  1. I don't think Lupul in a Mighty Ducks jersey looks weird. His second tour with the Ducks does though. He wore #14 in 2009-10 before his career was almost ended. The next season he switched to #19 and then got traded to Toronto.
  2. That was his number when he played for the Shawinigan Cataractes (QMJHL). They retired his jersey in 2011.
  3. From a distance those pads make Tim Thomas' legs look hilariously short. Devan Dubnyk and Ilya Bryzgalov. Dubnyk was Edmonton's starter the past few seasons but managed to play as bad as possible for an already bad team, to the point where the Oilers had no choice but to sign Bryzgalov, a goalie that couldn't get a contract after the Flyers bought him out. Dubnyk was eventually traded to Nashville and played two games before they realized what a horrible goalie he is, sent him to the minors, and then traded him to Montreal, who also put him down in the minors where he currently is. Bryzgalov was traded to Minnesota after a few months with the Oilers. I don't have a bad word to say about his time here.
  4. When did the Lakers change Shaq's retired jersey to the same style as the other ones?
  5. TSN recently did a six minute feature on the 2003 Edmonton Eskimos and their Grey Cup ring. They were scheduled to play in Toronto on Thursday, August 14... that day is most famous for the massive blackout across the Eastern Seaboard. The game was delayed three days, leaving the Eskimos stranded in Toronto and eventually out of resources (CFL commissioner Tom Wright had to bring them bags of his own money). The players used this time to bond and bring the team closer together. Edmonton won 10 of their final 12 games en route to winning the Grey Cup. In addition to 150 white diamonds, each ring contains a single black diamond located on the right side (in the middle of the Grey Cup trophy's base), signifying the blackout and the turnaround of their season. Here's the link to the feature for anybody interested: http://video.tsn.ca/?dl=cfl-latest/latest/2/0/977937/clip/#cfl-latest/latest
  6. The original scorebug for this package was horrible. Tiny and unreadable. Here it is being used for Game 1 of the VAN/DET and NYI/TOR series: It was replaced after the first night. It was only used for the first two nights of the 2002 playoffs.
  7. Probably already posted but here he is during his one game with the Hawks in 2004:
  8. I wish more goalies did this with their pads (flipped the colours). I remember Martin Brodeur used to have one red and one black pad, and Martin Biron did it in 2005-06 with the Sabres. Brodeur: http://www.comicscardsandmore.com/promos/omega2000.JPG Biron: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm...artin_Biron.jpg Did here ever wear #9 in his very short Phoenix stint? -Dan Yep. He wore #16 for the first two games of the 2005-06 season and then at the Coyotes' home opener, Bobby Hull unretired #9. Brett wore it for the next three games before retiring.
  9. Is that up still? I thought it was just temporary? It's coming.
