  1. Sad to see DoBoer go. Hopefully Grubb doesn't follow him.
  2. This is true. Wild conditions can sometimes take away both teams' advantages, and then you end up with a 6-3 finish. And unlike last year, Buffalo can't use Detroit as a backup.
  3. Belichick floundering in year another place without Tom Brady would sure be wild to see. If he does stay coaching, LAC seems like the best fit. In we're being fair, Belichick hasn't had a good, let alone great, QB since Brady. Herbert isn't Brady, but he is likely a top ten QB.
  4. Isn't Pete staying on in some sort of emeritus role? I know it's a bull:censored: title they gave him, but I didn't get the sense he was itching for a new job. Or that anyone would hire him. Seems especially hard to invest in a 73-year-old when the new trend is Millennial coaches.
  5. I just heard secondhand of Belichick to Seattle? That would be a total disaster. Vrabel is probably going to NE anyway. Let Belichick slum it in Carolina or Atlanta.
  6. They better have someone ready to go. Harbaugh or bust.
  7. I like pizza and hot dogs. But what about hamburgers mother:censored:er?
  8. Is this real? If so, hilarious: EDIT: Also, it's a shame the MVP is a narrative-based award. Josh Allen finished first in total yards and TDs, beat the Chiefs, Dolphins twice, and Cowboys, and ended up with the 2 seed. And he would have had more wins if the defense could hold a lead against the Pats and Broncos. It's at least worth a discussion of Josh vs. Lamar.
  9. NFL QB s need to be able to handle pressure in the pocket. The Washington O-line was one of the best in the country, and Penix had all day every day to make those beautiful throws. The Michigan D-line was far beyond anything Washington played all season long, and Penix couldn't handle it. His on-a-dime throws disappeared, and by the end of the game he was just chucking it. I like Penix and I'm a UW alum. I wish last night had been different. However, it wasn't and Penix was a huge part of why Washington wasn't able to win, even though the defense kept them in the game through three quarters. The win was there for UW, but Penix couldn't hit his receivers. He could get within three feet of them, but was consistently off the mark in high-pressure settings. If were a GM, I'd see him as a project and not a starter.
  10. Probably. After the Texas game he rocketed way up. But last night not being able to handle pressure probably tanked his value. I think he went from first or second round to third to fifth. If it comes out he was injured, that's probably even worse, given his history. Maybe his career trajectory is Teddy Bridgewater? Knowing what we know about him, where would he be drafted today?
  11. That was his worst game of the year. I'm not sure what was up -- and it's possible it was Michigan's defense -- but he's generally way more composed. Check out highlights against Texas last week; he was a completely different guy. Had Penix played to his normal level, the game is probably a lot different. But he didn't, and that's a credit to Michigan putting a ton of pressure on Penix. Also, he ended up way desperate in the 4th. That was just a guy hoping for a prayer.
  12. Washington had every opportunity in the second half. That holding call on the big play was suspect, especially since there was a lot of getting away with things all night long. Anyway, whatever. Cheaters always win.
  13. No trying to tell anyone how to do their jobs, but you can call pass interference on Michigan. It's in the rulebook and everything.
  14. Yep. Just a bunch of big cheaters. Only explanation for it.
  15. If UW wins, great! If UW loses, it's because Michigan are cheaters. Makes tonight pretty easy.
  16. He converted on the 4th of that drive, so feels like it still counts.
  17. Oh, good point. I guess both those teams are on the decline, either way. And I'd like the Bills to have a shot to get a playoff win against the Chiefs. Especially at home; it would be so satisfying.
  18. Until that play, Josh had been perfect on 3rd/4th and 1s. Josh was still moving when they blew the whistle and they could have gotten him there. If that were a goal line play, they would have let it go further.
  19. I like Miami's chances in KC. The Chiefs haven't looked right for more of the season and they didn't seem entirely happy with each other during their last big loss against the Packers. Or Raiders. Or the Philly or Bills losses. Wins against the Bengals and Chargers at the end of season don't feel especially inspiring either.
  20. Doesn't matter anyway. This team was dead a million times. I can't believe they won the division. Buffalo doesn't have this kind of luck!
  21. That spot on the 4th and 1 was bogus. And why did they whistle it dead while Josh was still moving?
  22. I'm doing my best reverse jinx. I hope this isn't a double reverse jinx.
  23. Eh, that's it for Buffalo. That's at most 21 points they gave away.
  24. This game is a microcosm of the Bills season so far: explosive offense, terrible picks, and so many missed opportunities. And injuries in the secondary.
  25. They're advertising this Peacock game like anyone wants it.
