I’ve gotten used to the numbering changes, though I think @Cujo makes a good point: I think the numbering changes regarding who can wear 1-19 went a little too far. Maybe limit 1-19 (or 0-19) to offensive and K/P? I also like the idea of expanding what numbers K/P can wear—maybe allow them to use whatever numbers are available? I’m intrigued by a QB wearing #0–itd be kinda funny to see one on the Bills, Browns, or Eagles, if you catch my drift. It may not happen in our lifetimes, but I could see teams (in any sport) allowing numbers 01-09 if too many numbers get retired or become otherwise unavailable.

I really hope that this doesn’t sink the league, but, sadly, I wouldn’t be surprised if it does, or is at least partly why. Also, while slightly off-topic, this is an example on why other sports leagues should be wary of putting any more teams in Las Vegas—it’s not the automatic cash cow executives think it is.

Crazy last couple minutes in the Alamodome. It’ll take a little while to get used to some of these rules, but IMO that’s part of the fun with these spring leagues. There also seemed to be a decent amount of Battlehawk fans that traveled as well. I wonder if the St. Louis fans will have a Stan Kroenke piñata for their home opener like they did in 2020?

If this becomes the case, I can’t wait to see what happens when only the Knights and Raiders come close to packing the building in 10-15 years.

I’d love to see something along the line of a slightly updated 1990s Lions look. Keep the updated logo but port the rest of the 1990s set to the current template. Silver and Honolulu blue pants+jerseys and nothing else. I didn’t like the black jerseys, but didn’t hate the minimal black trim either. Is that an OK opinion to have?

Pants stripes go a long way towards improving a look. I can’t think of a single instance where no stripes or, worse off, a wordmark, looks better than stripes.

No playoffs for the Lions, but what a turn around for Detroit. There’s a long road ahead for them, but they could be dangerous if they can maintain this momentum.

Part of me can’t help but think if/how this playoff readjustment could help Pittsburgh’s chances of getting into the playoffs; I know a lot needs to happen (win@CLE+NE and MIA losses), but I just can’t quite trust the league when it comes to finding ways to prop up the Steelers.
