  1. i don't know why they are all calling you "nick", believe me.

  2. Wow, so....goalposts on the goal line? lol Now THAT would be the EPITOME of "awesomely awesome awesomeness", to steal a phrase from my folk Greg. As awesome as that would be... it's MUCH too dangerous, especially in today's game.
  3. Do away jerseys count as an alternate, or just a variation of one set? Does the counting go home/away/alt, or standard/alt/2nd alt? Basically, I'm asking...does the Broncos wearing these brown monstrosities this year take the place of the Orange alts? In a word, Yes. The Broncos have four jerseys this year - navy home, white road, brown home alt and white road alt. As much as I'd love to see the Broncos go back to orange jerseys, I'd gladly trade these beauties for the orange alts for the season. Which is weird after they broke out the oranges last year (after a few years off) and introduced their new signing (Dawkins) in orange this year. NFL shop also shows the preview of an orange in the "new players/new teams" section. Speculation on the Broncos Country boards is that it's a sign that McDaniels is going to have them switch the orange jerseys to the home jerseys this season. I highly doubt that a coach has that much control over the marketing / merchandising of the team. If they were switching, we'd know it by now. I agree with you, but there are a bunch of people on the Broncos boards theorizing that the reason Dawkins was shown with an orange jersey is because they're going to switch the orange to the primary... which I would love, but I seriously don't think it's happening, at least not this year anyway.

  5. You can look at it that way if you want, but if the Chargers, Raiders, Bills, and Pats were allowed to forgo their original 1960 sets for more identifiable throwbacks in what had to have been a marketing decision (which, whether you like it it not is very important) then why didn't the Broncos and Jets? I'd say stronger marketing possibilities beat out nostalgia from eras when you weren't even that good any day of the week. Again, if the NFL mandated the '60 sets be used by all the teams, then fine, everyone gets a pass. That clearly wasn't the case though, so boo on the Broncos and Jets. *I give the Chiefs a pass for two reasons. One, the giant state of Texas logo aside, colour-wise they're still identifiable as the Kansas City Chiefs. I think most fans will notice the colours right off the bat rather then the logo. Secondly, as far as KC goes, there's really no other choice they had as far as throwbacks go. Other than their Dallas Texans uniforms, they've pretty much worn the same thing, with a few minor changes here and there. There's nothing else they could have worn that would have been recognizable as a throwback. You do realize that no matter what AFL uniform the Broncos wore, it's from a time where they were just a horrible team, right? They've done the '65 throwbacks in '94 and the '96 throwbacks in '01... I for one am REALLY EXCITED to see the Broncos wearing their ORIGINAL uniforms, complete with the vertically striped socks. I've already ordered my yellow Champ Bailey jersey and that awesome throwback hat.
  6. You talking about the Nuggets game? That is an ASS. WHUP. ING. Ya think the Nuggets now have a prayer of taking L.A. to the limit if they meet in the Western Conference Finals? After seeing New Orleans get completely dismantled in this series, I'm thinking YEAH! It's not the Lakers that worry me... I think they have a shot against them... it's Cleveland.
  7. I know, call me a homer because that's PP's signature move, but why? If you fall for it, you deserve the foul if the shooter can make you hit him. It's still a foul; you disrupted his act of shooting. The "perpetrator" earned it with his swift move. It's not a flop, it's drawing the contact, and if a foul is tapping the guy on the arm after the ball left his hand (which it is), then this type of contact is just as much of a foul. I always used to feel awkward whenever Pierce did that because it is so obvious, but I thought about it, and it makes sense. I agree with you... it's an NBA rule that if a player leaves their feet in an attempt to block a shot, if he comes down on the shooting player, it's a foul... regardless of who actually created the contact.
  8. I still think he's kicking himself for saying he wouldn't play for Denver.
  9. I see vertically striped socks behind him on that table... AWESOME!!
  10. To a 2nd round exit thanks to Cleveland?
  11. Ray Allen has done in all three games, have you not noticed?
  12. There are SO many things wrong with this set... The removal of the gold/tan was a huge mistake. Too much black on the away set, the numbers should be teal and outlined in black and/or gold/tan. The stripes/piping is poorly done and too University of Miami for me. The number font looks like some sort of block hybrid which just doesn't work (see Patriots).
  13. I think both are boring and need more.

  15. Try adding the full jaguar logo to the sleeves, without it they look a little plain.
