When the play-in was first announced, I think it would only include the 8 and 9 seeds, and the winner would advance. Including the 7 seed seems unfair. Going from the 7 to potentially out of the playoffs altogether is a huge, huge disadvantage. Especially if, like the Pelicans, they finished 2-3 games ahead of the other seeds. Similarly, the In Season Tournament needs to mean more. The Lakers and Pacers played an extra game with stats that didn't count, and a trophy that kind of doesn't mean anything. I don't think you should guarantee a seed to the IST, but that was an actual game that actually happened. Maybe it's a tiebreaker? A win that cancels out a loss?

That's a bummer. It also comes down to who's healthiest and every season, one key guy just misses the playoffs or is out of the Finals altogether.
-
Four titles in 6 years is about as good as it gets. And knowing the Warriors, they'll somehow land Giannis or Donovan Mitchell or both and start it all over again.
-
LA is toast against Denver, so I'll take my wins where I can get them: Lakers win and Warriors lose. Not bad. Shame the Thunder ended up with the 1 seed instead of the Nuggets. Denver stacks up best against the Lakers than any other team in the west. LA would have been perfect against OKC.

I just read this story on ESPN.com: https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/39931044/arizona-coyotes-players-informed-team-relocation-utah Seems pretty final to me. That's a really kind thing to say but when you break up with someone it's ultimately the kindest to tell them it's never going to work out and they should move on. -
I was shocked to learn they won the title last year. I never thought we'd see women's college basketball go from novelty to the more important tournament.
-
It kind of feels like one those Belichick moves were you dump a guy a year before it's too late. Or that might just be cope. Either way, the Bills have developed some pretty good receivers over the past few years. I don't think all is lost.

2024 International Soccer (National Teams)

Dos a cero, late stoppage for chants -- that game has everything! -
Russ as a Steeler is kind of weird. The thing is, he took himself out of Seattle. Now he's suddenly a journeyman being taken on as a flyer. Didn't Mike Vick ended things in Pittsburgh? Wouldn't be surprised if this is the end of the line for Russ too.
-
Teams are routinely getting to 70 in the first half.
-
Russ (like the basketball Russ, come to think of it) is a disaster at a bit contract but a tremendous value on a minimum. I wouldn't be upset if Buffalo took a flyer on him.
-
I was on an island when that Chargers rebrand came out, saying it wasn't all that great. Nice to see others come around.

I'm thankful to not be color blind, because I think this game would be impossible. The Sounders continuing to cause contrast clashes every single year is quite the skill.

Yeah but I'm not going to do that. Especially since there's a native Apple Music app on Android. Bum ass company. -

I have a Galaxy Fold, so it's the same thing. I can watch Apple TV on my Xbox; why not my stupid phone? -

It's coming soon ish. Not sure exactly when, but they need grass for the World Cup. You know what's stupid? I can't access Apple TV on my phone. -
Did he ever actually even play for the Bills? They drafted him but I thought he was in his legal stuff before he ever played.

That's just hilarious. -
They wish. The standard Sounders fan is a combination of bearded or balding, is either incredibly skinny or incredibly not, and has never looked cool in their lives. If you don't believe me, do a scan of the ECS. Their hearts are in the right place but fashion sense definitely not. Seattle wishes that was their typical fan. The hipster shoot looks ridiculous.

Sounders with those blue shorts is incredible. I love it. I was down on the leak, but these look so nice as a final product.

2023 NFL Regular Season Through Super Bowl LVIII

I'm angry because the Bills have an amazing roster and a great QB and it's looking like they'll be looking up at a generational QB for another 20 years. I don't know why everyone else is so upset. -

I guess, but the complaint is about the 6 seconds Taylor Swift is shown on screen at a time. How are you supposed to be prepared for that? -

The Taylor Swift stuff is super weird. It was novel at the beginning of the season, but she's the biggest touring American pop star. Of course she'll be on screen -- for essentially no time at all. Also, she was huge for women coming to watch the game. Women I knew were significantly more interested than they otherwise would have been. -

Listen, the only way I can rationalize the Chiefs constantly ruining my teams' season is by calling them Thanos. So I'm going to be doing that until something different happens.
