Thanks! As you can imagine 2-color teams like the Wings and Leafs are a bit tough in this design format, and they'll probably look about the same. When I recreated these ones this morning with all the newest bells and whistles, the Toronto one is the only one I changed from how I laid it out originally. When I was early on in the process I was kind of using a different set of rules in my head and I ended up not liking allowing double stripes like this. Here's what it looked like before I changed it today (and before I changed the template quite a bit): Regarding the Avs colors, I haven't spent a ton of time on them yet because when I'm done with all these, I'll probably take my time and make 10 different Avs versions I just think the navy alternate jersey is the classiest of our jerseys, so wanted to give it a go.

Thanks! It's a PhotoShop file, with a couple linked Illustrator files (the logos and numbers). I've been tinkering with it for about 5 days now, thinking I'm done, then coming back and totally changing it or tweaking things. I started with this image and went from there (it was the cleanest, highest-res jersey image I could find): I don't think it's ready to sell or hand out at this point--especially the process of stitching the logos and numbers. It's a fairly quick action I made creating offset paths from all 4 elements, but then I have to go in and manually paste strings of "VVVVVVVV"s along the paths. Easy enough for someone that knows what to do but I'm not sure there's a way to make that user-friendly enough to have it included as part of a template. So after I'm done with all these, I'll need to strip it down a bit, and I'll probably build out other typical striping and collar options and stuff. I'm very much enjoying tinkering with it though.

For sure—it’s mostly a joke of course, using one of the ugliest jerseys ever for all the teams… I was partial to the Vegas ones after making them though. They could totally pull it off as an alt jersey for a year.

That occurred to me in the process of creating these. To be honest “wearing a medal” is a better theme than most of them would’ve looked otherwise, haha. It really is the ugliest jersey ever.

Hey, all! If you're a hockey fan, you probably already watch The Hockey Guy (Shannon Skanes) on Youtube. If you are and you don't... you should. Well the other day he posted a fantasy News of the Day video from an alternate timeline (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3AsFHiH81k) in which he announces that fans voted for the infamous Vancouver 'Flying V' jersey design to be worn by all 32 teams in their team colors this coming season. Well, Mr. Guy, ask and ye shall receive! Below is the first of four installments: jerseys for 1/4 of the league--the 7 first teams in reverse alphabetical order, and the Avs because you're not the boss of me. In most cases when a team has a mid-tone primary color I've also used that as the basis for an alternate jersey design. First though, the original in all its 2K x 2K glory on the new template I special made for this project: Beauty, eh. And this was their light colored jersey! You won't see teams getting away with colored light jerseys these days. Ok, now for the rest! Winnipeg Washington Vegas Vancouver Toronto Tampa Bay St. Louis Colorado There ya go! Submitted for your approval. It can be a bit challenging on such a limited design when so many teams have similar colors, eh. I've finished all of them already, I've just made tweaks to the template since exporting them (such as adding stitching around the logos and numbers) so I still need to re-generate the rest. Came across this thread searching for newer NHL fonts, and thought peeps might be interested in an edit I made to this logo after the Avs won. The blue and maroon backgrounds were done by the Avs Facebook page for their profile pic, but I thought the cup needed reflection of the colors to further customize it. So I nabbed a vector copy of this logo and adjusted it: (Here's the original profile pic that I based it off): As an aside, there's a full cup (including the bottom) iteration out there. If anyone has a lead they can point me to for a vector version of it that'd be grand! I normally get all my vector NHL logos directly from the HTML of the NHL website, but I've had no luck with this full cup version, and unfortunately it's actually cut off in the logo above, not just masked:

Hey, all! Looking for the name of the font the Avs switched to for their jersey nameplates starting in 2017. The font is VERY similar to their old font, but there are distinct differences between some of the letters. The C and G for instance. I tried Whatthefont with just the below (to lessen curvature) and got no accurate results. Really, REALLY would love either the font name, or if it's custom and somebody here has put one together, a link would be a beaut. Thanks in advance!

My fonts got wiped off my computer and I need to download 'em again. This one is one that I NEED NEED NEED. Anyone know what it is?

I know pro wordmarks are often custom, but I also know some of our amazing artists here like to recreate the fonts themselves. Any idea what this font is, or where I could get a created version of this custom? I took the liberty of trying to straighten it out a bit so we can see what the font may look like unskewed: Much appreciated!

I simply duplicate the item, stroking the rear object. Then outline stroke, release compound path, add and expand. I'm kind of anal about keeping things clean and expanded instead of stacking tons of off-setting effects, etc. like others are prone to do.

I feel retarded asking for a template that everyone probably has, but I've searched the last 10 pages or so of this thread and have yet to see it. While I typically prefer other hockey templates, I think this look will be the best fit for my newest project: Does anyone have a vector version (or .PSD if you must) template of the Reebok All-Star Hockey jersey? yeah there are several things in the ol' Illustrator that the grouping can mess up and won't even let you know. Generally it won't let you add and expand multiple objects if they're grouped--with each other even. Still... gotta love the program... Also, does live trace really work?! I've never bothered to use it... I honestly don't think I could trust the computer to duplicate something as well as I could just with the pen tool. If so though... man that could come in handy!

So what you're really lookin' for is a Swiss 'Ball template?

From what I've seen it blows chunks. I'd rather spend basically the same amount of time doing it by hand instead of using autotrace and then the pencil tool to clean it up. I think there's a full program from adobe that's supposed to be like some super-auto-tracer on steroids. I don't remember what it's called, though.

I usually type out my text the way I want it, select it all, and make a new art brush out of it. I'd take the width down to about 10% or less, then when you apply it to a line, you can adjust the stroke number to get the text exactly how you want it. typing along a path is probably the easier way to go though... I have to admit I didn't know you could do that (stop laughing!) I'm going to have to keep on keepin on with my total training dvds, eh.

it's generally not a good idea to mix rasterized art (jpgs, bmps, pngs etc.) with vector art (ai, eps and so on). Unless you're going to redraw the jpg logo in illustrator (which is exactly what I'd do), you're better off doing the whole thing in photoshop.

Does anone have an active link to Roger Clemente's (or anyone elses, for that matter) Hockey template in vector format? I'd really appreciate it! I had a couple people PM me the football template, thanks again!

Does anyone have Nick's NFL template in vector format they could host for a bit for me? I'm using the newest version if IE and when I try to open the zip's it sits there for a minute then the browser closes--then that's all, folks. I'd really appreciate it--I need it for Astros contest!
