  1. I apologize if it wasn't clear. Basically I just meant that there are some sports logos that I personally do not care for, but because of either their historical significance or sense of tradition, I would not want them to change. I don't personally like the Flyers logo, but if it were changed, it would just feel wrong to me. Most logos that I dislike, I would love to see redesigned (Carolina Panthers/Hurricanes, etc.).
  2. It may sound strange, but although I've never much cared for the Flyers logo, I can respect it as being a classic and don't think it should change. What are other logos that you guys feel that way about?

    SNO

My two cents: I like the middle one. It seems to fit the MMA look with the flourishes. I do not, however, care for the skewed "S" and "O". I don't think it is necessary or adds anything. The top right one looks very much like a college logo. Almost seems too rigid for a sport as fluid as Brazilian Jujitsu. I think treating the "O" as an eye with blood is an avenue worth pursuing. The bottom right logo isn't a quick read, but the drop of blood is great. It doesn't read right to me because the "S" looks to be capital, but the "no" looks lowercase, as if it were one word. The bottom left one is pretty nice. Reminds me of some sort of WWE logo. I don't much care for the extra accents on the "S" and "O". I definitely prefer the middle one the most. Maybe instead of that red vertical element in the top middle, turn that into the drop of blood.
  4. So Fraser, do you need to hire a lawyer every time some idiot steals your work? Or do you try contacting the offender first, and then if they don't act like a decent human being you contact a lawyer? Have you ever had to go through legal hell over something like this?
  5. Yeah, I agree. I couldn't quite figure out what was wrong. But, it was a practice exercise, so I'm not going to sweat it too much. It was a fun way to pass a quiet day at work yesterday. Love the rest of it though. Revised (quickly, again).

  7. I've been lurking on these Fraser boards for a while because I am a big fan of his work. The videos inspired me to do an illustration of my own yesterday. I threw this together quick.

    Big Ten Logo Concept

I don't think the "T" is as much of a problem as the "2" is. The "2" reads like a "Z" to me. I can still read/get that the "T" is there.
  9. I think with very little modification, you could turn the flaming basketball into an angry-faced flaming basketball. That would be pretty cool and even more unique to the Heat's logo.
  10. Thats what I was describing in my post (minus the tree additions, which are a nice gesture). I say you don't need the bball and just call it done. Though the sharp corner where the banner juts into the "B" doesn't look right to me. Seems like there is a green outline around the letters that would sit on top of the banner.
  11. I really like this one. REALLY like this. Can you bottle and sell some of your talent?
  12. My winning design is now up on the site for sale. Check it out! Thanks. http://www.theclinkroom.com/taco-shop-league/taco-bulls-now-available/

    Miami Redhawks

Go Bobcats. Boooooooo! Though, when I was at Miami, Marshall was our biggest rival (at least in football). Though, the Ohio rivalry is the most traditional.
