  1. The Chargers don't qualify for PBFPBS, though, as they've used powder blue for most of their history as either a primary home uniform or an alternate. The Penguins need to base a whole uniform set around this: Sheer awesomeness.
  2. I assume he means that the ugly shade of athletic gold that the Penguins now use looks like khaki.
  3. 1997-2000 (they got rid of the jade one after 1999, though).
  4. I actually like all those Ducks jerseys, first of all. The Wild Wing in particular is so outrageous and bizarre that it's actually good. Second of all, this is the "Unpopular Opinions" thread. What were you expecting, popular ones?
  5. And these were the Ducks' second-best. This would have made a nice everyday-use set, honestly.
  6. No, THIS was the best (Mighty) Ducks uniform.
  7. Sacrilege! Seriously, how can you hate these beauties: They need to be the full-time home uniforms. Back on topic - more unpopular opinions of mine: ? I hate the Yankees' whole uniform set. Same goes for the Colts, Cowboys, Raiders, Penn State, Alabama, and the Lakers. ? Gold really works with the Celtics. ? Teams that refuse to use alternate uniforms or participate in uni-related special events are really just being pretentious. There's no good reason why the Yankees can't have fun with their look (for example - when they refused to take part in TATC), other than the very self-congratulatory reason of "tradition."
  8. I suppose that makes me graycist, then. /bad puns
  9. I forgot those on my list - but I prefer the pants stripes from their 1993 uniforms:
  10. Well, pretty much anyone that reads my posts will know that my uni-related opinions seem to be unpopular most of the time. Just a sampling of my favorite uniforms that few others seem to like: Baseball: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_RJnZXOek6bo/Rju_Boq6R5I/AAAAAAAAAKc/0ewg_nAkkZA/s320/Diamondbacks__front_.jpg http://sportslogos.net/images/logos/53/76/full/9yr6hc89f4thezhw7jvpsxsb3.gif http://sportslogos.net/images/logos/53/59/full/lyt91yqgb37tv2auexddonqll.gif http://sportslogos.net/images/logos/54/63/full/hlukfqm7654c08fbdmekh56x1.gif http://exhibits.baseballhalloffame.org/dressed_to_the_nines/images/nl_1975_houston.gif Football: http://www.vitaminsforpitbulls.com/images/woodson_throwback.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b279/tmit12/292354.jpg http://sportslogos.net/images/logos/7/170/full/3540.gif Basketball: http://sportslogos.net/images/logos/6/225/full/fijf5xyhiujpfrfee1aqzg4fg.gif http://sportslogos.net/images/logos/6/230/full/xhrnt3mjrnrf3qdnewf2vk59x.gif http://sportslogos.net/images/logos/6/223/full/77m5xttvlilqe42zg9w23fa45.gif http://sportslogos.net/images/logos/6/222/full/ibf0e2e6aews8yrqp748nbee3.gif http://sportslogos.net/images/logos/6/220/full/4erepkchfs6lqmdzrc7hdedph.gif Hockey: http://cdn3.sbnation.com/imported_assets/131352/canucks6_medium.gif http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q124/cdnuniguy/Ducks/wildwing.jpg http://inlinethumb10.webshots.com/45769/2444934810100337552S425x425Q85.jpg Sorry for not using image tags, but I would have passed the image limit.
  11. I'd love to be able to say that but the Clips need to make the playoffs again before they can win a championship. This is looking like the year we stop the losing mentality and start making the playoffs consistently, because our roster is pretty much free of bad-work-ethic guys and locker room cancers, and full of young talent, and we have a new coach with a reputation as a good motivator. But I'm still not going to put the cart in front of the horse. Tell ya what, if my Clippers are still playing in late May of next year, then I'll break out the old Comic Sans.
  12. I don't. If they win one without any depth at all or a quality starting point guard or center, that'll be impressive enough to me.
  13. Looks like a stretched version of PF Din Text Pro Medium.
  14. Both of those scripts are most likely custom.
  15. Well, couldn't football be in Tier 1 and all the other sports be in Tier 2?
  16. Or maybe it's because the Mountain West Conference already took them. Just a thought.
  17. Boise State has other sports - men's and women's basketball, cross country, track and field, women's volleyball, etc. Granted, those programs aren't exactly stellar, but they exist.
  18. Why isn't Boise in the top tier? Two major bowl wins in the past four years, dominating wins over the likes of Oklahoma, TCU (twice), Oregon (twice), and Fresno State when they were ranked #8 in the country - all in the past ten years - as well as a 59-2 record at home since 1999 would probably get them into the top tier in real life, right? Granted, not all of those home wins have come against traditional teams, but then again, traditional teams have been reluctant to schedule them as of late.
  19. The Pac-10 would have to steal Boise from the Mountain West Conference, because that's where they're headed.
  20. Agree with Morrison and Fisher, but the Clippers drafted Odom (and he played there for a good five years), and Garnett was a member of the Timberwolves for far longer than he's been on the Celtics. Now here's a REAL "wrong uniform" for Lamar Odom: And for Derek Fisher:
  21. His Facebook and Twitter both just so happen to be links to 2010-nfl.com.
  22. The Burger King alts used Century Schoolbook Bold Italic and the McCabe jersey uses a squooshed version of Serpentine Bold for the numbers.
  23. Well, I'm going to have to say those three loathsome words I hate... It's the Clippers.
  24. I'd love to see that happen, but I think the team should win a championship first or even consistently make the playoffs before they start retiring numbers. However, if they were to do that, I would add Sam Cassell and Danny Manning to the list - Cassell for leading the Clips to that miracle playoff run in '05, and Manning for being a back-to-back All-Star for the Clips.
