  1. I hear you, the white and cream uniforms are close enough that it is a bit redundant. Guess I just like the current home uniforms too much to drop them completely. Cream does look amazing with their design IMO. Just curious, which of these hypothetical variations do you think looks better?
  2. Oh wow, I totally forgot that the DBacks original uniforms were cream based. Whoops. Good looking out, I updated it on the original post. And yeah, I totally understand where you're coming from about the colors. They're iconic in a way; partly why I was so disappointed to see them drop their throwback uniforms. I'll probably sketch up a set using the original colors at some point.
  3. Atlanta Braves I've always thought the Braves low-key have some of the best uniforms in the game. Timeless look that hasn't really changed since the 80's, when they went back to the style of the original Milwaukee Braves. As such, I didn't make many changes to these, other than to add a their secondary logo as a sleeve patch. I think having that extra touch of gold really takes these over the top. I also brought back their old secondary hats, which can be mixed and matched with any set. Additionally, there are two throwback uniforms. First one is a slight alteration of their old cream colored alternates, which might actually be my favorite one of the set. Second one is a 70's style uniform, which basically takes the place of their City Connect jerseys.
  4. Thanks, I appreciate it! Actually I did think doing of a stacked script, but with the style from their original home uniforms. Wasn't crazy with how it turned out, maybe I just need to play around with the design a little more. This is what I came up with:
  5. Arizona Diamondbacks First team up for this series is the first team up alphabetically, the Arizona Diamondbacks. This one was really interesting to me, as I sort of see Arizona as the Jacksonville Jaguars of MLB. Great primary logo and colors, but somehow their uniforms consistently fall short. Thankfully they've streamlined their look and dumped some of the more "out there" aspects recently, but these still come across as a bit flat to me. The easy fix here would be to just re-introduce the 90's-style uniforms and colors, but I actually went a different route and stuck with their current color scheme. I think red, black, and sand are fitting for a team that plays in the desert. Changes are as follows: Home Uniforms - These switch to the same style as their black alternate jerseys, as I much prefer this design over the tacky "DBacks" front script. Rear numbers are changed from black/red outline to red/black outline Road Uniforms - Primary color is changed from gray to a desert sand color. Red is also used more prominently than their current set, which is very black -heavy. Alternate Uniforms - Red jerseys use the "Arizona" script instead of "D-Bags" "D-Backs". I also brought back the secondary red "D-Snake" logo hats. Black jerseys stay as is. Alternate white jersey stays mostly as is, with the player names going back to black/teal outline to help legibility. This is actually one where the DBACKS script could work, though I still prefer a full "DIAMONDBACKS" script. Throwback Uniforms - Bring back those beautiful purple pinstripe jerseys. Easy peasy.
  6. I'm a bit footballed-out at the moment, so I thought I'd try my hand at my real sports passion of Major League Baseball. Plan is to try for 1-2 sets per week, with the goal of finishing by the end of the year. Teams will be organized by how MLB is currently structured (though I'll probably make an exception for Oakland, who are all but guaranteed to move to Las Vegas). Each team will have at a minimum a Home, Road, Alternate, and Throwback Uniform. Most teams will probably have at least four sets. There will be no arbitrary limiting factors (*cough cough* NIKE ) although I'll probably cap the number of different designs for each team at six. Anything more than that is a thread in itself. I also won't make changes just for the sake of making changes; if a team already has a great look, I'll probably just make small tweaks or create some new alternate jerseys instead. Big thanks to @MJD7 for letting me use his template. I just modified it slightly for my preferences for this thread. Comments/feedback always welcome! --- AMERICAN LEAGUE EAST Baltimore Orioles v2 | Boston Red Sox v2 | New York Yankees | Tampa Bay Rays v2 v3 | Toronto Blue Jays AMERICAN LEAGUE CENTRAL Chicago White Sox v2 | Cleveland Guardians | Detroit Tigers | Kansas City Royals | Minnesota Twins AMERICAN LEAGUE WEST Houston Astros v2 | Los Angeles Angels | Oakland/Las Vegas Athletics v2 | Seattle Mariners | Texas Rangers v2 NATIONAL LEAGUE EAST Atlanta Braves v2 | Miami Marlins v2 | New York Mets | Philadelphia Phillies v2 | Washington Nationals *Montreal Expos* NATIONAL LEAGUE CENTRAL Chicago Cubs | Cincinnati Reds | Milwaukee Brewers | Pittsburgh Pirates | St. Louis Cardinals NATIONAL LEAGUE WEST Arizona Diamondbacks v2 v3 v4 | Colorado Rockies v2 | Los Angeles Dodgers | San Diego Padres v1.5 | San Francisco Giants
  7. Awesome, I really appreciate it. And no worries, I got everything I need.
  8. No worries, sorry I didn't explain it well. I'm simply asking if you thought about using this star in your design at all? I think it would really fit the vibe for a City Connect set for the Rangers.
  9. Awesome job on this series! You have a ton of great ideas. I really love your take on the Nationals, especially. Random question, would it be cool if I used this template? I'm thinking of doing an MLB series of my own and I'm looking for something MS Paint- friendly. Yours is the best one I've found so far. I'd give credit, of course.
  10. Nice work on both! I was really hoping Arizona would do something like this; adding a touch of copper (or maroon/orange gradient) like you used would've made them so much nicer.
  11. Overall, I'm a fan of the Seattle Mariners uniforms. Especially their teal alternates, easily one of my favorite looks in the AL. People really dunk on these online, I guess I never quite understood the hate.
