Separately, I’ve heard that the team is phasing out navy and going with wine/gold/black/white. This makes sense, as if you look closely, their primary court this season is limited to those colors (the drop shadow on the logo at center court is black instead of navy).

Fox did the Thursday night games in 4K through its app and a couple providers, but that was about it. Hopefully the other networks start to get on board soon.

Well, then boo on FIFA for using the most illegible font in the history of sports graphics.

Fox is using the worst font for team names in its World Cup score bar that I have ever seen, and it isn’t close.

THAT'S what that notch was? I thought it was just some sort of asymmetrical design, and it drove me nuts. Never noticed that it switched teams based on possession.

I was confused by why the Eagles graphics had light green accents while the Patriots had accents in an actual team color (red). Also, there was a weird notch between one team name box and their score, but not the other. 

Overall, the new graphics looked pretty good, but there were a few idiosyncrasies that made me scratch my head.

One of my biggest sports broadcasting pet peeves...

I'm watching Davidson-New Mexico State on ESPNU. Davidson is wearing red with white numbers. NMSU is wearing white with gray numbers. Guess which team is denoted on the score graphic with red background/white numbers and which one is dark gray/white?

This condensed NBA scorebug for ESPN is a huge upgrade over the giant bar last year. Muy bueno.
