The one photo that defines a player or career

Oh, the Canadian contingent should be ashamed of themselves. Only one CFL pic, and it didn't even represent THE moment in '89 Grey Cup. For every CFL fan, you have to just say Tony Champion and this image immediately comes to mind... For those not familiar with this, he did it with broken ribs... Ooo, remembered another one... 1976 Tony Gabriel.... -
Exactly. "San Jose Clash," "Dallas Burn," and "Tampa Bay Mutiny" aren't exactly the examples you want to hold up to argue against European-style naming conventions. It's still a step up from the tepid, boring, and unoriginal European-style naming conventions like FC, and FC, and FC, oh and FC.... You may as well slap this on every team and be done with it...

Trying to disguise it from being recognized as the Hamilton Bulldogs logo... Like Clark Kent and his glasses... -
It would kind of defeat the purpose of having a Canadian league....

Fifty shades of Grey Cup–Cinquante nuances de Coupe Grey

Eh, screw Durant, the next-gen of CFL QBs are starting to round out. Bo Levi Mitchell and Zach Colloros are stars, Drew Willy looks capable and would probably look better if he had a decent team around him (and not being injured would also be a plus.) but now it looks like Trevor Harris is a bonafide starter, and Rakeem Cato had a very impressive first game. I don't know why the media gets all twisted in a knot about where the next great ones will come from, they always show up.... -

Considering that this is the NHL, unusually strong language refuting it usually means that the story is probably near spot on.... -

The joke's on us for supporting the National Hockey LeagueI can't leave him, I love him! You'll be better for it. You'll have more free time, more money in the pocket, and less headaches from banging your head against the wall. I divorced them in 2009, and I've cut down my Tylenol intake by 75%.... -

Roustan is a bit of a con-man. in fact I believe he's been convicted of fraud. He has no money with which to do this, and he's on the outs with NHL anyway for making some extravagant in regards to being in the running for purchasing the Montreal Canadiens.... Are you implying that this is a precursor to the Penguins relocating...? -

I'm not sure about that either. She's been reported to be a nurse, and she is a spokeswoman for the really misnamed "Glendale First" (or as it's like to be called on the HFBoards "BeavisPAC" ), but outside of Clark I haven't heard any evidence that she's actually a Coyotes employee. Of course Joyce Clark is a former Glendale councillor who had been consistently in favour of subsidies to the Coyotes and ran in the election she lost solidly in support of current deal. Who knows why she's suddenly turned against the Coyotes, perhaps she's found religion, but it doesn't change the fact that she's an idiot... -

I'm still bitching about the Hamilton Tigers moving, and how they were screwed over by the NHL.... -

Just... I can't even... She's not a resident of Glendale, it's not her tax money that's being stolen out of her wallet to pay for her team. -

Or another way to look at it, they're not going to have a real home game until next year... For me, I'm going THF for the first time in September to take in a game against the Eskimos. Looking at Ticketmaster seat availability, it's almost a certainty Hamilton will be going 9 for 9 in the sell out category... Correction, make that 10 for 10, there are only 26 tickets left for the freakin' pre-season game on the 8th... -
I just love this. I watched the game live when it happened, and watching the ball suddenly drop straight down like it a force field was just too funny. You just knew it wasn't going to be Montreal's day...

I came across this while looking at news on this on Facebook. This might well be the best response I've seen to all this... Richard Osman @richardosman 16h16 hours agoI think Sepp Blatter was absolutely the right choice to lead FIFA, and anyone who disagrees, hasn't seen my new Rolex yet. -

I guessing that it's not going to sit well with those getting banned. I'm sure they can put up with trials and jail time as long as FIFA still backs them, but with them being thrown under the bus, it's only a matter of time before they sing like birds... -

So FIFA is an evil organization bent on world domination, who knew? Betting Sepp Blatter has an Angora Cat. Also betting that Sepp is in fact an alien in human disguise. Sepp Blatter, what a fakey name... -
Well obviously it's last minute, they didn't have time to come up with a proper new uniform, but if you're thinking that the shoulder patches additions were designed on the fly, they were not, they are in fact recycled. The crossbones logo is from their 10th anniversary patch and the 'H' is from their faux retro third jersey...