  12. Great improvements on Texas! The red jersey variation might be the best one of the bunch. Just an idea - any chance you could make a variation using a "Texas Ranger" sort of motif? (Like the star from their old logo). When I heard they were making a City Connect, I was hoping they might incorporate something like that. Even just as an accent.
  13. Not bad at all. I like your new sleeve logo, and those subdued stripes work well on the purple jersey. My suggestion would be to create a little more contrast. Use purple outlining on the cap logos, silver outlining on the black jersey, etc. Really make those colors pop.
  14. You could argue the Seahawks are iconic. That was Nike's flagship, the first ones they made after taking over from Reebok (I think). That was 10 years ago already though, practically a different era. Chargers and Bengals are the only really good ones I can think of. As you mentioned, half their "rebrands" have just been corrections of previous rebrands that they butchered (Bucs, Browns, Jags. Jags still aren't even good). That's not great. Lol.
  15. Not gonna pile on here, the jokes about Nike/The Cardinals practically write themselves at this point. But my honest 2 cents: White Uniforms - Unispiring, but not horrible. They left the helmets alone (basically) which was a smart move. I actually like the silver fleks + facemasks more than I thought I would. Sleeves are a little Ohio State-ish but they work fine. Mesh numbers were a dumb idea, it didn't work for the Commanders and it doesn't work here. The jerseys could use some TV numbers, way too much blank white space. Same with the socks, I hate this all-white unitard look becoming so standard across the league. Break it up with some color, maybe red socks w/ stripes? At least they fixed the pant stripes. Black Uniforms - Same as above. I don't love the idea of all black, it doesn't really fit their brand. Woulda been better to see something interesting like Sand and/or Copper as they teased in their promos. I guess I don't hate 'em. Ironically, they did the all-black look better than the Falcons themselves, who completely butchered it. Red Uniforms - HOT. GARBAGE. Lmao what a bunch of ass, seriously. Looks like something an intern drew up in Madden at the last minute. Completely unecessary and gigantic wordmark, zero contrast, plain red pants, plain red socks. Red red red. Might as well call these the Arizona Bloody Tampons. Hopefully they come to their senses and pair these with the white pants; it would vastly improve the aesthetic. Overall, I give these a C-. Upgrade over the previous ones, but that's not really saying much.
  16. Joke's on us, the REAL uniforms are still in the briefcase. This whole evening has been one big deception by the Cardinals. Goodell himself is gonna open the briefcase on draft day and blow our minds. Truly Operation Overlord-level strategy.
  17. Perfection! It's been literally an hour and you guys already figured out how to make these work. Something Nike couldn't do in 2 years, evidently. Thing is, it shouldn't even be that complicated. It's symmetry. When you see how the elements on the white + black uniforms work together... it's not rocket science to translate those to the jerseys + pants (no offense meant, you did exactly what I woulda done). Nike is like some child that can't solve Wordle even though they have 4 letters in place. Like, everything is there to tie it all together. What are they not seeing?
  18. Nike PR team trying to hype up the Cardinals fans, when the overwhelming crowd reaction is a collective "MEH":
  19. LMAOOOO it's the Washington Commanders 2.0. What a dumb set
  20. Tulane Green Wave I like the traditional design of Tulane's jerseys, and it goes especially well with their unique colors. As such, the main thing I did was to standardize the design. Helmets + pants get a 3-stripe pattern, while the jerseys get 5 stripes. TV numbers are also added to the jersey shoulders. Primary helmet logo is the older "T" style logo, as I much prefer this one over the "Angry Wave" logo. Finally, I added three small fleur-de-lis on the inside jersey collars as a nod to the City of New Orleans. I also feature the fleur-de-lis more prominently on my 2nd alternate jersey, which contains them on the jersey shoulders. This jersey also features a stylized "Green Wave" on the sleeves and pants, which is an idea I got from the basketball program.
  21. Tulsa Golden Hurricane I changed this look to be a "fauxback" of sorts, based on these excellent throwback jerseys from 2021. Red becomes the primary home uniform color again, with royal blue as a third option. Helmet is changed to include the full Tulsa primary logo, outlined in white. Number font is also tweaked. For my 2nd alternate uniform, I created a gold jersey with sleeves incorporating the beautiful City of Tulsa flag. Elements from this flag are also used as accents on the helmet and rear neckline. Finally, I made an oversized Carolina Hurricanes-like secondary logo (which I derived from Tulsa's old secondary logo) and used this on the helmet decal.
  22. Oh 100%. We were the "Golden Raiders", but our logo was just the Minnesota Vikings with royal blue instead of purple. Which was pretty ironic, considering we're right in the heart of Packers country (e.g. people would literally wear Packers jerseys to church so they could dip out early and drive straight to Lambeau to tailgait). S**t is different here
  23. South Florida Bulls I went back to something a little closer to their Under Armour years, minus the ridiculous stuff (no crazy color gradients, no obnoxiously huge helmet logos, etc). TV numbers are moved to the sleeves, and I brought back the horn stripes on the sleeves. Both shades of green and gold are darkened up slightly to give better contrast. I also substituted the stylized "USF" wordmark, in place of the primary logo on the chest. The sleeve hornes also become double outlined, to match the player numbers. Gold jersey + green pants and helmets give them some additional options to mix and match looks. An all-green uniform with gold numbers rounds out the set.
  24. This was really well done! Would never have believed this is your first concept. I really like this take on South Korea, the light blue and touch of red really liven up their look nicely.
