  1. Weird that the Delle Donne retail leak had a hyphen, I can only assume it was a retail error. I’m actually shocked the WNBA is minimizing sponsors and bringing back individuality
  2. Shame, gold numbers would have fit in really well with that Germany kit. I don’t know how soulless you have or be to prefer that bland corporate federation logo to the Mirò inspired one. The crest is also a major downgrade, the fully colored one is way better than the monochrome one they’ve been using lately and the generic shield exacerbates the crest within a crest.
  3. Bucks and Nets looked great. Mavs-Thunder looked like an intrasquad scrimmage or one of those 00’s Mavs-Jazz games
  4. Since their statement is already blue and I can’t see them doing 3 similar blue jerseys I’m guessing the color was white with the summer league wordmark? Maybe in blue with a white and orange outline
  5. The Jerry West silhouette in the NBA logo is gold on the Lakers
  6. Seeing these together made me register how close the Thunder look to the Mavs. Leaving the orange out was a bad idea. Overall, probably the best “edition” Nike has made so far
  7. These might be my favorite Pacers uniforms of all time, that shimmery material is beautiful. It would have made way more sense for the Pacers to have 80’s inspired uniforms and for the All Star Game to have that stupid cornfield ‘We Grow Basketball Here’ branding. It remains bizarre that they’re using them in Atlanta when they’re not even being sold, they have motion lines on the star logo when the new star logo doesn’t. Does Nike not have the turnaround speed adidas had when they moved the Charlotte All Star Game?
  8. I don’t think that freeing the design features from the panels works as well here as it did for the Chargers: Tigers are overwhelmingly black stripes on orange, not the other way round. This way it just looks like a cheap imitation and I’d rather they ditch the tiger stripes wholesale instead of orange stripes on black. An orange shoulder panel containing the black stripes like in the original tiger stripes uniforms would have been better
  9. Here’s the website to vote: www.milanocortina2026.org These are both awful, but the Futura option being inspired by drawing on fogged windows is so bad and will disappear at a distance much like its inspiration. Dado isn’t great but at least the colors are fine, the perspective looks messed up, it looks like it was made on MSPaint. Huge downgrade on the Torino 2006 logo
  10. Just spitballing here, is there a chance they aren’t wearing it since they aren’t in their city, making a City uniform about Toronto (really Drake, but let’s pretend) ill fitting? I’m still hoping they wear something to thank Tampa like the Hornets did in OKC
  11. This is so dumb. If they aren’t selling it anyways, just repurpose the old generic uniforms with the team logos on the front. Or make a limited production, just plop the All Star logo on the front as a script. Why are they wasting a clearly Pacers inspired design on Atlanta?
  12. This is really good! I find the addition of the lighter green unnecessary, but while I did like the nostalgia of the old one it was showing its age. This is sleek and fits with the more soccer-ish WNBA identities. That arch at the bottom looks ready to be flipped vertically to resemble the Sonics arch, and I wouldn’t hate it at all I do find it slightly amusing that they chose to name their main color “Thunder”
  13. I actually love this. The side panels give it a very early 00’s look, an aesthetic that’s practically disappeared from soccer but it’s an era that the revived Earthquakes should be celebrating. That blue is so beautiful it’s a shame they so often use black (and if they continue using this scheme brings them uncomfortably close to CLTFC)
  14. There are other ways to reward individuals for team accomplishments. FWIW, French league and league cup both give out mini-trophies but my preference is medals, as is done in the Olympics and most other competitions outside North America. You receive them right after the game and not months later, maybe after having changed teams. They’re given out by the competition instead of the team, and the officials greeting the losers first is great. Plus the team is actually handed the trophy instead of it being handed out to the owners
  15. Pretty sure you can’t wear a federation logo on an Olympic jersey
  16. I love most of the Timbers kit. Love the callback to the original kit, ditching the white sleeves was the right idea... but it is so disappointing to not see opposing contrasting sleeves and a single color back. Still might be my favourite kit from them.
  17. Thought this was interesting It was already clear they wore whatever they wanted, but I don’t see how not having a primary kit is beneficial to the brand, especially when one of the two kits changes color every two years
  18. IDC what anyone says, the striped sleeve is by far the best option they could have chosen, would have looked amazing with striped socks. The small hoop with the Sox wordmark above it, the one with the full White Sox wordmark, the one with the racing stripe down the arm, and the one with the asymmetrical stripe from neck to sleeve with no batter logo are also better than what they ended up with IMO
  19. San Marino updated its logos with new logos for the federation and national team crest It’s a bit hard to see but there’s hidden S and M in the crest, which combined with the three towers makes it a pretty nice crest. The previous one was just the national emblem inside a roundel, which I appreciated as a kind of non-professionalism kitschy look, but this can stand on its own alongside the rest. Makes sense that they wanted to capitalize on their recent massive success of two consecutive draws after six years with only losses. There’s also new logos for their league and cup.
  20. Sorry, I was thinking of the theme of those jerseys and the Art Deco buildings recalling the prohibition era and Miami Vice look inspired by the TV show, wasn’t really thinking of how it sounded as names for a player owned league. Edited the team names out
  21. The NBA is also inadvertently shooting itself in the foot considering that it is by far the sport where it would be easiest for the players to break away and start their own league, which is occasionally floated out as something the players, already by far in the league where they have the most power, might do. And the strength of their brand might be one of the biggest reasons why they wouldn’t do it. By diluting their brand they’re making the case for the players that people would watch a black and gold Chicago or a Vice colors Miami if the good players played there
  22. FWIW the real new logo leaked. Don’t think the semplification really works in this case, the C just becomes an unnecessary outline and the M Is too narrow. Can’t see it lasting too long, they’re in the process of being sold again and jettisoning a logo the new owners have no attachment to but the fans don’t like because no one likes change is an easy win for an incoming owner
  23. They already are, to a point. PSG is at its 4th PSG x Jordan collection, and next year will have the Jordan brand on its home kit. They’ve been massive sellers and I can’t see them stopping, even though I find the replacing of the Tour Eiffel with the Jumpman distasteful This has been replicated at a lower scale with the adidas humanrace kits, or the Juventus x Palace collection. As long as they sell, they’re evidently successful, which is why Nike is bringing this collab style over to the NBA with the Knicks Kith jersey. I’m not opposed to team brands branching out into street wear, but I’d prefer they’d do it out of the strength of their own brand and motifs instead of lazy collabs, which only appeal hypebeasts, not fans. The 2018 Nigeria Nike kits and collection were a massive hit and sold out pretty much every item, but the patterns weren’t just slapping a logo of another company on it. And they went further outside of the athletic equipment with South Korea and Nigeria 2020, but still maintained the patterns of the shirt
  24. The Charlotte All Star game that was moved had completely different branding than the one that eventually happened, although tbf the new logo system came in between the two. Not like there’s a whole lot you can do with two lines a little graphic on a generic script, especially in Indiana
  25. The color of the downward triangle was also interchangeable in concentration camps, according to the the type of prisoner, the red and pink ones are still used to remember the deceased. Literally any other shape or a triangle in a different direction would be preferable. I’d suggest not ending the sides on a point, instead making it resemble the trapezoid at the top
