How about the classic Virginia tech fighting gobbler
... That is literally a link to an image Hettinger did on these boards. If you click through it goes to his thread and everything.

I've always thought this one could use an update.
Hank, the mascot logo for the Eastern Arizona College Gila Monsters. I've never heard of another school using the gila monster as a mascot and always wished they made better use of it.
Fun fact: their mascot costume was the inspiration for Homer's Safety Salamander in The Simpsons. Marge even references it when she says "You look like the mascot of one of those horrible colleges from the south."
I redid Gila Hank about a year and a half ago: http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/96826-vintage-mascot-logo-refresh-update-baltimore-orioles/?p=2207161
I contacted Eastern Arizona College to see if they'd be interested in buying the revamp, but there are some weird copyright issues around who owns it, apparently.

This is the most amazing thread I've ever seen with my own eyes. The quality of work in here is amazing. Makes me want to uninstall all the Adobe software on my computer.
Love to see something Florida related. I don't really care what anyone does with it, just like to have something vintage or completely new. Wouldn't mind to see a Gator leaning against the "F" word mark...that would be cool.
If you guys can find the time, I greatly appreciate it.
I actually redid this guy in my logo refresh page. You can see him here

These new ones are wonderful, I'm so glad you're getting paid!

Pistons should dump the generic Basketball and adopt this. Though the N and the T are a little rough to read.

Ren, I don't think a new thread would be the best way to display the logos you've already done, because it'll basically be a duplicate of this thread. I'd look into doing a blog (I made a tumblr where I just post logos), or if you want it to be more low-maintenance you can make an album on imgur. That way you can just give people the link and they can browse and comment there, and you can either continue using this thread or make a new one (or multiple ). The other bonus of making a separate place to view them is that it can serve as an informal portfolio!

Ren I love the community college ones! I adore remaking their logos too. I think a new thread would be a good idea, because most of the posts on here now are requests, and it makes it harder to see your work.

I found this one today, I think it could look awesome touched up:
From the Humboldt Broncos
Edit:
So I actually got a little sidetracked looking at this logo and I attempted an update myself. I'd still love to see what you'd do, Ren, but here's mine-
If this is threadjacking let me know and I'll take it down!
Given what you had to work with which is the case in many of these vintage logos I think it turned out really well.
No I don't think your threadjacking, as a matter of fact your more than welcome to take a crack at some of these requests I haven't done if you like.
Thanks Ren! It was actually really fun so I can see why you've done so many! Once I have something else to procrastinate from I may try a few of the requests

Like many others, I love these vintage logos. Does anyone know where the trend of mascots wearing those little hats came from? Were all of these designed by the same person, or was it just a popular thing to do at the time?
It's actually a "freshman beanie" that they're all wearing: http://library.osu.edu/blogs/archives/2013/08/09/long-gone-campus-traditions-hats-off-to-the-era-of-freshman-beanies/

Can anyone point me towards a free font that's as close as possible to this one?
That's Compacta.
Actually, it's Tungsten Bold. But yeah, Compacta is freeware and will get you close enough.
Thanks guys! This is a big help!

The proportions are a little wonky, but this is a cool look!
