  1. I'm not sure this is unpopular, but I hate the Pirates current Fam-i-lee throwbacks. It's the cap and the pants that bug me. It's not a true pillbox hat and the black pants are terrible with the pajama style.
  2. they are nice, except for the USA on the face. Looks like a bland, generic font.
  3. Never I my living in Louisiana have I heard the term Baby Cakes. I voted for Po Boys. I recommended Fly Catchers (bird native to Louisiana and a baseball centric name) and Rougarou ( “wolf man,” the monster is most commonly described as a bayou-dwelling werewolf with glowing red eyes and razor-sharp teeth. )
  4. or even a good adidas uniform period. It didn't look bad, just didn't look like UCLA. I wish they would bring back the gold pants with the road whites.
  5. oh yeah, I bitch about the Black alt constantly. I figured that and the camo will be seen in 150 games this season. Might as well stop producing the road gray and home whites.
  6. Hmm, I'm open to a tweak or two but I dunno if orange is the answer... anyone wanna take a stab at how this might look? Maybe I need to see it to believe it.Edit: I just made a quick workup of it right now... how come I can't post the picture here? Rear numbers are orange. But their Blue, Orange, Black would be much better. Not sure about the yellow or green (shades of their logo) This is incorrect. The rear numbers on the gray jerseys are black with a silver outline and an orange (specifically red-orange) trim at the bottom of the numbers. The only jersey to have orange numbers are the black alternate jerseys and the black BP jerseys. As for the wordmark, no versions of their wordmarks for either Miami or Marlins are orange, they are all either white or black, which is why I was curious about your suggestion for an orange wordmark. There is also no green on any of their uniform logos. Yellow is only used to trim the middle portion of the M on their caps/helmets, sleeve patch, and chest wordmark. Yellow is used nowhere else. I stand corrected, I don't know why I thought green. Maybe I was thinking of the stadium wall color. I saw the rear numbers after I posted that, and I was too lazy to edit.

  8. these Miami greys are ugly. Lettering on chest needs to be orange.
  9. Cards regular duds could use some red piping like the St. Louis alt. Making the bat black one year would be ok with me too. I saw an old school mixup on UniWatch that was nice. I think it was 1934 lettering and bat with modern birds. It looked good. I agree with the Cardinals uniforms being overrated but not because they are boring. There is something off putting about them to me. Maybe the cardinals on the bat make them a little too busy for my liking. For me, the issue is that there's too much negative space on the jersey. The St. Louis alt with the piping looks a thousand times better than the regular home and road jerseys.
  10. I'm not a huge fan of stirrups either, I do agree with the full socks with stripes, like the Giants had one year recently. I don't like stirrups either. Full socks look a thousand times better. Given that football has proven that you can still pull off stripes on full socks, there's even less of a reason to wear stirrups.
  11. I like the heck out of the Clippers sleeved powder blue unis. Even though they remind me of Louisiana Tech's women's unis from back in the day.
  12. I like the 1960 Squaw Valley USA hockey throwbacks better than the 1980 Lake Placid ones.
  13. I hate that jersey. Can't wait for 140 games of it and the Camo one.
  14. has this one been mentioned? Loved him as a kid. From 1991
  15. But this could be an eBay hoax, but glad they didn't. They look way too much like the Ravens, sans purple. It isn't a hoax, it was an actual prototype. They used to have a section in the teams HOF inside the Superdome called "The Locker Room" that featured all of the teams previous uniforms that they wore. When I looked around I saw this prototype on the floor and posted on the wall next to it were it's concepts and a write up about the proposed change. Apparently the NFL was toying with the idea of letting teams wear alternate helmets and the Saints proposed a black one similar to their illegal '69 version but with their current logo. That section in the Superdome has since been closed off for more player portraits and the uniforms relocated to an inclosed glass wall section. I didn't see the prototype amongst the uniforms although it was only about three of them in there. I snapped as many pics as I could at the time, they're crude, but so was my Samsung slide out at the time LOL. while this does look a lil too Ravens like, I wouldn't mind seeing the Saints have a custom font. IIRC someone made one in the concepts area here based on the streetcar numbers. Looked pretty good.
  16. I hate the Black Pirates top that they seem to have worn 150 times this season. Looks like a high school or minor league jersey with just the cap logo on it.
  17. I dislike all the ncaa schools doing the stormtrooper white uni combos. The solid white helmet and face mask with decals looks like a peewee football team. If you are going with white helmets, throw a strip on there with a colored facemask.
  18. I liked these Knicks unis: http://www.newsday.com/sports/basketball/knicks/knicks-jerseys-through-the-years-1.3958326#13
  19. the Blackhawks got their new rings, however I'm not smart enough to post a link
  20. That's a high end douche feature for a high end douche like Loria
  21. wonder if Marshall Henderson wears his on his middle finger? Or did he lose it shooting craps already?
  22. would have thought they'd have 27 diamonds for the 27 batters faced/ 27 outs. Neither did I. Those are nice looking rings.
