  2. Wouldn’t want this as a full-time look for the Browns, but as an alternate? LOVE IT.
  3. Are the authentics for these ASG uniforms a preview of the next template for MLB teams? It’s long past time to replace the Majestic version with the awful side panels.
  4. Bluecifer! Thing creeps me out every time I arrive at the airport there.
  5. Hey cool, they listened to me! Oooh, yeah that definitely would have been nice. Hopefully someone in Bristol is taking notes for next year.
  6. Throwing a bit of a hail mary here, but does anyone know of a place that sells hard-to-find MiLB merch? Specifically, I am trying to find a black version of the Sacramento River Cats’ Dorados hats. I wear either a L/XL flex fit or a 7 5/8 fitted. Adjustable would be fine too. I think the black Dorados hat was from the first year the team did the Copa de la Diversion program. Since then, they’ve had a blue version with a yellow front panel and a yellow crown/blue bill one. I’ve seen several sites with those, but the black hat is a white whale.
  7. Good look at the Browns jerseys on the new template. https://twitter.com/browns/status/1665805349817860101?s=46&t=FwkQzzTavPC6FVuaaoarNw
  8. If you look closely, the logo wipes on made baskets are gold now, and there are some other elements of the graphics package that have been “gold-ified” for the Finals (and WCF). Overall, though, I agree. This score bug is missing some of the pizzazz of past Finals. They kinda painted themselves into a corner with it this year by prioritizing having the team abbreviations match the colors of the uniforms they are wearing. That was a much-needed upgrade given how confusing it can be at times with all the different uniforms teams have now. At a minimum, you would think they could put the Finals script logo where “NBA Finals” is now.
  9. That PNW logo on the sleeves looks like an homage to the original WWF SummerSlam logo.
  10. The different courts component is interesting to me. Is the league going to foot the bill to have an extra 30 courts made? Are teams going to have to store them? If the league is actually having separate courts for this in-season tournament (and not just digital signage on existing floors), I would come up with some sort of design system that brings consistency to all the games being played and adds to the idea that this is a special event. If every team just has another alternate court with no ties to anyone else’s, it kinda defeats the purpose.
  11. The league said anything that is too close to the color of a court is a no-go because it messes with digital ads displayed on the floors on TV broadcasts. That’s why the Bucks’ cream alts were dropped a couple years ago.
  12. Wow, Tom Tupa catching strays in here…It’s a cold world! I do agree with everything you said, though. There’s really nothing about the Cardinals brand anymore that says “historic franchise.” A simple modernization can work. If the rumor about keeping the logo and white helmet is accurate, it sounds like a promising start.
  13. The ads in the spaces are removed for national TV games, so there’s a good chance a lot of the floors you’ve seen with blank spaces normally have those areas filled. Thinking ahead, it would be nice if the league used that space for Playoffs/Finals logos during the postseason instead of adding them digitally on the court.
  14. The Packers’ color rush pants having the green and yellow stripes flush against each other while the jersey’s trim has white pinstripes separating those colors is one of those annoying little things that I can’t unsee.
  15. Even though jersey ads started before, it seems like the advertising avalanche was really accelerated by the pandemic. Teams were given a built-in excuse (lost ticket sales revenue, etc) to put more ads on their courts (and fields for baseball), both physically with paint/decals and through digital ads. Now, even though things from a revenue-generating are pretty much back to normal, the horse is out of the barn re: advertising. No going back now
  16. I would like the G logo 100x more if they simplified it by getting rid of the baseball and background G. Maybe Northeast Ohio-based Goodyear would have taken issue with it looking too similar to their winged foot logo?
  17. It started with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s “Land of tha Heartless” in the 90s but mostly took off with LeBron’s return to the Cavs.
  18. I’m with the people in the replies here who said some version of the statue shown on this banner would make a better primary logo than the winged G ball they went with, but otherwise, the current set is mostly OK. As the Commanders have shown, it could have been much worse.
  19. Proprietary number font that now includes the line through the middle. Silicone application for the gold. Textured trim around the arm holes and collar. V hoop logo hidden in the overlap in the side of the shorts. Waistband logos. If you don’t like those details, that’s fine. But they’re there.
  20. I disagree with the “they’re practice jerseys” sentiment. There’s a lot of detail, but the problem is that it’s probably too subtle to appreciate unless the uniforms are right in front of you. Adding a simple trim around the collar/shoulders or down the sides would have helped, and if they wanted to have a line through the numbers like the 90s, using a contrasting color would have been better, but otherwise, these are a big improvement from what they’ve worn the past 5 years.
  21. I would suspect the actual jersey won’t have a gradient, and what you see in the picture was Nike’s attempt at simulating the shiny gold application on the uniforms with screenprinting on a t-shirt.
  22. I don’t blame you at all for wanting to keep the Clippers name (I wouldn’t want to change it either—Clippers is a good name!), but as a Clevelander, I can tell you I’d be over the moon for a Guardians World Series win.
  23. The Longhorn logo contoured perfectly with the collar of the jersey, but yeah, with the big TEXAS wordmark and the Big 12 and Nike logos, they just had too much going on there.
