  1. I'm angry because the Bills have an amazing roster and a great QB and it's looking like they'll be looking up at a generational QB for another 20 years. I don't know why everyone else is so upset.
  2. I guess, but the complaint is about the 6 seconds Taylor Swift is shown on screen at a time. How are you supposed to be prepared for that?
  3. The Taylor Swift stuff is super weird. It was novel at the beginning of the season, but she's the biggest touring American pop star. Of course she'll be on screen -- for essentially no time at all. Also, she was huge for women coming to watch the game. Women I knew were significantly more interested than they otherwise would have been.
  4. Listen, the only way I can rationalize the Chiefs constantly ruining my teams' season is by calling them Thanos. So I'm going to be doing that until something different happens.
  5. On this day, we are all Chiefs haters. Also, Mahomes might be up there with Brady and Montana and I don't think that's especially controversial. He's a winning winner.
  6. All these Swifties tuned in for this borefest. EDIT: however, obviously, KC is going to win this.
  7. I was not into millennial nostalgia but that ended up being pretty fun millennial nostalgia. This game is a kind of a stinker so far, huh.
  8. Thank god the Lakers didn't trade D-Lo. Hopefully Ham is coaching his last game tonight. I have to laugh at the Pacers dumping Buddy Heild but picking up Doug McDermott. Nature is healing.
  9. I can't believe the Knicks are running the table like this. The east is wide open and they can absolutely be a contender.
  10. That's why it's so funny no one wants him. The hot new thing is CrossFit 36-year-olds. Once Andy Reid retires, that's it.
  11. Brazil? The NFL can :censored: off.
  12. They had 13 injured players tonight, right? I don't even know how that happens.
  13. I'd love Belichick as an assistant with Buffalo. McDermott is a dumbass and Belichick doesn't shrink under pressure. Of course, Belichick breathing down McDermott's neck is a disaster in the making, but if they could play ball it would at least be an interesting idea. And when McDermott is inevitably put out pasture, we can at least kick the tires on the guy who won a :censored:ton of games with the GOAT QB.
  14. I swear to God if the Lakers trade LeBron James...
  15. I can't see Golden State winning again any time soon. Youth is against them at this point, and 2022 feels like more a failure of the Celtics than a success of the Warriors (though I wasn't watching that playoffs anyway so IDK). My new favorite way to watch Lakers games is to turn them on, watch LA go down ten early, catch up by the end of the half, and then immediately go down ten again in the third. Darvin Ham refuses to pay Jarred Vanderbilt and Rui Hachimura any meaningful minutes, even though those guys with LeBron, AD, AR and D-Lo went to the WCF. He has a deep commitment to start Cam Reddish and Taurean Prince that 1. doesn't equate to wins and 2. is infuriating the Lakers fanbase. At this point, it feels like Ham is playing bad lineups out of angry defiance rather than any belief they'll succeed. The Lakers team is in open revolt against Ham, who is still supported by Jeannie Buss, who in turn doesn't want to pay two coaches so won't fire what is obviously a bad fit. All this, while the Lakers are wasting a final season of the GOAT, who remains a top 15, impact player nearing 40 years old.
  16. Social media is designed for engagement, and angry engagement is the easiest, most effective kind. None of this is real.
  17. Is that happening? My read on it is there are clear nutjobs struggling to process their feelings on Taylor Swift, but I felt like the football allegiances were otherwise arbitrary. I'm rooting for SF in two weeks but don't think the other result is evidence of a deep state. Well, at least separate from however compromised the NFL is with the gambling industrial complex.
  18. Not gonna share the details, but some of them online mania surrounding the implications of this Super Bowl and Taylor Swift have me rooting for the Chiefs.
  19. It's all narrative stuff. The world wasn't primed for the Bengals to be good, so it didn't count. It's why Lamar Jackson is about to win an MVP although Brock Purdy or Josh Allen would be better candidates. Narrative bias.
  20. Depends on what you mean by "back." Those Bills haven't lost their division since. Last season their teammate died on the field. This year they were missing 7 defensive starters and lost by 3. I know I'm being a fanboy some of these things are not like the others.
  21. And bless your team for doing it. My team only ever gets the consolation prize of playing them close and almost winning.
