  1. The good: the nickname is fine, honestly I love the satin shell of the red helmet, and don't mind switching to a red facemask either ***stretches fingers*** The bad? "W" monogram and roundel are generic, uninspired, have nothing to do with moniker. W stencil logo on helmet uses negative space, but number font has white key-line that actually ruins the stencil numbers, which would look decent if they were yellow with burgundy stitching outline to create the same negative The sleeve stripe on the home jersey is literally just a larger version of the Chiefs. Cool, you just got rid of a classic look and ironically, while trying to move away from your old native American brand, adopted a stripe from an iconic team with a native American brand The white roundel on the back of the home jersey looks ridiculous and will be distracting The "COMMANDERS" script with the topper font makes the jersey script look really clunky The pants and socks being monochrome are clearly a sign that the NFL players think it's "cool" and "slick." Kind of like how Atlanta was doing this until only after a season they realized it looked bad and started at least wearing contrasting pants You can't really wear the white pants with the burgundy jersey because the numbers are yellow, so it won't look balanced The road jersey is the biggest slap in the face to the franchise possible, considering they have worn white jerseys preferably at home since the 80s. The dotted gradient is a holdover of Nike technology from the Pro Combat era, which was one of their lowest points UNTIL NOW. Again, and I can't scream enough, no details on pants or socks at all???? The little flag patch on the alt is kind of cool -- why not lean into that? If simply bordering a nameplate with two random stripes is supposed to be unique, you need new designers. I get there are two stripes in the flag, but they aren't oriented that way at all The black helmet with the little W sticker on the front is one of the worst things I have ever seen and has no place on an NFL field AGAIN, WHO IS DECIDING THAT THE UNITARD LOOK with mono pants and socks is good? This all black uniform is an atrocity This is honestly the laziest rebrand the NFL has had with Nike. Cleveland got really funky, but honestly the only thing I disliked for them was the wordmark pants -- they at least emphasized the tri-stripe, I thought the seam stitching being colored was kind of neat, the helmet update was fine. The Seahawks, Vikings, Lions, Jets Bengals and Falcons did a really great job of putting up guard rails and making sure Nike could get in there without losing sight of their brand (yes, I think the Falcons uniforms, now that we have seen them in the right combos, are really nice). The Buccaneers, Jaguars circa 2013-14, and this are utter disasters. They needed to change their name, not their visual identity. I would have loved some minor tweaks, maybe add the satin helmets, tweak the striping in the DC flag pattern but make it consistent across the board, add pant combos and fine, a black alternate. But this is discombobulated, lazy, and honestly arrogantly an affront to what fans appreciate about the NFL. Yes, Nike has pushed some pretty weird things into the hopper since taking over, but the mistake here falls on the Washington franchise for clearly not having any thoughtful people pulling the strings with the branding. Embarrassing. The Clippers rehash from 10ish years ago with the stupid lines is the only one I can think of that is this close to an inexcusable disaster. And this post is this long because people on this board are super talented and can cook up stuff 1,000 times better during their lunch break on a Monday.
  2. I've got a wildcard prediction: the Falcons will add a grey pant to their set. I think it's definitely notable that they unveiled red pants and red socks but never used them, probably because they were so soundly rejected by fans. A lot of fans asked for grey pants after the unveil because of how it would balance out the facemask, and the top brass with the Falcons/ATLUTD have a pretty good track record of listening and reading the room.
  3. Those Oregon uniforms are stunning. It takes some serious innovation and design skills and production techniques to make something like that. For Oregon, that's a uniform like we have never seen before. Definitely seems to be taking the liberty TCU did with the objects around the collarbone area and taking it to the next level. I love the texture, and the thought process behind it. Right up my alley in every way. Really cool.
  4. Kent State should be forced to forfreit every game and leave the field because of how terrible their uniforms are week-in and out
  5. I'm a HUGE fan. The throwback is just flat out perfect, and the black jersey is a cool canvas to try some new things. The collar is a bit goofy, but I have always loved that Bulldog logo and think it looks amazing on the sleeve. Also, happy to see this means they will actually wear black jerseys this season.
  6. Just because a team wears a certain stripe in one part of a uniform does not mean it has to exist everywhere else. Now, if a team combines classic stripes with modernized piping or inserts, sure, that looks odd. But a striped helmet with plain jerseys and pants or a plain helmet with striped jerseys is totally justified.
  7. Right, but when ordering from a catalog, why would Nike give the option for sleeve logos to be set so low? That's still on the manufacturer, unless the school said "can you please make the logos tuck into the pads so you can't see them."
  8. The sleeve logos on the Marshall jerseys are getting tucked under the pads in the photo shoot. Not sure if they are just modeling the wrong size or if Nike made a boo boo
  9. I don't understand how so many people on these boards just prefer block fonts and chest wordmarks over something intentionally designed. The shoulder stripes and the well done bevels that tie into the logo make the current TAMU set a modern classic. I don't think they need to change a thing.
  10. Pacers and Jazz are great! I would go back to the drawing board with Milwaukee. That typeface is really rough on the eyes
  11. Perfection for the Titans. Love the stars on the jerseys -- such a subtle but unique element
  12. The Hawks don't need a complete uniform overhaul, they simply need tweaks. This uniform right here is excellent, and the red and volt create enough contrast while also staying vibrant. All they'd have to do is remove black and invert the colors for a clash jersey.
  13. Not going to lie, this is one of the boldest rebrands I've ever seen for a college -- super comprehensive, albiet kind of all over the place. But I find it beautiful. That court is amazing. They're going to stand out, for sure.
  14. Nike certainly made us uncomfortable with these uniforms, but I think they normalized quickly and are great, unique, modern uniforms. Cleveland makes the cut if it's not for the wordmarks on the pants. Overall, if you squint, the Browns uniforms are pretty good. I even love the contrasting stitching.
  15. This was the best the Lions ever looked. These are BEYOND drab
  16. [insert Jamal Crawford in black-red-volt Hawks jersey if it happens]
  17. I could go on all day about the Bengals. To me, the old uniform was a dud because the stripes looked like they were forced into traditional ones, if you can get my drift. I liked how the stripes on the 2003-Present uniforms kind of just fell onto the uniform instead of being forced into traditional stripe spaces. My issue now is the way it looks on the new template, especially with the toilet seat collar. and of course, the side panels can be overkill, but I thought the home uniform from the 2003 unveil was a great modernization. Paired with white pants, I liked how the side panel translated into the pants stripe. I loved that uniform, pre Nike. The away was especially nice.
  18. I think that Southern Miss' current uniforms are far inferior to the ones they had prior, even with the two-toned pants. Current: Previous:
  19. I may have posted this a few times before, but I don't think the Houston Rockets should ever sway from their current look...at least not for a long while. I think they're a modern classic.
  20. Sorry, I didn't read all that... I was was too busy staring at the best uniform in football. OP is trolling
