  1. I think I remember making a Blues logo similar to yours and presenting it as a shoulder patch concept. Great minds think alike, I guess? Seattle and Rangers are also my faves
  2. I actually like the Dynamo name, as well as their colors. Their crest isn’t very exciting though, and I look forward to seeing what they come up with. I’ve done some concepts for them in the past, and each time I went with a space theme like the Astros and Rockets
  3. After a while I realized, when naming an MLS team, they seem to prioritize looking attractive to the world as opposed to just sports fans in America. I learned that as much as we gripe about Euro-inspired names, actual soccer fans in America seem to like it this way. They would tell you they were actually glad the Kansas City Wizards changed their name to Sporting KC. Which I can understand. Sporting sounds a bit more dignified, to the ears of a sports fan from outside the US, anyway. Seems taking on more traditional identities helps convince the world to take us more seriously. After all, now that soccer is getting more popular in the US, I feel like we finally have something in common with the rest of the world.
  4. Confluence seems like a bit of a mouthful to me, but that’s personal preference. I’m also wondering if the blue/red stripes might make them look too much like Atlanta?
  5. Well, I’m glad you all like it, even if I was just fooling around. Here’s what their road uni would look like... I wanted to use more red on the jerseys. Hopefully this doesn’t make them look too much like the Giants.
  6. I think one can safely say Red Bull has become a multimedia outfit by now, kinda like how Virgin isn’t really just a record company anymore.
  7. Hail to the Red... Bulls! They already own teams in a number of other sports, so why not?
  8. Technically it’s not NBA, but has anyone seen this already?
  9. Sort of a concept, sort of a prediction. I decided that these would be the logical routes SLCFC might take when it comes time to get a kit together... A: This one was carried over from a previous concept for the same team. Some of soccer's oldest and most famous clubs wear candy stripes, and I always wanted a similar look for my home team. A classic design that represents superiority. B: This one I’m also leaning toward. The red sash reflects the pattern of the arch and river in the logo. C : Similar to the red/white stripes, a solid red jersey also evokes the energy of powerful teams such as Man U and Bayern Munich. D : The logo suggests red/blue stripes might happen, though I fear this one might look too similar to Atlanta United.
  10. I know a certain restaurant that would very much NOT prefer that. Anyway, I do like the colors, though I find it kinda troubling to see so many people mistaking the red for pink. The arch and rivers design is a beauty, I think I just need to get used to seeing it for a bit.
  11. These are all amazing. Have you considered using a logo on some of these like you did the Yankees? I found it a little concerning that you were only using the word marks on all these.
  12. I do like the font they’re using. Very bold, very energetic. Anyway, looks like we have one week left to speculate. A glorious future, or a world of disappointment, is just around the next corner.
  13. Looking at the list again I just noticed the last one. I can’t believe they’re considering calling them the Brewers! I mean, we have a big brewery, and a good microbrewer community here, but still...
  14. Fun fact: The Scott Gallagher logo was used as the emblem for St. Louis Soccer United, the first serious ownership group dedicated to landing an MLS team in the STL back in the late '00s. Word is they would’ve used that as the crest for the new team if we were awarded the franchise then.
  15. I’ve seen this list floating around as "official," as in, the team would most certainly have one of these names.
  16. Good move putting the king outside the shield. Everything looks a little less awkward like you said, and the elements work together better
  17. If the league is still in the mood to use references from other soccer clubs, Athletic or Wanderers would be a nice fit for the team.
  18. That monogram would be awesome if Charlotte didn’t already have something similar. Still voting for brown/orange
  19. Ngl, I feel really dumb for expecting anything else than this. No nickname, same colors as the Panthers, at least the crown look nice. Maybe they can make up for this with a kit that actually stands out? I’m imagining blue/white striped jersey with black shorts.
  20. Any word from Sacramento about their identity? We'll be all set once they come up with something.
  21. The three up top would be my picks. Brown/orange if I had to choose just one.
  22. I like the wheat-crown thing, but it's sad to see the old logo go after it held on so long.
  23. The way things are looking, they might become a green team, like the USL team. I was an advocate of them wearing brown at one point, but that might be more suitable to the Sacramento club. I've come up with a lot of concepts for this team since the conversation for one first began about 12 years ago, I may say since I first even heard of MLS, and I’ve tried out a wide variety of color combos for this hypothetical team. I’m excited to see how the real thing will turn out, and how close it came to any of my "predictions." I'm a little distraught to hear that their debut will be rolled back a year because of The Cough, but I understand why they have to. I feel a little better knowing that I’ll at least know what they’ll look like soon.
