  1. There was nothing wrong with this uniform:
  2. First, lemme stste that I'm not much of a baseball fan. I'm only speaking from an aesthetic, so I have no idea what certain looks mean to the history of the sport. That said, I love baseball jerseys with contrasting sleeves. Why doesn't MLB do this more often (moreso like the left one than the right one)?
  3. I really liked (and still miss) this particular Washington Huskies uniform:
  4. I'm with you on that opinion. This could have been a modern classic.
  5. Should be Notre Dame's primary home uni.
  6. I really like this Rays logo. Imagine how awesome it'd look on a Columbia blue cap.
  7. Who specifically is allowed to award posters with the highly-coveted CCSLC POTD ribbon?
  8. Agreed 8000%. When they went from stirrups to solid socks/long pants, I didn't shed a tear. No offense to jake22, but thirded.
  9. Other than the out-of-place black alts, grey facemask and black shoes, dammit I LIKE the Arizona Cardinals uniforms. I just can't bring myself to dislike them.
  10. Those Chargers alts suck because they aren't using a true powder blue. In the same state but a different sport, the current Sharks identity is the best they've ever had. I think the addition of orange really works for them.
  11. You're viewing each season in a vacuum. I'm referring to the entirety of the franchise's uniform history.
  12. They broke it up with silver helmets and white socks, so it flowed better. I think the Bears also did mono-navy a couple times, though the Bears not wearing blue/white at home doesn't seem right at all. I thought it was an appropriate change-up for the Bears. Unfortunately it'll be remembered, gleefully by Cheeseheads, for this image (Questionably NSFW):
  13. ? Saints: Local team. Started following them in '04 in the latter years of the mediocre Jim Haslett era. Aaron Brooks (whom I met an autograph signing once. Nice guy), Deuce McAllister. Joe Horn. They were our triplets. Luckily I followed them pre-Katrina so I can't be considered a bandwagon fan with their recent success. ? Lions: Lovable losers. I always liked underdog teams. Easier to avoid the bandwagon tag. ? Texans: Young team. Only a year old when I started watching the NFL in 2003 (advent of NFL Network). Also lovable losers. Once had the best road uni in the NFL (white top/blue pants/red socks). ? Hornets: Local team. ? Celtics: Can't stand the Lakers. ? Southeastern Louisiana Lions: My school. ? Tulane Green Wave: Had various connections to them since I was young. Terribly underrated color scheme. Don't like LSU.
  14. I love collar wordmarks in the NFL. I'd like to see a league-wide mandate on them for every team, save for teams like the Steelers and Jets who use them in their chest logos. I love when football players wear team-colored shoes. I liked the Padres' old sand-colored uniforms. I love the use of cream (or creme) and vintage white in baseball and hockey. I dislike stirrups. Milwaukee Bucks' best uniforms were purple and green. Agree or disagree with me?
  15. I thought I was the only person who felt this way. Glad someone else feels the same.
  16. Is there anyway to view the desktop version of the forum from a mobile device?
  17. *raises hand* Um, yeah, C-USA has guaranteed bowl tie-ins too. This argument makes no sense unless you meant both conferences are BCS AQ leagues. And if that's what you meant, there's no guarantee the new Big East (aka C-USA+) would retain it's AQ status. That's what I meant. Forgive me for not being more specific (I'm typing from my phone). As long as they have at least 8 schools, the Big East will be able to keep their AQ status.
  18. As this board's resident Tulane fan, I'm excited about the rumors of Tulane being invited to the Big East or even the Big XII. Either conference is better than the irrelevant C-USA and IIRC, both potential conferences have guaranteed bowl berths. Hopefully this will help my Green Wave with recruiting and bring us back to prominence! On a somewhat unrelated note, hearing that Tulane was originally in the running for Tyrann Mathieu, ugh, shot to the gut.
  19. I like the Saints black pants, especially with the gold helmet/white jersey combo. The gold helmet DOES help to separate them from the Ravens, Jaguars, Falcons and others, which makes the look even better.
  20. I like white helmets with white facemasks. Think "The U", Texas, and VT.
  21. So Gothamute and Mac, are you guys technically minority owners of the Green Bay Packers? One of my best friends is a Packers fan so all of this intrigues me.
