Let's not forget that AT THAT TIME, the intent of those in OKC-- elected officials, 'business leaders' like Bennett and McClendon, and the locals/citizens, was to obtain an NBA franchise BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY

And they used an opportunity to not simply and graciously TEMPORARILY "host" an NBA team that was affected by probably the worst natural/man-made disaster to ever hit a major league metro area, but to try and KEEP that team for their own and make the temporary move PERMANENT.   The history of that is here on this board, as well as on their own fan boards, and can easily be found on the internet for anyone who wants to look for it.

And when the (then) Hornets moved back to New Orleans full-time, they successfully used WHATEVER MEANS NECESSARY to acquire another team.

Bennett and McClendon weren't the only jaggoffs involved in that screw job. But I get what  you're sayin'.

I 100% believe that's a bogus rumor someone on the boards pulled out of their ass and CCSLC geeks ran with.

To add, the Bengals and Browns colors are purposely alike, play in the same division, and the NFL isn't enforcing anything.

Wasn’t the Bengals color scheme originally an AFL eff you from Paul Brown?

Fun fact: The Seahawks are the only NFL team that has never worn white at home.

They’re also the only team to play in the AFC and NFC championship games…I think.

Personally, I'm a bigger fan of the original Seahawks uniform,  (Cue the crying, "wwaaahhhh, that team was even worse!)

As I stated earlier, I think the helmet logo reappearing on the sleeve is a clever reuse of the stripe, but ultimately kinda clunky and redundant, like every time the helmet logo repeats on the jersey. The slightly thinner pants stripe here are a little less visually jarring, and match up with the road jersey sleeves.  And I'm always a sucker for matching sleeve stripes/sock stripes on home uniforms. Plus a gray mask to annoy grumpy posters for the win.  And teams can always throwback to the first uniforms just because they are first uniforms.

That was my introduction to the Seahawks. They were terrible, but they were my team.

I have Phillies season tickets.  Even when they blow.  If they didn't exist and we had only a minor-league team, I would probably go to a game or two just for fun, but they wouldn't be the "event" that a major-league game is.  I cannot hold it against people that they don't want to spend their time at minor-league games.

That's not to say that there aren't reasons that would carry over to a ML team - but sometimes it's just that people want major-league sports and not minor league.  I no neither Portland nor it's situation with the Beavers (assuming that's it's MiLB team still) - but I have a hard time equating minor-league support to major-league support.

The third iteration of the Beavers left in 2010.

If nobody goes to Portland Beavers games, while it's worth looking into, it's not necessarily indicative of how a major-league team would be received.

I could get behind that if it was a one-off instance. But when that city has had multiple relocations, I can’t subscribe to Portland being MLB ready. But that’s just one old man’s opinion.

There are 2 kinds of people on discussion boards.

    1. Those that get sarcasm

    2. Those who are victims of it

We get it. It wasn't remotely humorous the first time. Move on.
