  1. I'd love to be able to say that but the Clips need to make the playoffs again before they can win a championship. This is looking like the year we stop the losing mentality and start making the playoffs consistently, because our roster is pretty much free of bad-work-ethic guys and locker room cancers, and full of young talent, and we have a new coach with a reputation as a good motivator. But I'm still not going to put the cart in front of the horse. Tell ya what, if my Clippers are still playing in late May of next year, then I'll break out the old Comic Sans.
  2. I don't. If they win one without any depth at all or a quality starting point guard or center, that'll be impressive enough to me.
  3. Looks like a stretched version of PF Din Text Pro Medium.
  4. Both of those scripts are most likely custom.
  5. Well, couldn't football be in Tier 1 and all the other sports be in Tier 2?
  6. Or maybe it's because the Mountain West Conference already took them. Just a thought.
  7. Boise State has other sports - men's and women's basketball, cross country, track and field, women's volleyball, etc. Granted, those programs aren't exactly stellar, but they exist.
  8. Why isn't Boise in the top tier? Two major bowl wins in the past four years, dominating wins over the likes of Oklahoma, TCU (twice), Oregon (twice), and Fresno State when they were ranked #8 in the country - all in the past ten years - as well as a 59-2 record at home since 1999 would probably get them into the top tier in real life, right? Granted, not all of those home wins have come against traditional teams, but then again, traditional teams have been reluctant to schedule them as of late.
  9. The Pac-10 would have to steal Boise from the Mountain West Conference, because that's where they're headed.
  10. Agree with Morrison and Fisher, but the Clippers drafted Odom (and he played there for a good five years), and Garnett was a member of the Timberwolves for far longer than he's been on the Celtics. Now here's a REAL "wrong uniform" for Lamar Odom: And for Derek Fisher:
  11. His Facebook and Twitter both just so happen to be links to 2010-nfl.com.
  12. The Burger King alts used Century Schoolbook Bold Italic and the McCabe jersey uses a squooshed version of Serpentine Bold for the numbers.
  13. Well, I'm going to have to say those three loathsome words I hate... It's the Clippers.
  14. I'd love to see that happen, but I think the team should win a championship first or even consistently make the playoffs before they start retiring numbers. However, if they were to do that, I would add Sam Cassell and Danny Manning to the list - Cassell for leading the Clips to that miracle playoff run in '05, and Manning for being a back-to-back All-Star for the Clips.
  15. 2009 NBA Draft Lottery Champions, 1998 NBA Draft Lottery Champions, etc...
  16. Karnak Pro Black Italic from Red Rooster is about as close as it gets, but it's a pay font.
  17. If/when the Clips get LeBron/DWade/Joe Johnson/Dirk/etc. and a competent coach, they'll be shining the spotlight at their games real soon.
  18. A super-cool and very '80s prototype anniversary jersey for the Expos: The jerseys that the Jaguars were set to use before the forced logo change - love that leaping jaguar across the top: I found the Expos one on UniWatch, BTW.
  19. I love those numbers! Here's a prototype version of the Astros' Rainbow Guts jersey: Love that cap logo, and the white crown of the cap!
  20. Definitely a custom Nike font there.
  21. Looks like (blech) Trebuchet MT Bold Italic on the black banner.
  22. Hey, I'm not necessarily agreeing with them... but there does need to be a way of punishing the teams with stingy owners that nobody goes to the games for anyway. I'm more in support of a harsh salary cap and a harsh salary floor - this will make big spenders like the Yankees pare back and actually have to fairly compete with the rest of the league, and it will make cheap, lazy owners pump more money into their teams to make them competitive. Not sure why they haven't done that yet.
  23. The NFL, NBA and NHL are fine the way they are. But the MLB hasn't yet realized that the three other major leagues have actually evened out the teams in each division by now. I mean, do they realize how ridiculous it is to have only four teams in the AL West when there are six teams in the NL Central? Anyway, FanHouse came up with an interesting idea in this post: have the MLB work like European soccer, with an A league and a B league - contenders go in the A league, and underachievers go in the B league.
