7 different former starting QBs for the Browns have found themselves as No. 2 backups on other teams for the 2018-19 NFL season:

    - DeShone Kizer (Green Bay), started 15 last season for Cleveland as a rookie last season

    - Cody Kessler (Jacksonville), started 8 games for Cleveland in 2016

    - Colt McCoy (Washington), started 21 games between 2010 and 2011 for Cleveland.

    - Josh McCown (New York Jets), started 11 games between 2015 and 2016 for Cleveland

    - Brian Hoyer (New England), started 16 games between 2013 and 2014 for Cleveland

    - Brandon Weeden (Houston), started 20 games for Cleveland between 2012 and 2013

    - Robert Griffin III (Baltimore), started 5 games for Cleveland in 2016

The Miami Dolphins have tabbed former Browns QB, Brock Osweiler, who never played a regular season down for Cleveland, with No. 2 Backup duties.

The Washington Redskins had another former Cleveland starter, Kevin Hogan (1 game in 2017) as the No. 3 QB, but he was part of cut downs to final rosters yesterday.*

The Seattle Seahawks have Austin Davis as the No. 3 QB who started 2 games for Cleveland in 2015

*- UPDATE: Kevin Hogan has been claimed off waivers by Denver and in return released Paxton Lynch. I'd suspect Hogan will be the No. 2 behind Case Keenum, bringing the number of former Browns starters as backups to 8.

If you want to include the CFL, it's up to 9.

Johnny Manziel (Hamilton/Montreal), started 8 games for Cleveland 2014-2015

  2. Don Maloney is saying the trade was contingent on Pronger agreeing to go into the Hall of Fame as a Coyote and I CAN'T TELL WHERE THE JOKES ARE ANYMORE HELP

The joke's on us for supporting the National Hockey League
    I can't leave him, I love him!

You'll be better for it. You'll have more free time, more money in the pocket, and less headaches from banging your head against the wall. I divorced them in 2009, and I've cut down my Tylenol intake by 75%....

  3. It's been reported Graeme Roustan will be bidding for a team to fill his arena in Markham.

Going to be a pricey venture paying off MLSE.

Roustan is a bit of a con-man. in fact I believe he's been convicted of fraud. He has no money with which to do this, and he's on the outs with NHL anyway for making some extravagant in regards to being in the running for purchasing the Montreal Canadiens....

Penguins in the market for Phil Kessel.

Are you implying that this is a precursor to the Penguins relocating...?

  4. Joyce Clark is intimating that Pearson was or is an employee of the Coyotes, but I'm not ready to trust Joyce Clark.

I'm not sure about that either. She's been reported to be a nurse, and she is a spokeswoman for the really misnamed "Glendale First" (or as it's like to be called on the HFBoards "BeavisPAC" ^_^ ), but outside of Clark I haven't heard any evidence that she's actually a Coyotes employee.

Of course Joyce Clark is a former Glendale councillor who had been consistently in favour of subsidies to the Coyotes and ran in the election she lost solidly in support of current deal. Who knows why she's suddenly turned against the Coyotes, perhaps she's found religion, but it doesn't change the fact that she's an idiot...

  5. A contraction draft would be fun.

And while I'm overjoyed with the result of the vote, this just means that, when the team moves, fans will bitch how they were "betrayed" and "screwed over" by the city, and how hockey in Phoenix totally would have worked if not for those selfish councillors.

I'm still bitching about the Hamilton Tigers moving, and how they were screwed over by the NHL.... :cursing:

  6. I believe TNSE still owns the MooseCaps (leased to Danny Williams), so I'm guessing they'll move back to Winnipeg whence they came and the Bulldogs, owned by the Habs, will be the franchise moving to the rock. Then they'll leave the "Hamilton Bulldogs" IP to the Belleville Bulls, who will move in, THIS IS STUPID

Okay, I'll bite, why is this STUPID?

  7. The way I see it, if an 8yr old can't draw your NHL logo, it's a bad NHL logo.

I hate this idea. I hate it so very, very much.

    Same.

By this logic, the Blackhawks logo is one of the worst in sports.

No, the Blackhawks logo wasn't that hard to draw, even for an artistic challenged person like me. The ones that always gave me fits was the Buffalo Sabres...and all the wordmark logos...

  8. What happened to the Silverdome going topless thread? I posted a joke picture comparing a picture of the Silverdome as it currently looks to the series Life After People. Later I came back to ask a serious question about the requirements for a MLS franchise and the the thread seems to have completely disappeared. It hasn't been graveyarded.

Have I gone nuts? Am I going blind? Did I just dream the whole thing?

  9. Argonauts 2012 Grey Cup Banner (can't post the pic).

are those banners up for Jays games? I was just up there last weekend and went to two games, and I didn't see the Argos banners.

Up until a few years ago, they used to, but not anymore. I have no clue why they'd go to all that effort to put up/take down the banners before every home game. They hang a bit to the left if the Blue Jays' banners, so it's not like it obscures anyone's view or anything.

My theory is that it's Roger's and they are evil....

  10. But it doesn't seem they have to votes in advance this time. Frankly I think the supporters are trying to force the issue and make the opposition councilors vote publicly against what they see as a "great deal" for the city.

A final suicide move. It's interesting that long time Coyotes supporter Manny Martinez appears to have jumped ship leaving only two supporters of the deal...

  11. I understand why the NHL isn't moving the Coyotes to Quebec City. They're trying to play the long game. Quebec is building a $400 million arena with no promise of a team. They *need* an NHL team, so there's no reason to sell them the Coyotes for $220 million now when you can charge them a $400-600 million expansion fee in a couple of years.

What is with these arbitrary made up numbers? You do realize that there are only 3 teams in the NHL that worth more that $400 million. A more rational number would be in the $200 million range for an expansion fee.

  12. Hearing that Glendale isn't going to make any decisions about the Coyotes and their new Magical Mystery Owner until the end of June, so no relocation this year.

Actually, it probably increases the chance of relocation. Unless you think the NHL is ready to cough up millions more to support the franchise there with no guarantee of the new ownership proposal getting the lease they want...
  13. Craig Morgan of Fox Sports Arizona is reporting that George Gosbee's Renaissance Sports & Entertainment group and the NHL have agreed to terms on a sale. Bettman and Daly will meet with Glendale officials on Tuesday, the same day as a press conference to formally announce GM Don Maloney's contract extension.

*sigh* congratulations on keeping your team, Coyotes fans

Oh, don't fret, this will crater like all the other times...

  14. extremely rare:

Houston Astros versus the Buffalo Sabres

Find an image of it happening and we will give that to you.

Atlanta Flames vs Hartford Whalers '79-'80

Now if we can only get an image of Atlanta Flames vs. Winnipeg Jets, we would really be on to something...
