6. Looks great! My suggestion would be argyle collar/sleeve cuffs because Nike has done a lot of stuff like that with pro combat.
  7. You know, whereas this seems to be the nightmare season for the BCS, with 5 teams potentially going undefeated, it seems to be a completely perfect season for an eight team playoff, which many see as the best solution. Look, eight teams are either undefeated or have one loss at this time. Perfect. In this hypothetical scenario, however, Cincy-Pitt would likely be an elimination game for the playoff, so Ohio State, Oregon, or LSU would probably jump in.
  8. Spammy, you're not impressing anyone. Also, I don't think he was referring to the PH, which is very trendy of you, but you spelled it phIAl. As for the logos, I think the "eyes" logo has the most potential but it is not immediately obvious it's a Bengals logo. I'm not sure I'd be able to identify it without context.
  9. Sounds like a dumb idea for him, as his brand and personal logo feature 23.

#2: Arizona Outlaws Just the wordmark for now. Version one: Version 2, in monochrome: C+C welcome. The O is kind of bothering me.
  11. It's a shame so many are away uniforms... would have liked a bit more color.
  12. I... kind of like these. Obviously more could be done with it, with the significant visual icons of New York, but it looks pretty nice. As an aside, Connecticut has the worst license plates ever. It's a gradient.

Thanks for the comments. You're right about Hamilton, but I think his staunch federalism and being founder of the federal bank makes him a reasonable logo/mascot. Here's what will probably be the final uniforms and I can finally move on to another team. (Probably the Jacksonville Bulls but I'm not sure.) The Seal of the United States has been placed on the shoulders. The colors have been changed to a dark forest green and a very pale gold. Honestly, if the new USFL wanted these logos I would let them use them for free. I'm sixteen, not a professional graphic designer so it would just be cool for me to see my work being used.
  14. This thread is watermelonman's enduring legacy. What a shame, too, as its their best look.

Finally done with Alexander Hamilton. (I think.)
  16. Wow. That is beautiful. Great job. Question-- is the gold a metallic or flat gold?
  17. I don't know why teams, like Houston, use that template and make the second part of the piping/panel thing on the side of the jerseys the same color as the jersey. Air Force is guilty of this as well.

For the Fixer: The logo is an Eagle because the original logo is an Eagle. There is the obvious patriotic connection with Washington DC. However, with the money/bank theme, I present to you an alternate logo of Federalist Alexander Hamilton, founder of the first national bank: Also, thanks dravencult!
  19. Aww... I was making a mock-up of the spear, but CDixon found the real one. Here's what I made anyway.
  20. After my initial reaction, which was utter horror, I've come to make a more coherent judgment of the uniforms... The biggest problem, in my opinion, is the monochrome and gratuitous black. I don't really mind black trim, but the helmet is just ridiculous. Keep the helmet and pants gold. While we only see one number, I really kind of like the number font, as it creates a more cohesive identity. The feather aesthetic is pretty cool actually. Hey, what's this on the cleats... and updated spear??? (upside down?) Perhaps some foreshadowing??? Gloves = crazy cool Not sure what the hell is going on with the shoulders, and it doesn't really connect with the rest of look. So really, while I think the black-garnet-garnet combo is atrocious, these have several cool ideas and are certainly interesting. I expect our full-time uniforms next season to be something in this style. Hopefully we don't become Oregon, with a garnet, gold, black, and white option for helmets, jerseys and pants.

I redid the USFL logo, getting rid of the black outline-- I did it for legibility but this is still pretty good I think: In response to some comments, I've decided to go back to green with the Federals. I just thought the connection with the federal reserve was interesting and the identity would be much more unique than a standard red and blue patriotic one. While a money theme may make more sense back during cold-war 1983, serving as a validation of our capitalist society, I still kind of like the idea of the identity. One change I did make was add gold-- for one, I love the color scheme green and gold, and gold also ties into the federal reserve. The uniforms-- The helmet is perhaps the most notable part. The Eagle has been "wrapped around". The number font is based on the numbers on American currency. The pants stripe is in the style of the stripes in the logo. And on an action template:

I'm having a bit of a block in coming up with the Federal's uniforms. So here is an updated USFL logo. The original was really painfully executed, between the stripes and placement of stars and font. I've tried to streamline it a bit and make it work better. Included is a monochrome version, and a flag version-- now horizontally oriented, as it not only makes more sense it also is a lot less awkward.
